Sunergy Systems

Sunergy Systems designed and installed a system for us in Ballard in April 2016, and we could not be more pleased. From their patience with our frequent (and probably redundant) questions, to their thoroughness, professionalism, and pride in workmanship, they were just outstanding. We worked mostly with Adam Cox in the design phase and Tim Fekete during the installation; both of them were great to work with, as were the other folks who came through.
The amount of care before and during the installation was impressive, but the icing on the cake is afterward. Post-​installation, they handle tying into Seattle City Light, walk you through the details of your system, and leave you with 24-​hour online monitoring of your electricity consumption and production (which is fascinating in its own right).
Sunergy should feel great about what they’re doing, and about how they do it.

I feel so lucky to have come across with the Sunergy team. They take pride on being a family owned business and you can tell that they love their work.
My neighbor, who also has solar panels in his house, recommended them highly and I see now why. The same person told me all about solar and the great financial incentives that are particular to the state of WA (in addition to the 30% tax credit). In my mind this is a NO BRAINIER of an investment, if you are passed the price tag and if you have decent sun exposure. It takes very basic math to figure it out and Sunergy is great at explaining if you don’t.
In a matter of a week after I first contact Melissa and Steve (who came to my house) I was signing a contract with them. All the timeline and milestones that the laid out for me were met. In two weeks or so, Mike can to survey our roof. Panels were ordered on time and the installation was done also as promised a month later or so. The actual installation took only 2 days, so actually 1day less than what they had originally predicted (way to go Jon and his crew!)
You can really tell that they have great communication (just as a family should be!). One you talk to one of them, he/​she would know what you have talked to the other one.
A week after the panels were installed, Steve came to our house and delivered a nice binder with lots of information about our panel system. They call it a «Costumer Care Book». Talk about customer care and professionalism! he took the time to go over it with me.
Did I mention that they were all so willing to respond questions so many times along the way? you really feel backed up by the Sunergery team. Brianna was another person who also was so patient with me. She told me that they are (and will continue) checking my energy production regularly to make sure that it is doing what they estimated. They also installed a wireless gauge that connects to the internet so I can check how much energy I use and produce at any given time in my pc/​phone. This has become one of my obsessions now.
I have recommended Sunergy to enyone with my eyes closed. Indeed, a couple of friends got enthusiastic and contacted them also. It turns out that they had too much shade in their roofs so Sundergy told tham it might not be a good investment for them… talk about work Ethics now!
This is the first time a write a review about anybody or anything in Unilocal,but I feel this is the least I can do for such great team of people.
Needless to say, but just to make sure I get the point across, they are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (that’s why I know all their names)

