The Beer Junction

This place just gets better and better. I remember coming here a year or so ago before it was discovered and it was good, but not as top notch as it is now. Situated in the middle of California Ave just south of Oregon Ave there’s street parking and some parking just behind the business so circle the block to find it.
I walked in just after work around 5pm and it has a bristling business and on many occasions there’s a tasting event happening. The beer selection is massive and I just end up asking what’s the best and I end up getting the best. You can also do flights of beer and have some tastes of many of the to find the one that’s right for you taste. They also have a neat ability to can any of there beers in a large can and spike it with some nitrogen.
On each time I’ve been here it’s easy to start a conversation with others at the bar area and you can really meet people while enjoying a beer or you can sit and stare at your smart phone too.
The Beer Junction is so discovered now, that you need to be careful about timing your visit as you may find there’s nothing but standing room because, well it’s discovered.

One of the best beer shops in Seattle. Great beer selection, knowledgable staff. Bring in outside food and hang-​out. They need more tables! But it’s kinda fun keeping it small and cozy.

Man! I wish I had seen this place earlier. I am in town for vacation and wanted to buy a few local beers for friends back home. I saw this place and thought it was a bar. Upon further examination, coolers full of beer, categorized by style told me otherwise. We popped in for a look. Knowing only style and not familiar with local brands, i asked a young man working the room. I wish I had gotten his name Because he… was…awesome! I told him my problem. All he asked was what style my friends liked, and proceeded to weave a true tale of beer majesty. This has hints of this, is made with this, aged in 50 yr old barrels is a limited run. He had the sale. Very knowledgeable and even more important… showed an excitement for and love of the beer he was selling. I highly recommend this place.

Best beer in the neighborhood. You can walk here and enjoy a cool one.

Tons of bottle/​can options. A spectacular tap list and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. My only issue with this place is that I usually spend way more money than I intend to when I stop by.

Love the beer here! The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I would want is an outdoor patio so we can bring our dog.

Beer, beer, beer, beer, beer! I love beer so much. Whenever I can find a kick ass bottle shop I fall in love with beer all over again. The Beer Junction has everything a beer lover desires: beer on tap, bottled beer, and beer geeks.
The selection here is on point. Bottled and tapped. Not only beer either. There is cider and mead for the non beer shortys. If you are confused or overwhelmed the staff is more than happy to steer you in the right direction. They have always been super helpful with me. Like that one time I was more concerned with cool looking bottle tops rather than beer since I needed the tops to decorate my wedding parties’ boutonnieres. The person helping me was not phased when I asked him to point me in the direction of any and all neat bottle tops.
There are plenty of tasting nights if you want to drink a couple of different beers from a particular brewery or to strick up a conversation with folks that work there.
This is beer heaven!

I have seen a lot of beer places in a lot of cities. This is one of the best. You can get growlers, individual beers, plus they have over 60 beers on tap. You can get flights — a four-​taster, a five-​taster, or an eight-​glass taster. Most pours you can get in two sizes and many in pitchers. The range is great — ciders and pale ales and IPAs and red ales and Belgians and stouts and barrel aged and sours. It’s so beautiful. Comfortable space — nicely lit and pretty wood everywhere. Very nice staff.

Best bottle shop in Seattle in my opinion,
Pros: over 1000 beers, lots of single 12oz beer choices, around 50 beers on tap.
Cons: busy on Friday and Saturday nights, not a lot of seating/​standing room, tap quality has dropped a little in the last year

This is one of the greatest beer shops in existence! I’m in Seattle and need to get my Washington craft beer fix. go for a visit in West Seattle. It was suggested that I take a trip to the Beer Junction.
You walk into this unassuming store front, and there’s a few tables to the right, a bar with at least a dozen taps, and refrigerators lining each side from front to back of the store. They even turn off the lights in certain fridges to better preserve the beer!
At this point I’m overwhelmed, and just want some one to help me pick out Seattle specific craft beers. It’s Brian to the rescue! I tell him what I’m looking for, and he just starts grabbing beer after beer from various parts of the store. The dude is super knowledgable, and friendly.
The cherry on top is the pricing. I was super surprised to find some less commonly distributed beers for significantly lower prices than back home in Phoenix, or out in Colorado.
If you’re ever need a beer shop in Seattle you have to go to The Beer Junction.

