Wax On Spa

I REALLY enjoyed my experience at Wax On. I picked it purely on the Unilocal reviews and everyone was right! I went in for my first wax experience ever (besides my eyebrows). I got an upper leg wax and a brazilian.
I met with Erin K. She was fabulous! She did a great job of explaining everything to me and answering all my questions (of which there were many). She also made me feel very relaxed. I was fascinated to hear about the science behind body hair growth and waxing which I had never even considered. I highly recommend her.
Other than that, you can’t beat this place’s style. First, it’s called Wax On. SO AWESOME. The punch card you get (after so many brazilians you get one free) is called a BEAVER CARD. I also got a sticker that says «Bush Happens.»
So I got my beaver card and I will definitely be going back! :)

I’m new to Seattle and chose Wax On based on other Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed; I had a wonderful waxing session with Monica. She was thorough and gave me great advice for managing the unwanted hairs in my life. She was also accommodating with the time, as I had to push my appointment at the last minute. On top of all that, Monica treated my waxed area with great products and you couldn’t even tell I’d just had a wax. I’m thrilled to have found this place; I’ll definitely be back!

Madalynn does the perfect brow wax! I’ve been searching for someone with her expertise for years. Very reasonable price too. I will be coming back as long as she is working here!

My usual waxing place was booked so I decided to give Wax On Spa a try. It was really great, Athena was friendly I had to move an appointment and showed up 5 minutes late but she still took me in. The brazilian here was nearly painless and I have had brazilian’s for 2 – 3 years now. Thank you again Athena :) I am changing waxing places because of this wonderful woman.

I love the wax on spa. I’ve been to a couple other places for a Brazilian, ‘fancier’ places that charged more, (just out of convenience because I move every year or so) and none have been as good as the Wax on Spa. I have seen 4 different women in 2 separate locations and each one has been super professional, friendly and thorough every time. It’s easy to get in for an appointment even same day (I have done this a couple times, although usually schedule weeks in advance) and they are flexible about how long between waxes qualifies as ‘maintenance’ which I love because my hair grows at a different rate than most, and other salons I have been to are pretty rigid about that. They always do a beautiful job and are very quick about it, which is great because it’s not the most pleasant of spa treatments!

I went and saw Nikki this weekend and I have nothing but positive things to say. This was the quickest, most efficient wax that I’ve ever had done. She was so knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. I had been going to the same person for the last five years, so it was weird for me to see someone completely new. I’ll definitely come back to Nikki and Wax On.

Brita just took my brows from fuzzy caterpillars to refined frames for my eyes. She also tinted them which was nice so I don’t always have to color them in! Go see her, she’s awesome :)

I went to Wax On Spa a couple weeks ago for a Brazilian. I had called to see if I had to set an appointment or if I could do a walk in. The gal on the phone was rude and did not have much costumer service… whatever. I set an appointment for that day. I show up and it turns out that some of my hairs hadn’t fully grown out from my last month’s Brazilian, so I ask her if I should just wait for the hairs to grow and she insisted that it was fine. OKAY. Lexi waxes me and after she was «done» she excuses herself and informs me she’ll be waiting outside. I look down and there are obvious spots where she had missed. I went out to the lobby to ask her to fix it. Flash forward a week… there is already a growth of hair. Seriously? I had another gal (she owns her own business in Kirkland) fix her mistake. Thank you Lexi for not doing your job correctly. I wasted $ 75 on some half-​ass job.

How could you not like a wax spa with a taxidermy beaver in the front window?
I have gotten my brows done here a number of times (though not regularly) and they always do a great job.
Lots of locations to choose from! Best way to get an appointment is to send a message online and they will call you to schedule.

I wanted to update my review that I made several months ago about Wax On Spa. I was messaged by the owner saying that my review was essentially not valid because it was negative and I was therefore an ex-​employee that was trying to sabotage her rating…
First of all I think it’s sad that Wax On Spa either has so many angry ex-​employees that they automatically accuse me of being one for the sole purpose of ruining her rating or simply can’t take any criticism. Sounds to me like they have pissed off more than just me.
The next thing I wanted to add was that because my review was not about the «service» it was not valid. Customer service is part of the business, this is Business 101. My review is valid because it was part of my experience while at Wax On Spa and this is a website for customers to review their experiences at businesses.
Anne U. (who is the owner of Wax On Spa) aka Anne Uhlir, stated in her message to me that the owner doesn’t even live in Seattle so it could not possibly be her. It’s probably best to update your Facebook account before saying so– makes it more believable.
Overall, not impressed with the owner’s behavior (AGAIN) and I would not recommend to anyone.

Best Brazilian wax in Seattle! Words from a Brazilian woman!!! They always have a special price, what makes this place even better! Great service!

After trying several spas in Seattle, this one is the one I keep returning to.
The place is easy to get two, it has two entrances (one has a stuffed beaver in the window display). The girls are very fast and thorough. The wax seems to hold longer than at other spas, but that may be just in my head.
I usually can get an appointment, but their call backs can be a hit and miss sometimes. Several times they squeezed me in on the day of which was great.
The underarm is $ 20, but I would rather pay that and be happy with the result.

