If you reading this review you are probably wondering if you should trust your precious brows to PowerSpa. I had the same question back over 5 years ago and have never looked back. Tina Powers, the proprietor and chief technician is an artist who takes the time to understand each clients expectations and then makes her magic! I can’t believe people walk into any old salon or mall kiosk just to save time and money to have any brow hacker mow them down.
I just visited PowerSpa last Friday and as usual had a great experience.
Tina takes the time to make the visit relaxing and educational. As many have said, her spa is in a large eclectic old house that has other health offerings. You can see by the pics that you are in a private room not laying on your back in the mall or in a busy cosmetic department with strangers walking all around you.
You can make appointments on line which I love from my iPhone and can check availability which is often at the last minute.
If you have been looking for a professional that you can ALWAYS count on to care for your brows and keep them beautiful you should try PowerSpa.

Tina is a professional, and absolutely knows how to wax men’s eyebrows correctly. That is saying a lot because many do not. Her pricing is higher than we have paid in the past, but at least her work is worth it.

BEST experience ever. Tina is amaaaaazing! I never thought I could have nice eyebrows with the little that I have. She shaped them perfectly and made them easy to maintain myself. She was also very helpful with a skincare solution I very much needed. I will absolutely be keeping Tina as my brow specialist!

My entire life I have never liked my eyebrows. I’ve had then shaped dozens of times and still never liked them. For the first time ever I absolutely love my brows! She took quality time shaping and drew them out first to make sure it’s what I wanted. She also took time to talk about my acne issues while she was working and even sent me home with numerous sample products to try!
Her spa is in a building with other health professionals such as an acupuncturist and a massage therapist. She also has use of the sauna and red light therapy room.
Overall, perfect experience and I have already made my follow up appointment!

My brows are gorgeous, and thanks to the hard wax, no telltale red marks around them! Tina is lovely and just guaranteed a new regular client. I feel so much more put-​together when my brows are done, and it was great to have someone explain where the arch should go, how the length should be, etc. I feel gorgeous, despite having been up past midnight drinking Rainier last night.

I have been going to PowerSpa for almost 4 years now and will forever remain a loyal client to Tina. She does an amazing job on keeping my brows in perfect shape and it took me a long time to find someone who doesn’t over pluck/​thread/​wax in the Seattle area.
Tina has also worked wonders on my skin. As I have mentioned in my previous review, I used to have bad breakouts that left scarring. I have tried many of her skin treatments such as her facial peel treatments, signature facials and most consistently Microzone treatments. What I love about Tina is that she pays close attention to problem areas on my face. It’s so hard to pick a favorite skin treatment since I love being pampered but Tina definitely will recommend something best suited for your needs. Thanks to Tina’s expertise, my skin looks flawless and I now feel even more confident to walk out of the house without foundation. To this day, I still book a Microzone and Brow Wax appointment every month so Tina can maintain my perfect brows and prevent breakouts from popping up again.
Another thing I love about Tina is that she also takes the time to educate proper skin care. Before I met the Queen of Waxing and Skincare, all I thought there was to acne prevention was seeing a dermatologist and washing my face with random over-​the-​counter products. Luckily, Tina took me under her wing and taught me how to cleanse my face at home and gave me tips on how certain changes to my diet can also effect my acne.
Seriously though, once you visit PowerSpa you’ll keep coming back!

Tina is simply the best. Typically when I get my brows waxed, I focus on trying to convince the person doing them not to leave them too thin. With Tina there is no such concern. She understands bone structure and hair texture and determines the look that will be most flattering to you. She even told me that I could grow them in a bit in specific areas. The best part: after one visit, they look more polished and classic than they have in years. I can’t wait to see the full effect when they grow in.

You know what, Seattle? You’re kinda mean. You say you have people that know how to wax and you give me the allure of sugaring… but all you delivered to me was over plucked brows, burns and ingrown ick where no male/​female should have any.
But I forgive you, Seattle… you offered up Tina as an angelic gift for enduring your hazing. We’re bygones.
Not only was her space comfortable and her heart melting smile calming, but she had what I’ve been searching for since I moved here: Hard Wax. Hard wax is the only option when getting a brazilian; no burns, ingrown hair and no friggin’ pain. It takes skill to use it and she was the only one I’ve met so far who had it; so I knew she was the real deal.
She’s magical and I thought I would never find anyone who would do my brows justice. Tina’s new nick is ‘Browgician’. I never had anyone in Seattle preen my arches so well! I don’t know about you, but she has a customer for life… or at least until she retires.

