I go to this Bartell store to fill one of my prescriptions. They have always been super nice to me there even though I have a bit of a weird medication that requires speicial ordering. This review could get up to 5 stars except for the last time I got my meds, they put it in another bottle without the desiccant that comes with it(this is in spite of the fact that the bottle specifically says NOT to remove the desiccant or transfer to another bottle. As far as their food/grocery, I’ve never really bought anything there.

I’ve had issues with the pharmacy in the past but I am glad to say it has gotten much better since they have an automated refill line. No more lost refills and customer service is better. Although it is still a bit slow on some occasions. It would be nice if they had more than one cashier when it does get busy. Items from their weekly ads are always easy to find since they are stocked near the front of the store or in the middle aisles and shelves are nice and low which makes for easier browsing. This is the closest Bartell near me so I come here often for prescriptions and their sales. The clerks are friendly and always ask if I need any assistance.

The automatic door opens too slow at this location! I almost always run into it. I like their quick watch repair and 1-hour photo. I agree with Jeff, the low shelves are great, they don’t make shopping over powering and being able to see the entire store is helpful when looking for items.

I generally like this store, I mean what’s not to like? It’s a Bartell not the Taj Mahal and I would probably use it more than I do if it were not for the fact that it is right next to a major bus connection which means a vast array of people of all descriptions may be encountered at any moment. But sometimes that’s the draw… anyway having just had a major [for me] medical procedure and feeling lots of pain and nausea I drive there to get what I need. I have used them many times in the past generally with favorable results and they have my info on file so lets do this… I want to stare at the wall at home as soon as possible until I feel human again. LADYBEHINDTHECOUNTER: «we wont have this till four thirty.» [its 1: PM now] ME: «what!» LADY: «We only have one pharmacist and were way backed up » ME; «Okay» I’m not happy about this, I’m in pain and«sh*t happens » but I understand it is a business and it is not unreasonable to have things not go smoothly once in a while… so I drive home and crash on the couch I wake up at 4:30 but I feel so crappy I decide I’ll go later and proceed to sleep more, At six my wife calls and ask if I need anything before she comes home. Yes if they will give you the prescription that would be great. She picks it up at 6:30 and informs me it was not ready when she got there! We eat dinner and I ask where the other bottle is? WIFE: «What other bottle?» ME: «I gave them two prescriptions they didn’t give you both of them? WIFE: «No». So we call and after a long time they find it and say: «It’s ready.» Well peachy king why the &$%#& didn’t you give it to us then. So at 8: PM we get there wait in line for 10 minutes get up to the counter and they begin the search for the prescription supposedly ready at 4:30. Finally they find it not filed where it is suppose to be. Now at this point I’m upset I had to come back a second time when I brought it in at 1PM but what irks me is in the consult when I see that the medicine should have been given to me when I came in and now she informs me to eat the entire days pills all at once to catch up! PHARMACIST: «This may cause nausea.» ME: «You have no idea.»

This a big, bright, fairly new Bartell. It’s usually well stocked and easy to find things. This locations also has low shelfs so you can see across the whole store. For what ever reason, I like this style in a drug store. The staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable.
