Javier and his team are the best! He’s done a series of interior and exterior paint jobs on an older house for me. His team is consistently high quality, detail-​oriented, honest, pleasant, straightforward and easy to deal with. He evaluates the overall job and makes a fair estimate, and the work is excellent. He has expertise in all the issues and areas I needed addressed, including dealing with surfaces that get a lot of water, sun and heat — recommending the best long-​term solution for each. He also helped solve some peripheral problems such as filling in broken stucco, minor woodworking repair and other tasks related to the painting. Mostly I’m impressed by the quality and care he and his team take on every job, which is rare these days. Very highly recommended, and a great team.

I was so pleased with my experience! From the moment I met javier to the time the job was finished I was very happy. All of the workers were friendly and did a thorough job. There was a lot more work that needed to be done in prepping the house than previously thought and they fixed every little detail. The house looks great and I would recommend them to anybody. I got three estimates and they were not the most expensive and not the cheapest. We definitely paid a fair price.

I recently purchased a large one bedroom condo and needed it painted in four days. Javier’s professionalism was evident when he showed up on time to the estimate, delivered the quote within twelve hours, and answered my calls and texts in a timely manner. Even though his estimate was not the lowest, I chose to work with him because his quote was still competitive and he showed strong attention to detail. Throughout our time working together, he was very patient, had great taste in color, and was incredibly resourceful with time and materials.
I wanted to keep the same color that was left over from the previous owner. However, it was a hodgepodge of different brands and finishes which made it very difficult to match. It turned out the original colors were from Farrow & Ball, which will run you $ 97 a gallon. Javier recommended a different brand with no V.O.C. in the high quality finish which was much more economical and did not compromise quality. He was then able to match the paint perfectly!
The work started on Monday and was done by 5pm Thursday — just in time for my move-​in on Friday. Javier and his team of painters (including the affable and hardworking Benito) fixed several big cracks in the wall, mended water damage from an open window, patched holes within the woodwork, and smoothed over imperfections left over from previous paint jobs. I called Javier twice with additional work I needed done, including some light carpentry, and he was still able to finish the work and finish the job on time.
The paint job is absolutely fantastic. In the spirit on honesty, I will say I did notice a few imperfections, but these are very minor and I could probably touch them up myself. Otherwise, I’m 98% satisfied with it all. When I can afford to renovate my kitchen and bathroom, I will definitely call Javier again. I’ve already recommended him to friends. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him.

Javier and his team is absolutely great and very professional. They are experts at their work and they also make sure that you are happy with their work. They recently refinished (stain) our front entry door and I am just amazed by the amount of effort and energy they have put in it. Door turned out to be outstanding.
Javier also made sure that I understand the process of staining the door so that there are no doubts in my mind whether they are doing it correctly or not. His estimate was also reasonable.
I would definitely hire him again for other painting work in my house. I highly recommend to give him a call if you are looking for interior or exterior paint job in your home. I am sure you will be surprised by his calm attitude and his expert knowledge.

Wow. I called this company to get an estimate on our office space in the fashion district. Javier was very friendly and we scheduled a walk through for the next day. He asked me to text him the address, which I was happy to do.
It went downhill from there. When I text him the next day just to confirm that he was on his way, he replied 10 minutes. We were flexible on time, so when he called to say he was having trouble finding parking I told him that was fine, and gave a couple of suggestions for finding street/​metered parking. Less than 10 minutes later he text me that he was giving up and had to leave… what?
I guess I should be thankful that he saved us both the trouble– I mean how unprofessional is that? I would caution anyone on hiring a guy that gives up before he even gets out of the truck.

Javier is the best painter I have ever had work on my 1926 home. He painted a bedroom, and did such a fantastic job, I hired him to paint the entire exterior of my house. He and crew did a meticulous job of prepping for the paint job. They did a perfect job of painting the stucco and woodwork. It is very easy to work with Javier.
Is open to changes and will return to fix anything you think should be changed.

