History

Established in 1995.

We first went to Spain on a whim in 1985 and fell in love with its food and wine. When we returned, we found it difficult to find authentic ingredients to make tapas or cook paella.

In 1995, I retired from the Federal Government and established The Spanish Table in Seattle. Later, we opened stores in Santa Fe, NM; Berkeley, CA and Mill Valley, CA.

I work in the Seattle store with my wife Sharon who now manages the wine department.

We are constantly searching for foreign flavors that will enliven your home cooking. Recently, that search has taken us beyond the Iberian Peninsula to North Africa, the Middle East and South America.

You only live once; live well!

Business Owner

Sharon and I were both born and raised in the Seattle area and graduated from the University of Washington. We love traveling, eating and tasting wine which makes working at The Spanish Table feel like more of a hobby than a business.
