Two stars for their shakes! I like the theme inside. But when it comes down to the food… The burgers are too much; as in when you bite into the burger all you taste is meat. It has that grilled taste but not much flavor. Someone told me they were known for their sauce but I can’t even taste it. Fries don’t even come with it! Their burgers are over priced(because each one comes with another piece of meat that you can’t taste).

I love all of their food, frequent the one in Georgetown. You have to wait a bit sometimes, but it’s so worth it. Chuck roast ground fresh every morning. Yummy shakes. They have breakfast sandwiches too. And now beer!

So I went into Zippys with my son and order the usual. My son ordered a plain burger with just cheese no sauce. That doesnt mean add pickle, lettuce, and onions. So we sit down and the two family order behind us. No big deal. Until we see there huge order go out to there table. I don’t say anything. Then the next couples three burger order comes up and many more to go orders go out. I ask how much long as those tables came after me. So they say it up now. So two more times she has to go back and ask were our order is. I am upset now. So we get home and the plain burger isn’t plain it has everything except sauce and tomato. Not what I ordered. So I call in to let them know to make a new one for me. So the cook tells me I got what was on the ticket. I told him whats on the ticket and what I ordered are two different things. So he tells me to just scrape everything else off it. and then it will be what I ordered. I said no just make me what I asked for not what was written down. People screw up orders just correct it. He says no so I lose it and he tells me I’m out of luck and no refund or no correct order and hangs up on me. Rude, disrespectful, and not professional when it comes to customer service. Then to get to my burger its not correct either. this is the 3rd time in a row I have gotten the wrong items. or someone elses order. Maybe they should figure it out. I will not be going there again.

It’s all worth the wait! Zippy’s is the place to come to! If you live near by I recommend it, even if the line is like an hour wait, trust me you will get over it with a fantastic burger and shakes. But who cares about the time, that tells you how much people go there because they love it! I personally love all types of their burgers, I also love their chocolate shakes. Great place to come anytime, you don’t even have to go to get a burger if it were summer time, great amount of shakes to order. Their fries are very nice, original but cooked and seasoned nice. Video games in the corner, nice workers, give zippy’s a try!

SO.GOOD. Favorite local burger place. It’s usually pretty busy but that’s just because it’s good and everyone wants to eat there.

This was the worst burger I’ve ever had. I went to the counter to explain to the staff and was argued with, given various excuses that have nothing to do with my end of the deal. First, the burger was over cooked. A small heap of dry beef. It had only two small pieces of bacon. The bun: was cold. Second, the tables were filthy. Greasy, overflowing trashcans, most tables were a wreck. I think I chose the less filthy of the bunch. Third, the wait was unlike any previous experience with this establishment. Typically I go to Georgetown, never been to the White center spot. I was thrown out of the place for engaging in dialog with the«kitchen management». And a message to you, young man, your lack of respect, your never ending excuses and invalid arguments have caused me to never step foot in a zippy’s again. Sorry Blaine, I grew up listening to your band. I thought it was a good idea to support your endeavors. Your staff have ruined that idea.

I deeply love Zippy’s burgers. They were with me when I gave up red meat for 90 days, all meat for 60 days, right up until vegan challenge month.(Get the Mush Mouth with the black bean patty… amazing!) Their tots are the crispiest and I have never had a bad fry order. The one meal that always eluded me was breakfast. I love a good breakfast sandwich, but Zippy’s didn’t open until after I started work and stopped serving breakfast before I usually could take my break. I finally got a schedule where I could take earlier breaks and made a beeline to Zippy’s. I have dreams about their breakfast sandwiches still. Their sausage patty is the most flavorful, crispy, salty deliciousness. Being the egg weirdo I am, I would prefer my eggs scrambled/omelet style over fried but will happily eat this sandwich just the way they serve it.

Great burgers period. The end. They have some of the best burgers I’ve had in my travels. I like that they grind their burger fresh everyday which makes a big difference in taste in my opinion. They have some great burger selections & plenty of toppings if you want to make your own custom burger. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop.

This place is very low-key and totally awesome. Vintage arcade games and old school burger ads just add to its charm. My boyfriend ordered the Last Gasp, a 1⁄3 pound burger with bacon, cheese, a fried egg, and a sausage link. He pretty much inhaled it! I got the classic Zip burger with bacon and cheese and substituted grilled onions for the red onion. I would say my burger was solid and I would definitely order it again. Sweet potato fries and a strawberry milkshake were also consumed tonight. Everything we ordered was completely worth the price. I am giving 4⁄5 stars because my bun got pretty soggy towards the end. I would have loved if they toasted it just a little to bit to avoid that. But still… We will definitely be back!

From the vintage arcade games to the great burgers and shakes this place is fabulous. My eight year old likes the Wacky Meal with tots and I like their mainstay the Zip Burger which is a 1⁄3 lb burger with lettuce tomato and relish, cheese and bacon are optional. They play great music here and the staff are really nice. They have a large collection of classic sodas along with glass bottles of Coke Pepsi and Dr Pepper. Old school hamburger stand advertisements and burger themed antique toys hang on the walls(did parents in the 50s really let kids fry burgers in their playrooms? SMH). There are lots of reasons why your next burger should come from Zippy’s Burgers!

