Steve the Bike Guy

I happened upon Steve’s when I was riding nearby and had a flat. He was great, fixed my flat and sold me a new tire (which I badly needed) very quickly. At nearly the same time he served 3 or 4 other customers very effeiciently. The only downside are his hours, which are too short (though for a one man show that’s understandable (.

I broke a spoke not too far from Steve’s shop. Far from home, Steve stopped what he was doing (and he was busy) to get me road worthy again.
On top of all of this, I didn’t have money to pay him on the spot and he didn’t mind doing the work with the promise of pay later.
I highly recommend Steve.

Steve has come to my office to work on my bike several times and always has done a great job. He showed up on a rainy day and simply setup a tent in the parking lot and did his thing. I live around Boston and he has shown to be much more knowledgable and capable than most of the kids who do repairs at the big bike shops in the city. Extremely convenient. He comes to you and fixes your bike on the spot, where most others make you leave your bike in their shop for a week. Highy recommended.

I ordered a bike off of Amazon and have no faith in my abilities to put it together. I Googled for a bike shop around me, Ashland MA, and was thrilled to find out there was someone who will actually come to your house to fix/​put together your bike. I went to his website and he got back to me quickly. I sent him a link to the bike I had purchased off Amazon, and he politely told me to return it because it’s a piece of junk and instead of using his services to put it together, he recommended going to a bike shop in Framingham to purchase a better bike. As I haven’t ridden a bike in about a decade and the better bikes were, of course, much more money, I informed him of my situation, and he said he understood. I did like his honesty of giving up business to try to help me out though, you don’t find that any more.
He informed me he was on vacation, but because I lived so close to him, he would come out (at 8:00 AM to accommodate my schedule no less!) He was on time, professional, thorough, and charged me the low end of his estimate. I will be a Steve the Bike Guy customer as long as I have a bike now.

Steve the Bike Guy is a Mobile Bike Care Specialist. He will come to your home, fix or tune up your bike. Steve came to tuneup a 1.5 year old bike that I own. He came on time and was thorough in his inspection of what I needed and even added a few extra items when he found that he had finished early with my bike. He was friendly and accommodated to my schedule. I could have dropped it off at a bike shop, however, for half the price I was able to get it done in less than an hour and now I can use my bike this weekend!
I would highly recommend this service.