Javier came by and gave us an estimate. Not cheap. But we saw the many good reviews he got on Unilocal,and we needed to have a licensed painter. His crew started on time on the appointed date and finished on time as promised. The crew was courteous, conscientious, and considerate. They were very meticulous in their prep and did everything to our specifications. Anytime there was even a small issue or question, Javier made sure it was resolved quickly. He came by and inspected the job and made certain that we were satisfied with the work. He was excellent with helping us match color to the existing paint. The work was very neat and everything was cleaned up perfectly. Highly recommended.

I have also checked around a few painters, and Javier Dominguez was by far the best. They are prompt, did a great job for our 1-​bedroom interior apartment, while paying attention to the details of the painting. This included the type of paint material itself, the choices of the shine on the paint, the color, and the different corners and regions within the apartment. Price is reasonable. Will definitely recommend them to others too. Go with them if you can find a time slot on their schedule.

These guys did an incredible job. Javier came by and took a look at the property on his own and gave me an estimate for the exterior paint without me having to meet with him. The guys he brought with him were great! Never made any trouble and scraped and patched everything before painting two cotes. The place looks amazing and I even had them do some of the inside after seeing the job they had done. He was able to squeeze it in before his next scheduled job and finished in less then two days!
If you want fast and professional service for a good price these are the guys! For all other inquiries I would search somewhere else. Yeah there a bit busy but if you are able to catch them with a time frame where they or not booked this is the best option. Or try booking in advanced. Hope this helps :)

I hired Javier last summer to paint a small room, install new baseboards, spray the closet sliding doors, repaint the front door, and do some touchup work elsewhere in the house. He was always on time and came when he said he would. The guys he sent were terrific, easy-​going and professional. It took longer than we thought, and it was expensive, but the room looked good.
There were a couple of problems, and I called Javier and he came back out and had the guys fix them. When they sprayed the closet doors they got some of the white paint on an adjacent black door, but they painted the black door again for me. One of the walls had a shiny spot but they redid it and it looks great.
The baseboards are cracking and pulling away from the walls in places, unfortunately, but I do trust javier to fix them at no cost since he’s a standup guy.
I am going to have them paint another room this year if they can squeeze me in.

Contacted this company nearly a week ago for an estimate on a paint job. No one ever returned my inquiry. I simply moved on.

Javier and his crew did an excellent job patching and painting our entire home. The house looks amazing and modern. It was a big job and they took a little bit longer on the prep than expected but the end result is near perfect. Javier’s crew were total pros and handled the job beautifully. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend Dominguez paint to anyone in need of quality paint work.

Javier and crew are here again to patch and paint… we have used his services over and over and over and will continue to use them again for our building and for our home. Had to have my dining room ceiling patched and painted and it is by far the cleanest job I have ever seen. All debris was caught in a container… no dust… they are on time, quick, efficient and the best of any painters around. I am so thrilled, AGAIN!

Amazing costumer service! These guys are true professionals! Can’t say enough good things about the service provided by Javier! He’s honest, seasonably priced, fast and clean! I’d recommend him to anyone! By far the best home service I’ve ever received. My home looks amazing now with a fresh coat of paint both inside and outside!

Though I could have gone with a cheaper quote, his price was very reasonable to me for 3 days of work. I found Javier very professional and easy to deal with. He responds mostly via email and text and will call you in a reasonable amount of time if there is anything to discuss. His voicemail is always full, but that didn’t hinder our communication. He actually didn’t do any of the work, one of his workers did. The job involved painting my front entranceway porch which spanned two floors in height, power washing the porch prior to painting, removing some sea shells that the prior owner stuck to the porch steps lol, and hanging new house 12″ house numbers that were tricky to hang as they were high quality with fasteners only on the inside so a template had to be followed.
The only issue I had was that unfortunately I don’t speak Spanish and the worker mostly did, but Javier bridged any communication gaps and when all was said and done I am a happy customer. I would highly recommend him (and I’m not an easy customer to please). Seems as if most contractors play games with the final price trying to throw things in at the end, but he was very honest and its nice to write a check for good work that matches the amount we discussed up front.