4 stars only because it needs more seating.
They have a great selection of on tap rotationals, from all over for drinking inside. And same goes for the beer for carry out.
You are welcome to bring in whatever you want for food and there are tons of choices in the neighborhood.
All around its a pretty cool place to stop in for a beer to drink now while doing your Farmer’s market shopping.

What is there to say about the B-​Junction that hasn’t already been said? This place is, to put it simply, perfect. They do one thing and they do it well: beer. Okay, yes, they have cider too but seriously… this is a beer junkie’s paradise. What’s your favorite brewed poison? If they don’t have it on tap, they’ll have it in a bottle. And the service is fast and friendly, too. Get a seat by the window and people-​watch. It’s great!

Today was my tenth visit to The Beer Junction, give or take. If you think about the most important traits of an amazing beer establishment, smack at the top of the list would be interesting beers. My visit today was during their 4^th annual Pumpkin Junction event. Twenty four. .. count ‘em, TWENTY FOUR pumpkin beers on tap, from all over the United States. My flight of beers today included five of the most impressive gourd brews that I have sampled this season.
The next thing you would hope for would be a knowledgeable, friendly staff, who would not only suggest beers, but give you the sense that they truly love what they do, as well as the beers that they serve. This has come across in every interaction that I have had at The Beer Junction.
And finally, a fun atmosphere, where fellow quaffers share good times, enjoying our favorite beverage in a wonderful place, resulting in an enhanced experience. This, for me, is? You guessed it, The Beer Junction. It’s the kind of place that you look for excuses to visit, even if it’s 100 miles from your home, as it is for me.

Man, I love the Beer Junction. If you’re into craft beer in any capacity, this is your place. Their tap selection is always on point, with a diverse array of constantly rotating styles and breweries on display. If you’re overwhelmed, don’t shy away from asking for a recommendation – the staff is extremely knowledgeable, and I’ve never been let down. Definitely seize the opportunity to make your own flight sometime to maximize the number of options you can taste. The only downside is that seating can be kind of hard to get (it’s a popular place!), but in the worst case you can take your beer to the tables near the bottle fridges and sip while standing.
Oh right, the bottle fridges. The other 50% of why this place is so awesome. The Beer Junction houses a massive, well-​curated assortment of bottles. The fridges are separated by style (but there are ~3 fridges devoted to Belgians, hell yeah!) to make things a little easier to hunt for. Prices are really, really good – think QFC prices, but with a lot more beer to choose from. And once again, recommendations have never disappointed. For instance, the last time I was here, I had a hankering for some rauchbier. I asked the staff member at the counter for his recommendation, and he strode purposefully to grab me a specific bottle that he vouched for strongly. Sure enough, it was the best rauchbier I’d ever had.
I live on Capitol Hill and drive to West Seattle every couple of months to come here and stock up for my bottle collection at home. Where else can I sip on delicious brews while bottle shopping? It’s worth it.

When we bought our house in West Seattle, I said to my husband, «yes! Now we’re walking distance from Beer Junction»!
This place has really got the craft beer experience down. Everyone there is knowledgable about the beers, ciders, meads, sours, etc. they serve on tap and in cans and bottles. Sometimes, as a woman, I experience the patronizing snobbery of the craft beer brethren — however I have never had that problem here (especially since one of the most knowledgable front line staff is a woman herself).
I highly recommend taking advantage of the various build-​your-​own flight options and going to the frequent special events to try a wide variety of beers and ciders. Also, if you’re feeling peckish, you can order food from area restaurants through the bar staff, and it will be delivered to your table. I dearly love eating nachos or taquitos from Pecado Bueno whilst enjoying good beer and good company. Cheers!

Worth visiting if one happens to be in the neighborhood.
One can bring in food.
SERVICE: 3.0. Several servers at bar. Despite the crowd, the wait at the line was short.
BEER: 4.0. Good selection on tap. My wife had an excellent pilsner and I had a summer wheat beer. Both were non-​hoppy good.
AMBIANCE: 3.5. We were able to sit at chairs along a wall shelf. The maps on the wall made for good conversation.

Truly heaven on earth, well heaven if you’re into a huge selection of amazing craft beer. I was lucky enough to happen upon the joint during Belgian Beer week, obviously meant to be. Not only is there a broad selection on tap, I believe they had 30 something beer coolers filled with stuff I’ve seen, being the connoisseur I am, but also stuff I hadn’t seen. Was lucky enough to come across a bottle of Mephistopheles, which I’d only ever had on tap a couple years ago at The Noble Fir. Seriously worth the drive for me to come here on a weekend, that’s how great it is!