Fantastic burgers at this spot! I got the last gasp with some onion rings and sauce on the side and it was great. The hot link was a bit on the side and the buns were falling apart but when you but into the burger none of that matters because it’s so good. The egg on the burger is a classic addition that makes such a big difference and the hot link is something do different that makes this burger a huge winner. Fact is without either of these additions this would still be an awesome burger. My girlfriend got the zip royale and that was very good too. The cheese was a major flavor in between the parties. I really liked the buns. Not brioche but very very tasty though they did fall apart some. The tots are awesome, very fried and crisp and awesome. I can’t wait to try the totchos!

This place is dangerously good. I try not to eat too much meat, so if I am ordering meat it better be amazing. This place did not disappoint. The Zip Royale was flavorful and so juicy that it ran down my chin. I had to run to the restroom to wash my face after. It was amazing. The fries, shake, and house-label root beer were delicious as well. For vegetarians: this place also got two big thumbs up from my veggie bf. He got the black bean veggie burger and added an egg.

30 minutes is 100% worth the drive. The staff is helpful and friendly. The ambiance is delightful. I am a fan! This will be a short review because there’s really not a whole lot to say that hasn’t been said already. I will say this though, the ONLY reason I am giving this lovely establishment a 4 instead of a 5 is because they need a more stable bun. Within 2 or 3 bites, my bun had already started falling apart. At the end, you couldn’t tell that I had started with a constructed burger, and I am not typically a messy eater. Other than that, I shall return!

This burger place is the beating heart of White Center. It is a family favorite and my wife has memories of coming here as long as she can remember. You can depend that Zippy’s burgers will be big, juicy, and full of flavor. I always get the Mush Mouth: Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms on BOTH sides of the patty. Fries aren’t included but they are fun to split, especially the sweet potato fries. I love adding bacon to the blue cheese burger too. A perfect combo. Don’t even question if you should come here. Just do it. Red Robin ain’t got nothin on Zippy’s!

My co-worker offered to pick up lunch one day. I got the Zip burger and tater tots! The burger was pretty good. It comes with tomato, pickles, red onions, lettuce and Zippy’s secret sauce, which tasted kind of similar to thousand island dressing with mayo. The burger is charbroiled and their patties are ground chuck and formed fresh daily. My co-workers got the No. 11 and No. 5 ½ and both said that their burger was really good! I actually heard about Zippy’s before on the Food Network. There’s a show called«Mystery Diners» where people go undercover at a restaurant to find out why that restaurant is having problems. I think the mascot was causing problems in the show. Another favorite restaurant to frequent during lunch!

2nd time here… And always satisfied! Great Customer service, friendly staff, clean dining area(restrooms are clean too!), lots of interesting hamburger memorabilia and old games like pinball and video arcade stuff. Last time we were here on a weekday around lunch time with plenty of seating. Today there was a line, but it went by fast. We decided to take our food to go and enjoy the sunny weather! I’m a fan of getting the Lil Zip… And if I’m hungrier, I get the Lil Zip Royale. Just the right amount of food for me, while the hubby and I share fries or onion rings. My two kiddos each get the Kids get the Zippy the Yum Yum Burger Boy’s Wacky Meal(comes with a Lil Zip, choice of ½ tots or ½ fries, and a Capri Sun). Perfect for their size, sometimes hubby and I have to eat some of their tots and finish the last few bites of their burgers, but we aren’t complaining. :) All around awesome place! Definitely give them a try if you haven’t already!

Can you say burger heaven? I absolutely waited years to come here… and I don’t know why I even waited so long! Shame on me! I came here on a Saturday early evening and it was packed at 5pm! It’s actually a pretty big space in the restaurant, lots of open space, fun old skool games like pinball and big tables! The line was a little long, but there were also a few heads here and there waiting for their food to go and at the booths. Surprisingly, they have a good system for delivering out the tabs for boothsm and to-go orders! Immediately upon entering, even as you’re walking from the parking lot, there’s nothing but the salivating smell of bacon bacon bacon! And fresh grilled burgers. Omgosh the aroma definitely teases you a little bit. But to me, it’s hella worth the tease. I ordered the last gasp burger. Honestly, who wouldn’t want a hotlink and some eggs on their burger? I added extra jalapeños for .80 c nets I believe. The wait isn’t too long… Probably 15 minutes or less? It probably took 5 – 7 mins to order, and another 10 to wait, that isn’t too bad considering they had soooo many people ahead of me and in the booths waiting for their food. Everyone seriously looked like they weren’t waiting long and there was a bunch of stuff to entertain you with anyways. The last gasp is nothing less of juicy, savory, delicious, bomb, and everything-I’ve-ever-wanted-burger– burger. There was tons of flavor in the patty itself. Very very flavorful and cooked to perfection with the right fat to meat ratio. Seasoned so well. The cheese was oozing. The sauce was dripping. The jalapeños were poppin. The bacon was the perfect cook, a little crisp, a little tender still, just like my preference. The egg was perfectly cooked, and the link was hot damn exactly what you want in a last gasp. All the sinful things you dream of, in one burger. The first bite was messy but it was like a bomb exploded in my mouth. It was that good. I didn’t want to stop. Sauce and juices dripping all over my arms hahaha had to stop to take off my jacket, it was too late though, sauce was already running on the sleeves hahaha. The one downfall, is I wish the bun was toasted. It got a little soggy from the tomato, jalapeños, pickles, sauce and juices. That was a let down, but otherwise, the flavors are there and more! Definitely worth the 8ish bucks. I dream of this often and it’s definitely my spot now! Ps. Parking lot is tiny.
