If you like tea. especially loose leaf tea. this is an excellent place to stop when in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Their signature tea, the cinnamon orange blend, is very good and reminds me of the sweet and spicy tea from Good Earth. The shop is a tight fit when crowded, which is probably always. Be careful if you have a backpack on or large bags, it’s easy to knock stuff(or people) as you squeeze through. I could have spend quite a bit of time there smelling all the different blends of tea. If you have a craving for something specific, talk to one of the staffers. If you tell them what kind of taste profile you’re looking for, they will make excellent suggestions.(BTW, if you guys ever make the caramel-crème flavor I suggested, I’d love to know so I can order some.) One last thing. since I was in Seattle for a very short work visit, I didn’t have a lot of suitcase space for everything I would have liked to have purchased. Next door there is a shop that sells honey. I picked up some of those honey straws, which were perfect for allowing me to have a touch of honey with my cinnamon orange tea in the hotel room.

This is a neat place. Amazing house tea, the aroma of which drew me in as they had some steeped and ready for sampling in the store. Bought a box and can’t wait to try it in oatmeal as the recipe hanging up nearby suggested. My fiancé loves coffee and the girl working helped him pick out some to grind and take home.

This place was great! Got a few things there. Especially loved the grounded rosemary, best way to add in tons of flavor easily.

If you are looking for tea, this is the right place! They have everything from every country! I love their black green tea and a rose tea but can’t remember the name. The workers are very friendly and will give you suggestions if you are buying tea for someone. They will let you smell, feel and taste! I love how you can also decide the amount, ½ a pound of 4 pounds, it’s up to you.

Good place to get tea! I came here to get some chamomile for my dad and it was so cheap! Plus, the sample that they gave was also great.

Came here on vacation and was blown away by their selection of tea, coffee and spices. It was a giant candy store to me. The workers are super helpful and prices are reasonable. Can’t wait till I come back to visit this place.

Love the selection of teas, and most of the loose leaf was great, a few was questionable as it seem to have a lot of artificial ingredients. The space is small and cramp and there were lots of people in there. Hopefully during my next visit I will be able to see the rest of it.

My favorite teas there so far: — Emerald Surprise — Earl Gray Emerald Surprise is a green tea with pineapple, and is DELICIOUS with a teaspoon or so of coconut oil in it. Service is always great there – functionally great, anyhow. Some of their employees aren’t particularly warm, but I suppose that’s not a requirement, but definitely a perk. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the store is SO cramped. It’s a little difficult to navigate with a backpack or purse/satchel. I get its a small space, but either have less product. Or figure out a way to utilize a little more vertical space to allow for more floor/navigation space. I keep a solid stash of MarketSpice teas in my desk at work at all times. I basically thrive on their product Monday — Friday.

A treasure trove in the Pike Place market! They have a little tea tasting station in the back, which is fabulous on a cold day. When we visited, they had hot apple cider and their signature cinnamon-orange tea available for sampling. Both were delicious, and needless to say, we bought both! Definitely stop by here if you are looking for gifts to take home for tea-loving friends! A 24 pack of tea bags is between $ 9 – 10, which is reasonable for a high traffic place like Pike Place, but if you are looking for a deal, try purchasing their teas online — either through their own online store or through Amazon(both offered cheaper options for their signature cinnamon-orange tea)!

This is one of my favorite shops in Seattle. Even though its often busy and nestled inside the hustle and bustle of Pike Place, it is both cozy and fascinating. I’ve recently become quite interested in tea, and this seems like THE spot for buying loose leaf tea. They easily have 100 varieties of tea on their wall, all ready for you to peruse and sniff at your leisure. If you’re overwhelmed(like I was), their workers are happy to help you find a few selections based on your taste preferences. They also have every tea accessory you could imagine, from kettles to cups to infusers. In addition to teas, they also stock tons of spice mixes. They’re not cheap but they’re high quality and often salt-free, so you’re getting good value for the money. They have all kinds of interesting and unique spice mixtures from all kinds of cuisines. A small portion of a seasoning in a fancy glass shaker would make a great gift for any gourmand you know. In my opinion, MarketSpice is a must-see stop in Pike Place for both locals and travelers alike.

If you’re really into spices, fresh and large varieties of coffees, and teas, you HAVE to come here. I wanted to get my dad some coffee here, but I’m not nearly a coffee snob, and didn’t know how to narrow down the 30+ types of coffee beans they had there. There’s a whole range of spices you can get by the bag. And the variety of teas are just phenomenal. They offer samples of their signature tea, their orange-cinnamon tea. It’s pure perfection. I ended up buying a bunch of boxes of the tea bags. It’s a perfect citrus, sweetness, with the kick of cinnamon. It is a caffeinated black tea, though… Although they do have a decaf version. Thank God they sell it online, even if I have to pay for shipping. That’s how good the tea is!

