We are a full service bookkeeping and accounting firm in Seattle, WA and we love working with small businesses and high performance entrepreneurs. Serving clients as small as 1 person, up to companies with 10MM+ in revenue and 50 employees, we are a small team of 14 professionals with decades of combined bookkeeping, accounting, technology, and business experience. We are not a one person bookkeeper or a one-​size fits all solution.

The majority of our clients outsource some or all of their ongoing weekly or monthly bookkeeping and accounting, where we take responsibility for QuickBooks Desktop or Online, data entry, bill pay, reconciliations, payroll, state and city taxes, and strategic reporting.

As the Founder, my daily priorities are to lead and support our team as we collectively do our best to serve and support our clients bookkeeping and accounting needs.

Our company’s first core value is, «Our Client’s Success is Our Success» and I consider it a privilege that we can play our supporting roles in serving our clients.

Bookkeeping and accounting (and related technologies) are critical functions for our small business clients (many who are highly creative entrepreneurs and own professional service companies) and I enjoy helping to keep our team focused, supported, and inspired as we all do our best to deliver excellence for our clients each week.

I can’t begin to describe how thankful I am to have System Six as our strategic bookkeeper. The fine individuals at System Six, from the owner Jeremy to the Director of Accounting and Client Care Gina to my personal bookkeeper Brooks, have literally saved my business from falling into operational ruins.
Background: We brought on a freelance contractor to handle our books in 2014, and the job was just too much for this individual. Most of our payroll taxes were filed incorrectly, and there was no easy way for a non-​expert to figure out how to solve that mess. Additionally, when we let the bookkeeper go, we had no one left to process payroll and handle invoicing, which put us in a bind with our clients, vendors, and employees.
Jeremy met w/​me and described how System Six works with its clients. They are EXPERTS in their field and work to streamline and automate your end-​to-​end accounting /​payroll operations. They take on the entire setup, and effectively act as (very affordable) consultants until your accounting operations are running like a well-​oiled machine. Then, they handle all ongoing issues and even have the expertise to answer your questions and take on new issues as they arise.
If you’re thinking about going the cheap route with a freelancer, all I can tell you is that it is likely to hurt you in the long-​term like it did me. I would pay for this expertise without hesitation given the pricing is so fair for the value.

Tom & Jeremy have been extremely helpful. I can’t recommend them enough.
They make time for meetings and questions when they come up. They’re easily accessible and knowledgable.

I struggled trying to find someone to help me with the numbers when I started my business. I went through several people who just didn’t understand what I needed and then I found System Six. System Six has been helping me for a few years now. I wanted to do my own bookkeeping but didn’t really know how. Jeremy spent hours with me in online meetings where he could watch my computer screen and take over if I needed him to teaching me how to do everything I needed in Quickbooks. He completely set me up with all the correct stuff for my company file and taught me how to do everything I need. Now I only need to call them when I run into an issue and they always get me straightened right out. I call less and less because they have taught me so much over the last few years but someday my business will be successful enough that I can let them take over all the bookkeeping and not have to do it anymore at all! I had a small to mid-​sized restaurant I was brought in on to consult with for business purposes. When I arrived, I found the restaurant’s books were a disaster, back taxes were owed, and financially the restaurant was on life support. I called in Jeremy and System Six to see if there was a chance to salvage the business for the owner.
System Six worked with the different tax agencies and vendors to assess the damage done, used technology to recover company financial data that was previous thought lost, and analyzed the financial situation to understand the best turnaround options. They worked closely with the owner to understand his goals during the process, and kept an extremely professional and positive outlook as they helped the business climb out of dire circumstances and into stability.

I wanted to update my review now that we have been working with System Six for a over 4 months. I have been very happy with their business. They have revamped our whole accounting system into practices that are accurate and dependable. In addition they have been working with me to be creative with how we manage our books.
The best part about working with SystemSix is that they are constantly staying ahead of the times in technology. I just recently had a baby and want to be able to work from home as much as possible. They have made it so I don’t need to go into the office to look over our books, we have phone appts. in my home and I am able to view our books via cloud technology. I love that I am able to do my job well, on the go, in my home and spend as little time as possible in the office. A lot of my job revolves around being with people, System Six has helped to lighten my load of detail work so I can actually do my job rather than sitting in front of a computer trying to make sense of budgets and numbers. Who knew having someone do your books in a different state would be so successful!

I run a small online business and started using System Six for our bookkeeping about a month ago. We don’t have a lot bills and so I didn’t think we needed to outsource our bookkeeping — I figured we would be fine by doing it in-​house. I somewhat skeptically went with System Six, but have been incredibly glad we did so. Other reviews have mentioned the consistency, accuracy and so on of System Six which is true and useful, but for our company the real sweet spot is the analysis and strategy behind the bookkeeping. Jeremy and his team have used the numbers to really help identify pain points in our company.
For example, our numbers show that we have a high amount of tech support being done by project managers, who are rather expensive to hire. By hiring cheaper dedicated tech support, we can free up our more expensive project managers to do more skilled roles and take on more clients with less labor cost. Sure, we could have hired a CPA to do our books but the strategic bookkeeping and analysis that System Six provided was a gamechanger.