I started my journey into solar by reaching out to 3 Solar installers as referenced by the Snohomish PUD website. I was honest with each of them and told them I was getting other bids but I wanted to gather as much information to make sure my system was the best. I obviously ended up going with Sunergy Systems but not before meeting with two other (not to be named) companies. These companies were professional, courteous and well trained in their field. I did not go with these companies as one was WAY over priced compared to the other two. The other company was actually less cost than Sunergy, BUT the value of what they offered did not match that of Sunergy Systems. When Chris from Sunergy showed up at my house at 5:00PM IN THE EVENING! he spent about an hour outside taking measurements, calculating roof angles and measuring the amount of Sun that my South facing roof would receive. He compiled all the information in to EASY to read comparison sheets. He proposed 4 options for system size with Payback period, all incentives, taxes, KW generation, Everything… Sunergy was the most complete proposal I received. I want to say Chris’s last name but I think it violates Unilocal policy, but Chris went above and beyond spending over an hour in my kitchen discussing Solar and «EVERY» facet of the process with my wife and I. He was at my house until 7:00pm explaining everything from Diodes to Federal Incentives. He was VERY low pressure, but still informative as much as I needed. Never rushed me, never lied about anything «to get the sale».
Chris is part of why I went with Sunergy. Being in business I know the importance of customer service, Chris does too. The process of getting solar was easy. Sunergy handles everything. After a couple weeks of working with Chris to narrow down what system I was going to get based on current and future needs, in which Chris worked up at least 15 different proposals based on my questions, I decided on an 8.4KW Itek system.
After signing the contract, the other companies played dirty and tried to negate the work that Chris and Sunergy had done by placing «doubt» in my mind, but Chris, Sunergy, and myself all came together and made it all work out and they REALLY stepped up to earn my business. I’m so glad I did.
After that, I received a phone call from Melissa in their office to schedule Mike to come out and have a site visit. Melissa is great, she can answer any question administratively with the process with out having to «let me check on that»… about a week later, Mike came out and measured, rechecked Chris, and laid out the install on paper for how it was going to look on my house and function. I was very involved in that discussion and they would not have installed with out me being involved. Mike later emailed me the drawings and submitted them for approval by the applicable authorities on my behalf.
Next PUD came out and double checked MIKE (that is 3 people that make sure what they are selling is accurate). They signed off and we were ready to work. It is great for piece of mind that you have 3 people tell you the exact same story so you know that your not being sold snake oil…
Alan and Eric from Sunergy showed up on Thursday morning. Very professional and educated guys that were not «just here do the job». I had taken the day off and maybe I was annoying by watching all day, but they were very willing to let me «watch over their shoulder». Alan literally explained everything and how it works and Eric was the roof guy and explained his reasoning for doing stuff. They both were passionate about what they did and you could tell by the quality of work.
Next, day they came back to continue electrical, followed by panels on the 3^rd day. I was up and running on the 3^rd install day. My meter is running backwards. I’m selling energy that I don’t use back to the PUD which is lowering my bills.
I know this is a long review, but in closing, I HIGHLY recommend Sunergy Systems. They are honest, reputable, trustworthy, caring, fair people. They have passion for what they do. I can’t thank Chris enough for his time and dedication to my project. I told my wife last night that this besides our children, is the best decision we have made for our future and our earth. Thank you Chris, Alan, Mike, Melissa, Eric, and the other installers I did not meet on Monday. I really do appreciate everything and am so thankful I chose Sunergy Systems.

Chris Herman and the Sunergy engineers, office support, installers and electrician were top notch professionals at every step of the way. They gave us a great bid on a large solar array/​electrical panel upgrade for our Seattle home and referred us to Puget Sound Co-​Operative Credit Union to get a special solar loan on incredible terms (without liening our house). They patiently answered my endless questions about how we could get the biggest possible system up there and what all the permutations would cost, how long it would take for them to pay for themselves and how all the financial incentives work. Finding out that our system could pay for itself in five years blew my mind — as my neighbor says, «why not do it?» — doing our part for the environment and making money to boot! The best part was that even after we had signed our contract, they called to ask if we wanted them to install it three weeks ahead of what we were planning! In the end that saved us several hundred dollars since it put us a tax year ahead for the Federal Tax Solar Rebate. Wait, the other best part is they are employee owned. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunergy to anyone. Their slogan «making solar simple» is truly lived up to.

they are a super professional company. they helped us on proper design, did a real professional installation and gave us great backup service. in addition they are nice people!!!

This is the best contractor we have ever worked with on any project. Every one of the staff we dealt with, from sales to installation to office, were experienced, professional, and excellent communicators. Their excellent communication is a quality that truly sets them apart and above other companies. At each stage of the process they walked us through what to expect, scheduling, what they needed from us, etc. Then they actually did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. They put quality and the customer first. We’ve been challenged by some in the Olympia community for not choosing a «local» company to install our solar system. I say a 60 mile radius is local enough, and Olympia companies should step up to the model of excellence created by Sunergy. Everyone would benefit.

Adam Cox was the point person on my account and I couldn’t be happier with him and the entire team. Every single person I came into contact with at Sunergy was a joy to work with. Sunergy values the customer experience and it shows.
Adam explained everything very clearly during the sales process and made me feel the most at ease. Sunergy was, by a wide margin, the most professional out of the four firms I met with.
They did everything they said they’d do and more. The installation went flawlessly and was completely in a timely fashion. The entire process from beginning to end was a pleasant experience.
