Came here to see Girragge, 3 shots of crown for 26 $ Yeah… i don’t think so. Good thing there was re-entry, we just walked around cap hill for cheaper drinks and came back and enjoyed the show. Venue was small, bathrooms are single stalls and only 2 upstairs, not sure about downstairs.

I came here for the third time last week. This time it was to see Sage Francis, The Metermaids and Sadistik. The show was great! The venue, however is not what made it great. They have inexpensive beer and lots of room. At one point, though, I became SO hot on the lower floor, I felt like I was going to pass out! I had to escape to the upstairs. All in all, this is an ok place to see bands. It’s not my first choice but it’s not my last either.

I’ve never booked a party here but I can tell you that these people have NO idea how to treat concert VIPs either!!! My husband and I bought VIP passes to see Gary Numan on Halloween. First, we kept getting email telling us to be there earlier and earlier in the afternoon. We arrived as instructed at 3:45(the show started at 8:00 pm!!) only to wait in line outside(thank god it wasn’t raining) for an hour. When we were finally let it, it was another half hour before they got their s*** together and gave us a space to do the meet and greet. No water, no food during this whole wait. We found out later from Gary’s road manager that they were pissed because Neumos’s pushed the whole thing including the sound check back an hour on them. So the delay wasn’t the band’s doing. Then after the meet and greet and sound check, we had an hour so we went and had dinner. After dinner we went back to the door expecting to be let in(we’d been ID’d and given lanyards two hours earlier after all!) ONLY to be told to go wait in the ticket holder line. NOTEVENTHEFRONTOFTHELINE!!! We paid four times as much for our tickets and had to go stand in the back of the general admission line like everyone else! Again, we heard the road manager bitching out the door guys because the band was told VIPs had special access. So my warning is to anyone who purchases VIP tickets to a show at Neumo’s — expect to be treated like shit by the venue staff. And to any artists planning to book a show at Neumo’s be aware they are full of s*** and will feed you a line — don’t trust these jackasses. They are the worst staff of any venue I’ve ever been at!

I had a similar experience with another contact than listed in the other review, even with months of notice, nothing was set up or ready when we arrived and everything pretty much was left to us to handle. Lucky for me I have rad friends who stayed and set up while I went and ate and drank When we got back,.their security are ridiculous… it was winter and I’m in a ‘next to nothing it’s my birthday outfit’ and they refused to let me stand inside the door while my hubby grabbed my purse with my ID in it– oh, did I mention, I’m over 40 and had been in two hours prior to coming back AND three times that week to look at the space/menu etc. We were about to get the party started when we quickly realized that the DJ booth was lacking half the equipment promised and we had to run out and get that as well… then as the evening went on, the bartender was nice enough but to add to my love of the door folk, the bouncer assigned to the room was bitchy and ineffective at keeping others out of my party but too became WAY too effective when deciding to physically throw two of my guests out the front door. Oh, like the other reviewer hey also hassled me at the end of the night about the bill, so Happy Birthday to me, eh? I would avoid it and would have given 0 stars if I could.

I wanted a place to throw a double birthday party for me and my friend Chris that would accomodate at least 30 – 50 people. I found this place, and decided to go for it. I made an appointment to look over the room with Suthap, and when I showed up he was impatient and unfriendly. I decided to take it, took the reservation form, and left. I faxed it in the next day. I called later to check on the reservation and they said it was in the computer but they didn’t have my reservation form. I re-faxed it and didn’t hear anything back. I called to check on the reservation 2 more times prior to the event and to ask some questions, and was told everything was set. We showed up as planned to set up the room before dinner and all the furniture was locked up in a closet. Suthap was there and seemed annoyed to have anything to do with us. He begrudingly helped us get the furniture out of the closet, for which I thanked him profusely, hoping to get rid of his sour attitude. it didn’t really work. We told him we would be back to start the party at 8:00 as planned, and he aknowledged it with a grunt. He is the one I set the reservation up with, so I assumed everthing was fine like he said. We came back from dinner and the bartender still hadn’t set up anything. Guests were arriving and the bartender didn’t show up until 8:15 and wasn’t set up until 8:30 — 8:45. He was nice and apologized, he said he was told to be there at 8:00. The management and organization of this venue is very unprofessional, unorganized, and unaccommodating. We ended up not quite meeting the alcohol minimum of $ 500, so I had to pay a little bit at the end. No discount for the bartender being set up 45 minutes late though. Maybe I should have bitched about it. But I didn’t. It was my birthday and I just wanted to have fun. Which I did. But the venue was a little disappointing.
