Taqueria El Mezon

Did take-​out of al pastor tacos and a carne asada burrito. It was okay, but seemed like it was missing something. Their salsa was excellent though! I even saved it for the next day. I also enjoyed their bar of radishes, onions, and jalapenos and salsa!

Came here for the first time and left satisfied. I ordered the carne asada medium rare and they got it right! The service is good and place is clean.

Tried the take out and it was pretty good. Nothing mind-​blowing, but very reasonable pricing and fast & friendly service. I tried the camarones al la diablo and a burrito plate. Both were good.

Just goes to show u don’t have to spend allot to get killer food… steak Ranchero was awesome!

I’m quickly discovering all of the great food options in WC and this place is no different! Like some others mention the CA is amazing! Great prices too! Definitely will be back

Good standard Mexican, very fast service, good price, tasty! I got the cheese enchiladas as per usual and they gave me a ton of food! It was just what I needed on a stupid hot Sunday.

Stopped by with the 87yo for something new. Was deeply impressed with the salsa and the 87yo even morweso with the zesty guacamole. The guac gave her about two stealth bites and lite her up with serious spice.
I enjoy thai 3 – 4 star food, and the salsa was notably lively.
The balance of the meal was far more gently spiced, and quite good. A tad heavy on the veggie end where I’m more focused on the meat and bean offerings. That said, the family environment is amazing — run by a multi-​generational family the place is filled with warmth, generosity, friendliness and love.
I’m up to go back and see if there are other, less veggie-​filled, options that will suit my palate better.

Good food and fast service! The food is served quickly and is super good. I especially like the complimentary chips and salsa… Nice and fresh.
I had the spicy pork tacos and it was spiced perfectly.
The rice and beans also cooked to perfection.
There are quite a few Mexican food trucks and restaurants in the area and this one I feel is the best!

New place in the hood has the best got darn fried pork tacos on the planet I’m seriously astounded at how good they are. I come here 3x a week it’s bomb AF

Carne asada is yummy! Great tacos and burritos! My kids like the «super» nacho and chimichangas and enchiladas! Great food, nice place and wonderful service! A family favorite :)

This place has awesome mexican food, the prices are very reasonable. The owner and his wife are very nice and friendly people. You will not regret eating here lots of good stuff.

I rarely ever leave reviews but this place is solid, delicious and cheap. I went here instead of la fomdita due to the weather and was not disappointed. The salsa bar is a nice addition. I had the carne Asada plate and I’m excited to try more of the menu

Azada tacos are solid, service was friendly and quick. I wasn’t crazy about the flavor of the Adobada tacos, but there is plenty more on the menu to try. I’ll be back since I have only scratched the surface thus far!
El Mezon has only been open a few months, and they have potential. I already like them better than the taco truck that is 50 yards away.

We had carne asada tacos and chicken sopitos. Delicious and cheap… just as we hoped.

Carne Asada fries are on point! So yummy! The steak was flavorful. The roasted jalapeño gave it a nice kick. Next time I’ll ask for extra guacamole and hold the lettuce.

The last thing that White Center needs is another Taqueria. Also the amount of filth in the street and general upkeep makes me nervous to stop here. However, Zippy’s and other solid establishments have proven“If you build it, they will come.
El Mezon has an inviting storefront and the limited menu shows variety. I have to admit the item that most inticed me here was the biggest let down. They have a 6 item Salsa Bar and only one of the items was worth the journey. I tried 4 items. One salsa talked like V-​8 juice, another like Vinegar and once was pure heat without flavor. The last of the 4 I sampled was so amazing. It was fresh and bursting with flavor and had my eyes in the back of my head.
I had the taco plate and tried Chicken, Carnitas and Chorizo. All three were good, but that was hands down the best Chorizo and Chicken taco’s I’ve ever tasted.
Everyone here was so happy to be eating here and the items on other peoples tables actually looked better than the pictures represented on the wall. I have family just north in Seattle, so I can see making this a staple in that commute and I will certainly be bringing friends here to expose them to authentic Mexican flavor.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! this restaurant is the only place that i know of in seattle that will make CA style carne asada fries!!! im from california and id like to think i know mexican food. this place is pretty authentic to CA mexican food. complimentary chips and salsa, great salsa bar, free refills on horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo! im so happy i found this place! order the carne asada fries!!! you wont be disappointed!

This place is awesome. Food is cheap and delicious. We usually go to taqueria la fondita just around the corner, one day we stopped here instead. We’re glad we did!
Food is cooked to order so it’s a little slower than some places, but it’s well worth the short wait. They don’t skimp on the carnitas in the tacos, for only $ 1 each it’s a great deal.
This is now our favorite taco place!

If you want the best mexican food ever come here. Such a good price for everything and the people here are so kind and sweet! And if your crazy about seeing the food being cooked then it’s the right place for you because you can see the cooks getting down to business.