After some pretty awful recent experiences with brow waxing, I finally worked up the nerve to set up an appt. I had heard some good things about Tina and PowerSpa, and after reading the Unilocal reviews, decided to give her a try.
What a delightful experience it was! Tina is truly a brow artist, who combines pleasant conversation, as she masterfully sculpts and beautifies even the most ragged and out-​of-​shape brows (mine, pre-​Tina!) She meticulously explains how she arrives at the ‘right shape’ for you and provides a completely pain-​free process. She even provided some helpful hints for my dry skin patches and uneven skin tone.
I will happily visit her again for my next brow wax, will probably save my pennies and visit her for a facial, and I highly recommend her for all of your facial and waxing needs!

Tina is amazing. She trained with the famous Anastasia, and brings my completely recalcitrant brows into humble submission. In addition to being a total pro, she’s great to chat with and the salon space is super relaxing.
And also? Online booking!

My Mediterranean heritage is kicking in and it is only a matter of time before my brows fully resemble those of Thufir Hawat from «Dune.» As a man, nothing terrifies me more-​aside from my impending heritage look-​than to let an aesthetician turn my brows into a «perfect» arch that would look great on a drag queen or any male cast member from «The Jersey Shore.» Thank everyone’s gods for Tina and her waxing prowess. My first appointment included a consultation, and the wax treatment was very relaxing. In a matter of minutes, my brows went from «oh dear god» to «oh my god!» I would send anyone I know to Tina for brow waxing, especially any guy that wants brows that look natural – though I suspect she could turn. it. out. for Boy George.

Tina is the best brow waxer in town. She spent time showing me where my brows should be so that they look great, and then went to work. I immediately started getting compliments on my eyebrows! Plus, she’s super fun to chat with, always up to something new and cool.

I started going to Tina when she was still waxing for Anastasia at Nordstrom. I had been getting my brows down at the downtown store before going to Northgate out of convenience. I fell in love with Tina’s wax immediately. Granted she had the same fundamentals as all the Anastasia waxers but Tina has that extra special gift… my brows were picture perfect!
I followed Tina when she opened PowerSpa. I would drive from Mountlake Terrace to Ballard… she’s that good. Wait, I fly from Hawaii to Seattle to get my brows done… she’s seriously that good.
Tina has fabulous brows her self… that’s my number one criteria. If the waxer has fugly brows… RUN. Not Tina.
Her facials are also awesome.
Whenever someone in the Seattle area asks for a brow wax recommendation… I ALWAYS send them to Tina :)

My relationship with Tina was unintentionally on the outs for a while there and it was showing. My brows were a mess– it’s had been far too long since our last tryst. All it took was a phone call, a trip to a familiar part of town, and I was ensconced in Tina’s lair. She made quick work of the brows– now they look as perfect as they can possibly get– gentle arch, perfectly symmetrical, just full enough without being bushy. My new work commute and odd schedule has made it challenging to get to Ballard, but Tina’s skills are so worth it. Getting my brows done at other places has really driven this point home for me. Everyone feels hotter after a visit to Tina! Just ask practically every woman in my circle of friends. Tina, I missed you! Will you take me back baby?

Thanks to a certain group coupon deal I was able to get a Brazilian for almost half the normal price. Tina was thorough and quick and just chatty enough to distract me from something I am definitely not used to doing. Five stars for her service and the strange but wonderful midcentury office building.
Her prices are just a little more than I want to pay regularly, and I think I may enjoy the lower temperatures involved in sugaring. But if I ever decide to try eyebrow-​shaping, she’s the first one I’ll go to.

It’s a good thing Tina doesn’t work for some kind of cult, because she will make you a convert in no time!
Her expertise at brow-​waxing is unparalleled. She’s been trained at Anastasia (the other brow experts!) and spends time talking with you about what you want. No pressure. No obnoxious up-​sale. Just a great, complementary-​to-​your-​features brow wax. Oh, and she does a mean upper-​lip wax for those of us unfortunate enough to need one!
The spa is relaxing, spotless and comfortable… and Tina is a bit zen herself. She’ll not scold you if you let your eyebrows grow into hairy caterpillars because you don’t come in regularly. :)
After my terrible experiences other places (the «sperm-​shaped» eyebrow waxing incident of 2005 comes to mind), this is the only place for me. Safe, affordable, and Tina is just an all-​around fun and professional person that I look forward to seeing!
