Taco Del Mar

I used to love this place when I was in college because you got a day’s worth of food for less than $ 5. But now that I have more than $ 5 in my wallet, I’m not as much a fan. It’s not bad, it just… college food.

I’ll admit I was never a big fan of this place.
I didn’t really fall for the «OH god it’s so huge and only bladeblah dollah’s» trend in food.
The food itself is what it is is. Fast food style filler food.
This location ws oddly shaped, and there were fans set oddly all over. And they were filthy. You know how fan blades collect dust over time? These mama-jamma’s were BLACK they were so dirty.
Having that blow at you while trying to chat and eat is not pleasant.
The employees didn’t seemed to horribly thrilled to be there, or horribly clean themselves. I think they work there because the one free meal they get satisfies their munchies that hit every day around.4:20 pm.
One star for giving five star company a filler review to reach his 200^th.

This place used to be one of the best, but lately they have been messing up my orders. My recommendation; go here (because the food is good) but watch them make it.

I am a huge fan of TDM. I prefer it to a lot of other Mexican restaurants. But this one is so sub par! The workers, I swear on my mothers name, have to be stoned! All they do it stare at you blankly until you order.
One time, I ordered something and asked for hot and white sauce. The worker stopped making my food, looked up, and with a tone straight out of Spicoli’s mouth he says, «Ugh, really?»
Total waste of time.

I really wouldn’t know, but, man, did you completely f*ck my order up or what?!? The pooch was, indeed, screwed on this one.
First of all, you failed to make it at all, then you made it wrong, then you forgot part of my order.
I know your job is monotonous and unstimulating, but lay off the weed. Or smoke some weed. SOMETHING!

Taco Del Mar food generally tastes pretty bland to me. This particular branch is no exception to that, unfortunately. On a positive note, food here is generally cheap and plentiful. This particular Taco Del Mar is really tiny and seating is rare commodity, though if the weather is nice, they have tables outside.

You aren’t really supposed to look at this as authentic Mexican food. Just enjoy it for what it is — fresh ingredients and tasty fish wrapped up in a tortilla. It’s hard to find parking here unless you park in the Dick’s lot and cross the street and I’ve always gotten my food to go, but it’s worth it.