Jaclyn in the waxing queen! I went in for my first waxing and got my brows did! They look fabulous! Jaclyn did an amazing job! She quick, professional and I personally found it pretty painless. Also, having the right shape of brows does wonders for your face, can really brighten up your eyes and give your face a «lift.»
I’m going to grow out the «underbrush» to have waxed next. A good friend of mine had her WHO-​HA waxed by Jaclyn right before my brows, which she described as the least painful experience from waxing EVER and she will now be going in to see Jaclyn on a regular basis.
I will be going back to see Jaclyn as soon as I have something to wax!

I was really happy with my services here! Super quick, thorough, and she was very friendly — always good for a modest person getting a wax! It was clean and easy to get booked. I will be back!

After living and being waxed everywhere from New York to Los Angeles to Honolulu, I’m very picky about who I trust with my ladybits, and I can say that Wax On is among the best of the best.
The facility is quiet and clean. The treatment rooms have walls that don’t extend all the way to the ceiling, so other patrons can hear you, but I’m often the only one there when I go on Friday afternoons. The wax type they use, and heat setting, do not irritate my very sensitive skin, and as far as pain level goes it’s standard for a good wax. My favorite Wax On employee is Leslie, who will completely put me at ease with chit chat and make a wax below the belt feel like a totally normal activity. She is also very thorough and will go back over an area with tweezers to make sure every little hair is gone.
I’m also an especially big fan of Wax On’s body butter, which they sell in little jars, specifically the earl grey and rose varieties.

I had the afternoon off and decided that I need to find my new waxing salon in the area. I made a few calls and realized that I would have to be a walk in. The first two calls no one picked up and finally I reached Sarah who was very flexible and able to squeeze me in. (Loved this.) Other businesses called later — you snooze you lose folks.
The store is located in the basement of the Dubliner in Fremont. Very edgy in décor. Sarah was great — professional, clean practice, friendly and experienced. I was in and out of there no problem. The only drawback was the price. I wasn’t able to compare but I think in general waxing in Seattle might just be pricer in than it is in Los Angeles.
Regardless, I booked my next appointment with Wax On and am glad to have found my «go to» girl.

Heather is the best! Please be sure to visit her at the Fremont store. She is too cool! Incredible personality and is attentive to the detail of hair removal!

After a tip from Inna that wax on was looking for «models», as they call them, for eyebrow waxing, I went ahead and volunteered.
It’s free, what could it hurt? Get it? Waxing. hurt? ha ha.
Anyway, in email exchanges setting up the appointment, I was asked if I needed anything else… and pretty much the entire array of options was offered. Wow. Sign me up twice.
I just got home from the appointment, and I ended up with (free) eyebrow wax, eyebrow tinting and a lash tint. Absolutely fantastic results.
Sadly, as we were ready to dive into the «everything else» the volunteers from the appointment time after me as well as some who were quite late all showed up.
I really couldn’t be happier with the services, the staff, anything.
My *one* little drawback (which is not enough to cost them a star) is that though the rooms are private… most of the upper half of the «walls» (from 6−8ft on up to the ceiling) are fabric. Which makes every sound, conversation, whatever audible to pretty much the entire spa.
Not that big of a deal, but for delicate procedures or people new to some of the procedures, eh… it’d be a little weird. Takes away your sense of privacy a little bit.
Their prices seem pretty on par with anywhere else.
For it being free for me, was awesome, but if their regular staff is even half as awesome as those just «graduating» and joining the ranks, then it would be well worth being a paying customer of their salons.
The bonus is, there is also a location much closer to me, but until I’m more of a «pro» at all this, I think I’ll go back to my lady from today for sure!

I am one of those people that will happily keep an already-​made appointment… but, if I don’t have one, I wait and wait until I get the urgent «need» to get a same-​day (brow) wax… and then try my best to find a good near-​by spot that would take me as a walk-​in.
Wax On girls are very busy and don’t work like that. I liked the price ($ 15 for brows) and what I saw on my one attempted walk-​in, however, so I decided to give Wax On Fremont a call on Saturday and hoped that they had some time for me on Sunday.
Thankfully I was in luck! Sabrina had ONE available time slot and it just happened to be at the PERFECT time for my schedule that day.
Pros…
+ The conversation was good. I got the impression that this would be one of those experiences where we’d have a light ongoing conversation that we’d pick right up and continue every 3 – 4 weeks.
+ She did not ask me if this was my first time getting my brows waxed. I really DON’T like being asked that!
+ She let me make the suggestion of scheduling the second appointment.
+ I am very happy with the result. They are cleaned up and have a nice shape… and still look natural. I was amused by the tiny eyebrows I got elsewhere earlier this year, but I definitely prefer them to look a lot more natural.
Reason why it’s not quite 5 stars (yet)…
~ My eyes teared up a lot during the slightly painful wax. I do in ways enjoy that part of the experience, but I have heard many tales of pain-​free brow waxes…
In any case I am proud to say that I have finally found my regular (brow) waxing girl!!! I feel like such a grown-​up now that I’m no longer a fresh-​out-​of-​college table-​hopper looking to one day become someones regular waxing client but not knowing when that someday would be…
fyi: The website says corporate offices are closed on the weekend, so weekend appointments made on the weekend can only happen if you call the location directly (and they have a time slot available).