This little store is great. It is in pikes market tucked away in a corner and it is behind where the guys are throwing fish. I went in looking for some spices and it wasn’t too crowded so the employees were giving me recommendations on what to try and buy. I ended up getting some Za’taar, Berbere and truffle salt. All the prices seemed reasonable usually a couple dollars for an hour depending on spice you were buying and the customer service here is on spot. I wish I had this little gem back home so I could get hard to find spices.

This store is a must go-to if you’re in the Pike Place area. Not only is it an old gem, but the products are either grade A fancy or inexpensively useful. The tea wall features handwritten drawings on large gourd-like jars filled to the brim with every type of tea imaginable. The prices are fair and the store just smells amazing. Every day they have a new spice they’re advertising where you get 10% off that specific one. It’s a cute little store with great service and some history, too. After you watch them throw the fish, pop your head in here.

I absolutely love this shop. It is like a little hidden gem here. Most people are looking at salmon getting tossed up and down but miss seeing this store. It is tucked behind the fish shop. Inside, they have this sample area where they offer you to try their orange and cinnamon tea. It tastes like it was sweetened but in reality, it is the natural spices that gives off the sweet flavor. You can buy an assortment of teas and spices for a pretty reasonable price. This shop is much cheaper than a store like Teavanna(rip off store). You don’t have to buy a minimum oz. amount and can buy all kinds of teas like rooibus, strawberry, chai, and etc. I highly recommend that you stop by here and buy our tourist merchandise at this shop. They have great souvenirs!

I live in Seattle so I usually don’t go down to Pike Place Market unless I have a friend or relative visiting from out of town. Don’t get me wrong, I love the market. But it can be a bit crowded and expensive for a local to visit too frequently. However, I will make an exception for MarketSpice. You must understand that my girlfriend and I drink far too much tea. Last time I was in I bought almost a full pound. And that’s just on a run of the mill visit. But the reason we drink so much tea is because the Earl Grey Cream tea at MarketSpice is heavenly. We drink it at breakfast, lunch, and then have it as a post dinner warm-up. I sent some to a friend in San Francisco and she traveled up to Seattle to buy a pound on her own. That’s how good it is. We also love to visit MarketSpice for their spices(duh) which are much more reasonably priced than in the store. $ 0.74 to fill up our Coriander jar? What a deal! And as people who don’t drink coffee, we have an unnatural attraction to the Hazelnut Coffee beans sold in bulk. I could become a coffee addict off that stuff alone. So please, don’t just settle for the MarketSpice orange tea that they give away to a million visitors. Explore. Smell. Open all of the jars. Branch out a little bit. And definitely buy the Earl Grey Cream!!!

How many MarketSpice does it take to screw in a lightbulb? 4. We were introduced to MarketSpice(I will never get used to there being no space there) through our walking food tour. We had a nice sample of tea, and ended up coming back here to try to find some tea to bring back home. Oo-de-lolly. Being in here on a weekend is like… being in a very crowded place that smells like tea… that was a poor analogy. But yes, it was crowded and cramped and almost overwhelming in its scent. And guess what?(I don’t know why I’m making you guess I might as well just tell you. This isn’t a game, people) We didn’t buy any tea from here. We got MarketSpice tea, but we got it cheaper elsewhere and from less hectic stores. Thanks MarketSpice. Oooh, there isn’t a space in MarketSpice because there isn’t space in MarketSpice. I get it. I get it.

The orange cinnamon tea is to die for. When you try it in the store it’s not as flavorful as if you were to increase the tea to water ratio at home. Somehow it’s subtly sweet without any unnatural flavors, super orangey(which I love) and deliciously cinnamony without being overpowering. I bought the biggest jar they had and lugged it home just in time for afternoon tea. They have a wide array of different teas ranging from spicy to sweet and tons of spices that are super affordable. Don’t shop anywhere else, Market Spice has it all. Sip, sip, so good!

This place is magical if you love tea! They have crazy amount of teas and tea accessories. Everything you could need to have the perfect tea party! My favorite is their Original Market Spice! Cinnamon orange yumminess in a cup! This is a great gateway tea! They also have a great amount of loose spices. For when you need a random spice or only need a small amount and don’t want to buy a whole bottle. Also carry coffee beans. The staff has always been beyond helpful! Gave great advice and helped me find a good tea for my daughter. And helped me get everything I needed to brew loose tea. The tea and spices are priced great! The other items can be found cheaper. I will continue to come here for all my tea and spice need!