He came into our condo, and really took him time in each room, knew when a wall had been repaired, he could touch the walls and tell me what happened by feel. He found many small issues that I never noticed, pointed out different textures in places. He explained each one, suggested several solutions. Gave tips on what wall would look good accented, and estimated the painted need perfectly.
Punctuality:
He was one time, worked every day with this team, finished exactly on time, and our place was impeccably clean after he left.
Quality:
Very clean work, you can tell he did all the necessary prep for each area. The walls are perfect, no spill, no over stokes. Dinning room walled needed a skin coat to cover many patches and poor work, and it came out amazing. Did a accent wall in the living room, one in the master bed room, and did a ¹⁄₃ color horizontal split in the kids room so I can install a chair rail. Everything was exactly has we asked, and you can see was done by a pro.
Personality:
Javier was very profession, calm, and soft spoken. I found him to be genuine, knowledgeable, and was an excellent communicator via phone and text.
Price:
His quote was higher than the other one I had, but I could tell he was a quality painter and quality person, and was happy to pay a little more for the great results. I could tell he would take his time. The other painter walked around and after 5 – 6 minutes threw out a price, and just felt like he wanted to leave.

These guys are real pros. I always get multiple bids and thoroughly check into companies/​people before letting them do any work on my place. In fact, I tend to avoid paying at all for things that I can do myself, since even though I may not have as much expertise, I often end up feeling like I could have done a better job just because I care about every detail — most contractors seem to just do a «good enough» job. But Javier and his guys really did seem to take as much care in painting my place as I would have, so I’m really glad I went with them.
When Javier came over to do the estimate, he struck me as being extremely sincere and conscientious, which is really what sold me on using Dominguez. I’d patched some holes myself, and even experimented with the texture spray stuff, but he found some spots I’d missed and said they would take care of them during prep.
I did find online that it’s a good practice to make sure any estimates you get are itemized, which Dominguez’s wasn’t — Javier just looked at everything and then came up with a total that included all work and the paint. I was a little worried about that, because a) I wasn’t sure whether he’d remember everything we discussed, and b) I just would have liked to see where the total came from — which things cost what and exactly what would be done — paint price, prep work listed out, broken-​down amounts by rooms or walls vs. closets vs. baseboards, etc.
Still, the total was reasonable, Javier assured me that they really would do everything properly as discussed, and they really did! When they showed up to start work, Javier walked around again with his team, giving detailed instructions and flagging specific spots for them to pay extra attention to. They removed outlet covers, took down blinds and closet shelves, cleaned and prepped the walls, etc. — so, everything you’re supposed to do, unlike whoever painted the place before I moved in (there was paint rolled right over the edges of outlet covers and other fixtures). Anyway, the place looks great and I’m very happy with the work.

I got bids from 3 painting contractors — Dominguez Painting Co, Affinity Painting, and Sam Painting.
David, from Affinity Painting, came in and left in 5 min. saying he’d email me the quote. He seemed like he was in a hurry and had no time for me so I didn’t even consider using him.
Sam from Sam Painting was very nice and took the time to give me a quote but
I liked Javier from Dominguez Painting Co the best. I just had a better feeling about going with Javier. I’m glad I did because he’s professional, courteous, trustworthy, hard working, and very responsible of his crew and their work. He also took the time to listen to what I want and he suggested better colors!!! The interior of my house looks amazing!!!
Although his crew did break my toilet tank lid and the blinds when taking them down. But he was responsible enough to compensate me for new ones.
Dominguez Painting Co is the way to go. They will definitely take care of you.

I wonder how many people use Unilocal and don’t write a review? This time I just had to share what a great company this is. Javier and his crew (Luis Segedo and Hugo Martinez) are the best painters I have come across. They were professional, clean, organized and reasonably priced. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I took a chance, had Javier come out and give me a quote, and hired him on the spot. We made several changes and added on work during this project, and they were very flexible and accommodating. My wife and I and my neighbors haven’t stopped talking about how great our house looks. These guys are going to be my go to painters and I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for peace of mind.
