Surplus Too Army Navy

Terrible customer service.
They checked all the items I had in my hands and followed me around as I shopped. Totally rude. Like i would steal their $ 8 hats. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and opted to wait outside in the rain while my boyfriend finished shopping.
Don’t shop here unless you don’t mind being followed and harassed as you browse.

I had a big camping trip coming up, so I stopped by Surplus Too.
The minute you walk in, the employees are pushy. You need to leave your bag at the front counter. They’re not content to let you browse. Get off me, man. I’m shopping!
The quality of the items here seemed suspect. I sincerely doubt this stuff is actual army surplus.
I found better selection and better prices at Outdoor Emporium nearby on 4^th Ave.

My husband bought me a jacket here and it did not fit properly. We knew about their no returns policy, so he took it back for an exchange.
The man at the register told him that, even though the tag was still on the jacket, they don’t accept exchanges on «used» items (ie items *they* bought used). He then suggested that My husband should «make me wear it». Horrible customer service. They have lost two customers who have shopped there for years.

While this store has a very good inventory of Carhart items, most of their military «surplus» items are just knockoffs. The few legitimate items they have are in terrible shape.
However, the real problem is the total lack of any sense of customer service on the part of the owners. My teenage daughter has recently started flying and has ambitions of flying in the Navy. I purchased a knockoff B15 jacket here for $ 60 as a surprise for her. Unfortunately, even in a Small it was a bit too big.
I attempted to exchange it two days later (not even asking for a refund, just exchange or store credit) and the owner refused to do anything but give a $ 15 store credit, claiming she would have to sell is as «used» now. The tags were still on it and it was unworn, which makes her claim total nonsense.
While a couple of the younger employees are quite helpful while shopping, the owner is rude, unhelpful, and very abrasive. Spend your money somewhere else.

Good selection of items a bit pricy on somethings but still I walked a way with a purchase.
Owners are friendly and courteous not rushing a sale or crowding over one.

I haven’t been to many surplus stores… but I was pretty impressed by the size and inventory of this spot! They had all the necessities ranging from army apparel, backpacks, shoes, hats, etc. They also had some heavy duty camping gear and some stuff I thought would make pretty good halloween costumes including bomber jackets and old school looking flight hat/​beanies.

Excellent pricing and customer service. Selection is pretty good. Has both new and used BDUs. A big plus for this place is parking access and parking easy.
A welcome addition would be if they carried ammo.

If the prices weren’t so great, I’d NEVER go to a place where I felt so much like a criminal! The older woman who worked there was blatantly obvious at implying that we were stealing. She was so accusatory that I almost yelled at her & refused to give her my business, but I really needed a few things there so I held my tongue until I paid. Just be mindful if you come in here and are less than 40 years old; she’ll probably act like you’re a 5-​fingered spawn of Satan too. NOT recommended if you have alternative military surplus options.

I went here to get my Halloween costume. It was well organized and there was, surprisingly, staff to help me. I was able to get exactly what I needed and they had patches and other accessories. I gotta say that I’ll be back for more costume attire and maybe even a new jacket. Good times in Sodo!

LOVED this place. Went last Sunday to help a friend look for Halloween costume accessories and ended up buying a pair of boots and several groovy handkerchief (allergies) for myself. The lady who works on Sundays is a riot with her east coast accent and sales approach. She and the gentleman working with her were so very helpful. If you are looking for a tidy little shop in a mall, go else where… people this is a military surplus store! Things are, stacked, piled and crammed into every nook. Come prepared to dig around and ask the sales people if you don’t see what you’re looking for. They seem to know off the top of their heads if they have even the most obscure item you’re looking for and where it is located in the store. Don’t miss looking into the display cases up front, some very unusual stuff in there! There are many treasures to be found here if you take the time to explore the store you’ll find at least one. And remember, there is no whining allowed at the surplus store… my rules not theirs! Have fun, everyone shopping in the store the day I was there sure did.

This place has the best long john shirts, in my opinion. All cotton, which is nice for just beating around in. And they’re about 12 bucks. Or, you can go to a fancy schmancy «designer» store and pay 80– 200 bucks for one with a stupid label on it… your choice.

If you like military surplus, then this place is a gold mine. Right down in Sodo, across from Sears, it’s easy to find.
The little store is absolutely packed to the gills with stuff. They had aviator caps, military boots, uniforms, dickies work uniforms, bags, and god knows what else.
They also carried a wide range of boots in size 13. If you have to take that size, you know how hard it is to find. I even saw a 14, and some 13W’s.
Within a bare 20 minutes of being in there I saw so much I wanted. I even talked to a man behind the counter about WWII stuff, but he said that’s hard to get a hold of these days, but they did have real honest to god surplus stuff. Not just new BDU’s.
They had a good knife selection, with a few throwing stars for good measure. I saw camp gear that looked good. I know where my paychecks are going to go now.
Honestly, just go there. If you like that kind of thing, you will be stunned. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The staff were wonderful, and didn’t even mind my window shopping.

This place is out of the way, but worth a visit. The little store is packed full of interesting, practical, and often unusual stuff. There are boots, hats, jackets, packs… you name it. The guys who work there are helpful, and have never made me feel unwelcome (which can happen at some of the other military surplus stores). And I’m always pleasantly surprised at what I find there; it’s like a military-​themed treasure hunt.
