Love that it’s local and nice selection. Good furniture that will last and good price.

This review is no reflection on wonderful couch provided to me by Biltwell, unfortunately I had to deal with Geoff of «Suite Arrangements» to obtain this couch. Ballard Consignment also sells Biltwell couches for a higher price. I wish I had paid the extra $ 100 to not deal with Geoff. Go to Suite Arrangements, haggle.
I paid to have the couch delivered to my home, a service that was offered to me by Suite Arrangements. Geoff gave me less than 12 hours notice when the couch was to be delivered. I explained to Geoff that this was not a reasonable amount of time for me to make arrangements to let someone into my house.
Geoff, the owner of this business, became extremely condescending and rude when I presented him with my issue of having such short notice. He cut me short and said I did not need to «regale him with my woes» and explained the intricacies of delivering and traffic. Geoff seems to have a difficult time understanding that most people have jobs and cannot dismiss them quite as easily as he imagines.
When the couch arrived it was completely without any protective wrapping, not even a moving blanket. The legs are dinged up, assumably from sliding around unprotected in the box van. The delivery guys said Geoff took it off before having it placed in the delivery truck: great idea buddy!
In short, Geoff made it very clear how inconvenient he finds customers, so do him a favor and don’t give him any of your business, the people at Ballard Consignment are much nicer.

Well-​run consignment shop that favors contemporary furniture over antique pieces. This is not a thrift shop by any stretch, but rather a great place to pick up a previously owned furniture and accessories to add to one’s home. They tend to favor smaller pieces to preserve floor space. They use the traditional split followed by reductions monthly, the industry standard. Pick-​ups can be arranged with staff, as needed.
Staff is open and honest – they don’t lowball, nor do they inflate prices on in-​stock pieces.
Parking is difficult. There are a few spots in front, but on crowded days, you may find yourself parking in an gravelly lot. I wish the area was resurfaced and perhaps designed better to accommodate pick-​ups /​drop-​offs.

Just moved into a new apartment and needed a couple of pieces — I found some great stuff here! They have tons of used furniture to select from, for any style. Staff was friendly and helpful. They deliver, but it’s a little expensive, so the woman who helped me prepped and packed my furniture while we went to get a car that could carry it. Prices were decent — some things seemed a little high, but I felt the furniture and wall art that I purchased was reasonable priced.

I really wanted to have a good experience here but I will say that I am a bit disappointed. As a consigner, I dropped my furniture off at the West Seattle store and was told that Geoff would get back with me about what he thought they would price my piece at. Geoff had seemed like a reliable and helpful guy when I had initially been in to inquire about consigning. I waited for a few weeks, thinking that they probably had a high inventory and did not get the piece out. When I went in and inquired about it, they had no idea where the piece was. They finally tracked it down and said it was out at their Burien store. I called about two months later and they asked me for a description of the piece and said it was not in the store but would have to call me back when they found out what happened to it. They called back a few hours later and told me it had sold and the price they sold it for. They said checks had been cut and they would be mailing them out that week. Three weeks later I received a check for 20%, minus $ 11 in fees. Needless to say that was not much of a check and the invoice indicated that the piece had been sold 2 months prior. I will take responsibility for not doing my part to stay on top of them and may my experience be your advice; if you are an individual who wants to consign without having to do all the follow up, this may not be the place for you.

Use Craigslist.
Karen –an employee– is the only positive element about the entire place. The owner will smile & sweet talk you, then stab you in the back once he has your money.
1^st offense. Sign says 50% off. Well apparently it’s off an unknown imaginary number, not the price marked. (I was told if the price ends in a 6, it’s already been marked down 10%. But there are no signs saying this anywhere. Nor does it say anything about ½ off original price either.)
So an extra $ 80 was added to the price due to this little gem of store «policy».
With a sour taste in my mouth I decided to trek forward, no ones perfect right?
So… At closing I bought a dining table and chairs here and planned on brining it home the next day. I was promised it would be moved from the farthest corner of the store, up close to the door for easier access. When I got there, not only had it not been moved, but the walk way to it had been completely blocked with a chaos of furniture. We had to move and climb over couches, trunks, end tables etc., to just get to the dining set. The movers were in the shop and I asked for help getting furniture out of the way to grant access. I was very rudely denied, being told I would have to pay the movers, since the owner refused to take liability moving HIS store items assisting me to get what I purchased. That if I wanted them to touch anything I needed to be financially liable for their injury. So my two helpers and I moved them. Ridiculous as that is, it gets worse. The chairs we carried out over our heads to clear all the items in the way, (we could barely make a path wide enough to walk down.) but the table was too heavy for the three of us to carry this way. Beyond fed up, I again asked for assistance. The owners reply? «I told you to bring all the help you would need. It’s not my fault…» This was said with utter disdaine & contempt. Angry at this point, I demanded help, and with a sigh and talk under his breath I got it. The table was placed in the parking lot.
The three of us loaded the set into my truck. Karen came out to apologize for the horrid treatment we’d received. I let her know how upset I was at the unthinkably rude treatment I’d been given. Just the tone of voice alone!!!
At the end of our load up the owner came out, and proceeded to continue talking at me in the same hostile fashion, blaming me, over and over again for the situation.
I would have said «f$&@» the table, give me my $& back. But all sales are «final», and he isn’t the kind of person to refund out of good customer service, even if the merchandise hasn’t left the store.
Don’t shop here. Buy off craigslist. The prices are better, and the people are nicer. No wonder this guy has to close his 2^nd shop.

I see that this store has revised their contract based on my complaint and others dissatisfaction with their business policies.
Geoff is correct that I was missed the end date of my contract and distracted due to caring for a sick relative, traveling for my job and dealing with my breast cancer issues.
I will assume he is going to pay me the money he owes me from selling Andrew’s and my furniture? It is close to $ 1,000. When we receive our checks, I will be happy to revise my review.

I have purchased 3 items and love them all. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I have recommended this store to many friends and acquaintances. I had some problems with one piece and Geoff was a big help to me to get the piece assembled. I will definitely shop here again!

Don’t consign here, unless you read every word of their contract! Their business practice is horrible. We were one of the earlier consigners, never was told about the way they conducted business… Well turned out if you don’t pick up your unsold items within a certain amount of time all those items become property of the shop. Do they call you, no! Yes, what they do is legal… However, not well laid out. Be very wary of this business. When we did call, the owner was so rude to my husband! How does any respectable business person act this way?

Excellent service and friendly staff. I purchased a Thai display case without considering the measurements. Unfortunately, I was unable to accommodate the furniture piece after returning home and further review of the space. They were understanding and professional. I will shop there in the future.
