We are a full service residential painting company, performing interior and exterior painting, deck staining, carpentry and drywall repair, color consulting, and powerwashing. Our workers are career painters, experienced craftsmen who take great pride in their work and customer care.

We recognize that home and business painting is not an everyday occurrence for you. There is education and preparation that needs to occur so your project goes smoothly and according to your expectations. History

Established in 1992.

CertaPro Painters is North America’s most referred painting contractor and I, Ean Belafsky, am the local owner of CertaPro Painters of Sherman Oaks. I started this business because I wanted to bring a level of customer service to the residential painting that is not commonly found. My goal has always been to do great painting work our customers can be proud of while delivering world class customer service.

Based in Sherman Oaks, we have performed thousands of painting projects with that focus in Sherman Oaks, Bel Air, Woodland, Tarzana, Calabasas and Studio City. We’ve painted for your neighbors and friends, and have probably painted a home on your block!

Ean was great to work with. He was able to put together a team (led by Mario) who got a 5 day job done in 3, and put an extra 2 guys on the job with the guys working a Sunday (which they don’t usually do). The painting was done and everything was in order in time for the moving truck to roll on in. It was perfect. The paint job (for the whole house) was not only done quickly it was top notch work and just what we wanted. One of our doors was sticking a bit so Ean sent Mario back out to work on it. He explained that it was sticking prior to the paint job but that he would try sanding down the top of the door so that there was not point of contact. This was something that was probably outside of their perview of work, as it was a pr-​existing condition. But, he took care of it for us anyways. Also, they sealed all cracks and patched all hole left by the previous owner. If you are buying a house and want to give it that new look. Ean and his team are definitely your guys. And on top of it all, they are competitively priced and very professional! Will definitely be giving Ean a call for when we are ready to paint the exterior of the house. Highly recommend.

I never thought I’d use a paining company to paint my house. Lots of people I spoke to told me they had a handiman that paints on the side but none of those guys gave me the confidence that they would be efficient. I’m very glad I chose CertaPros. Ean’s quote was reasonable, his staff was friendly and efficient and their work was top notch. Also, remember this isn’t a big corporation– it’s a small family business who owns the franchise so it feels good to help out the community as well! I highly recommend!

CertaPro did a great job for us on a very difficult Condo Building restoration project.
We sustained significant water damage from a pipe leak on the third floor of our building. Ean, the owner of CertaPro Sherman Oaks, was one of several painting contractors who bid our project.
Ean gave us a competitive bid to restore the area of water damage, including drywall repair, removing damaged wallpaper, and skim-​coating the walls. Ean was also able to assist in upgrading our building by adding crown molding and skim-​coating the popcorn ceiling in our hallways, making them smooth.
The work was done with a high level of quality. The price was very fair and reasonable. The owner, Ean, is a pleasure to work with. As a company, CertaPro is honest, quite dependable, and were able to complete our very challenging project. I recommend them highly for your home or commercial project.

Ean came to our estimate meeting on time, he was super professional, he listened to our concerns, and gave us an estimate when he said he would, so we really appreciated Ean’s reliability. It took less than a week to paint the exterior of our house — and the painters were wonderful. As an ex-​builder I feel qualified to evaluate when a subcontractor knows what they are doing and executes a good job. Ean quoted a fair price and his crew did an excellent job.
Before the work commenced I asked a good number of detailed questions about how the work was to be performed. In every case Ean professionally addressed the concern and provided me with the technically accurate answer to my questions.
Although this was a basic condo his crew performed their work as if it was a first class residence. My standards are high and Ean’s crew exceeded my expectations. I am very comfortable in recommending Ean’s firm without any reservation.

I’m not surprised to see CertaPro has such an excellent Unilocal rating, as I would also highly recommend them. We hired them to paint the exterior of our house last month (through the Christmas holiday) and they did an amazing job. We were not even here part of the time due to a holiday trip, yet the job went on as if we were here. They did get somewhat delayed and it took longer than expected, but it was no fault of theirs. (We were having other contractors in at the same time and they were getting in each others way. Also, the December rain storm caused more delays being an outside job). But once the job was completed, we were MORE than satisfied. The house looks brand new. I can’t say enough good things about «Jesus», who was in charge on our job. He was the most pleasant and sweet man, he was very thorough and extremely detail oriented and did not cut corners in any way. He went above and beyond on our job to make us happy and I felt like he treated my house, as if it was his own. He took pride in the job he was doing and it showed… you just don’t find many workers like that anymore.
We also were very pleased with Ean. He stayed in close contact with us as the job progressed. His pricing was very fair and he was willing to work around our schedule.
If your in need of a very good and reliable painting company, one who values your business and truly wants you to be satisfied when they are done, then hire CertaPro. Working with Ean was great. Quote came on time and was very fair. All questions were answered professionally and promptly. He offered ideas and his confidence was really reassuring.
We painted the entire interior of our new home. We found colors at Home Depot which he matched at Sherwin Williams. Can’t tell the difference, which was a concern. Job ran over a day, but Ean was here making sure things were done and keeping us updated. We were fine with the extra time spent as it was a reflection of his commitment to quality. Not sure another painting crew would have taken the time to do it right — could have rushed and compromised but didn’t. And he never asked for additional compensation when the job turned out a little bigger and more involved than originally quoted.
Paint looked great great and house was left clean. Really nice to work with a contractor that returns calls, cares about his work, and treats you like a valued customer. Ean and Certapro were reliable and talented and we would recommend them to anyone looking for painters.

Certa Pro Painters were incredible and we would use them again in a heartbeat. Our house had an enormous amount of patching/​stucco work to do, and everything came out perfectly. We also had two pretty large patching projects we wanted them to do: 1) removing two old raised circuit breaker panels that were no longer in use and smooth flat and 2) we had a very large brick accent under our bay windows on the outside of the house, about 10 feet X 4 feet, and we wanted them to stucco over the brick to make it look completely smooth. Both projects were flawless and look incredible. Painting was also outstanding. Recommend them 100%.

As a Realtor and president of our HOA, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and customer service provided. We obtained 3 bids and even though Certapro was not the lowest, the bid was the most detailed and complete explaining every detail. Once the work began which was painting 2 large exterior townhouse buildings in Studio City, we were even more impressed. They showed up on time as they were expected, workers were courteous. and professional. The job was completed on time with little complication and we conducted a final walk through before final payment finding a few small finishing touches, they came a couple days later and did the final touches, I would highly recommend them for any painting job big or small if detail and customer service is important to you,

Made an appointment several days ahead for an estimate to get the exterior of my home painted. After waiting around on my day off I received a call 10 minutes before he is suppose to arrive to say that he cant make it. Not that he is going to be late but that he is not coming at all! He asked to reschedule 3 – 4 days later. Absolutely NOT. What is the point of an appointment if your not going to show. Imagine them getting to show up on a job… No Thanks. Guess they have all the work they can handle and don’t need mine. I will take my business elsewhere!
