This guy is a liar and a joke!
I found this guy thru craigslist and after taking a look at his «work» online I decided to give him a quick call for an estimate.
After talking to him for about 45 min on the phone just for a price quote, I only understood the following.
1. He is currently at some celebrity’s house doing work.
2. He is the «best of the best»
3. He doesn’t let you finish a sentence.
4. You’re going to need to step up to his level and his rules if you want any work done by him.
5. If you can’t produce a high budget than «he will just hang up the phone on you». No joke
after I realized that I’m on the phone with some egotistic jerk! I just told him to go jerk himself off.

Yup, I agree… this guy is a totally rude, offensive person and no matter how good his carpentry is he should not talk to people the way he does. You never know who is on the other end of your conversation, not that it matters.
As for the review before mine, anyone with any sense at all can tell it is totally fake.
He would not even come by to give an estimate, wanted pics to show the job and then gave me an inflated ridiculous estimate without even seeing the potential work, and when I said my budget would not accomodate his price he started cursing me out and swearing at me.
I would advise all to stay away from this egotistical maniac

zero stars– This person named DR. Wood sounded buzzed to begin with. asked me a couple of legit questions then went super weird on me.
short version of the story he starts telling me hes working on «some rockstar in Malibu’s place» then says, i «need to call him after hours because he’s knee deep in lumber»
I said excuse me. I cannot call after hours this is a business i am gone at 4pm. He said, «call me on your personal time. I want to help you. CAll around six.» I said no thank you sir. But i appreciate the help and he said well eat my ass. Reallll dirty and creepy.
I dont care what his carpentry is like that was his initial phone conversation.

I grew up in Tarzana, Ca. and have know Dr. wood since I was 15 years old ! I am in my 40s now .
He has been a TRUE friend and somewhat of a mentor for most of my life. He has never let me down in any way and has actually enhanced my existence !
I have know him to be extremely responsible, reliable and most of all committed to excellence and STAUNCHLY integral.
I ended up getting married to a millionaire in my late 20s and having 3 children. My children luuuuuv, respect & adore Dr. Wood ! He is truly one of the only adult men that I trust around my 11 year daughter, my 13 year son and my adult son of whom Dr. Wood has been an example of a «Real Man» to.
He has performed phenomenal work on all of our customs homes over a 20 year period to flawless perfection in every phase of every project I have hired him for. and have know him to do for others. I have not experienced hearing about him having any «bad press»!
I have referred him to all my friends and associates that have needed work done and always will ! As well as to my parents who love him. Once you hire Dr. Wood, you become spoiled and no other carpenter or crew would be a consideration.
Dr.Wood is a very tough no-​nonsense realist and bottom liner. I and not going to say that he is not a little rough around the edges. Because he is a true survivor and a miracle .
His kind of an «in your face» type on the outside but truly humble on the inside and gives ALL the credit for his gifts to a «HIGHER SPIRITUAL SORCE» !
I AM GOING TO CLOSE BY SAYING THAT «YOU CAN’T PLEASE ALL OF THE PEOPLE, ALL OF THE TIME»! ALSO THAT THERE IS TWO SIDES TO EVREY STORY.
I also believe that in many circumstances that it is not the tradesman that is the problem. Especially when we has a evidentiary STELLAR reputation. IN MANY CIRCUMSTANCES IT COULD VERY WELL BE THE HOME OWNER OR BUSINESS OWNER THAT IS THE PROBLEM. The customer is always right! (EXCEPT WHEN THEY ARE WRONG !)
I know for a fact that Dr. Wood bends over backwards to handsomely accommodate the needs of others, especially in a construction scenario. He is a great Man and «The Real Deal» old school tradesman …
