they charged me $ 84 for returning the car 2 hours and 7 minutes late!!!

I know this company is structured on ultimate rip-​offery, however, being under the age of 25 in the USA rental cars don’t come too often.
I had scheduled a pick up for a rental car to drive to Spokane to see my baby sister on her first birthday.
I unintentionally overslept the morning of and was running late to pick up my car and had neglected making a cash deposit to my bank so I only had cash as a payment. Being the worrier that I am I called ahead to inform them that A. I was late, and B. I only had cash versus the credit card reservation I had booked online.
The response was in guttural English, with clear grammatical errors:
«Cash is more riskier, so your deposit will be $ 100 more dollars»
Are you kidding me? Cash is the fastest form of payment? I couldn’t afford to leave a 300 dollar deposit with some assholes that can’t even communicate with me, much less, the customer service was stale, crude, and absolutely rude when it came down to attempting to humanize the conversation. Not to mention, after reading the policies online about the $ 40 dollar cancellation on a reservation of a rental car, I ended up talking to the same guy, and he was still quite possibly one of the rudest people I’ve talked to in quite some time. The worst part? There was no manager to talk to, he was the only person working there (apparently).
This place has a lot to learn from maintaining a professional conversation as well as maintaing a specific standard. Your customers are the people that give you your paycheck and support your company. If an employee can’t even deal with a customer (such as myself) that pushes and asks questions and tries to negotiate some HUGE economical difference, then why not learn how to train them, and make them respond in a way that isn’t so emotional?
And thanks, again, for making me miss out on my sisters 1^st birthday. Jerks.

What do u idiot misers expect when u rent a car from a company with such a name? Simply put: you get what u pay for. Spend the $ 10 extra and rent from some place reputable like enterprise

I totally agree with all of the other reviewers on the SeaTac Location– It plain sucks and the experience was a total ripoff. When you rent a wreck you get what? yes, a WRECK I rented a sedan for the family back in August for 2 weeks so I can see Canada and Washington. I got this tired 2001 grand prix with 150 000 mi no suspension in the drivers seat, had to sit on telephone books, been smoked in heavy– check engine light on (deemed normal) and transmission slipped after getting hot!!! When I asked them about another car they of course said they did not have any!!! So I had to live with it! First and last time I will ever use this company. STAY AWAY

THIS PLACE SUCKS! I have to add another VERY bad review for the SeaTac location. I’m not sure if there are others. I had a similar experience to Phil. I rented an SUV for the weekend to move some things from my apartment. When I arrived at 9am when they were supposed to open, Jessica was a few minutes late and had to get things organizing anything before helping the customers. There were others waiting when I got there. They were returning a car and needed a ride to the airport. However, she made them wait and helped me first. (which I didn’t mind, but thought it was not a nice move) I didn’t see any SUV’s in the parking lot so I inquired when I got inside and Jessica said she could give me the Ford Excursion for the same price. I thought, this place is great! Until… I filled it up with gas and was about halfway home and I got a call from both Jessica and some other guy who was her boss or something, but not at the same store saying that they gave me the wrong car and they needed me to return it. They were «nice» enough to let me keep it until I could drop my ride off at home so they could get to work. When I returned the office to get my new car (apparently, I rented a small pick up, not an SUV), the office was locked and no one was there. I waited for 20 min for Jessica to return. She was busy with other customers waiting so she simply just tossed me the keys to the new truck and said «here ya go». No inspection, no new paperwork, nothing. It was also out of gas. This one is my fault, I should have realized before I left, but I called instead of going back and Jessica’s «boss» patched me through. As I was explaining the situation to Jessica that I didn’t want to pay for more gas in another very large vehicle (ford f250), her boss, who was listening to the whole conversation interrupted and started yelling at her for not checking before I left. It was extremely unprofessional and I actually felt bad for her. THEY NEVER COMPENSATED ME FOR THE EXTRA GAS!
It goes on. This part is my fault but still a pain in the ass. They don’t offer insurance coverage, so you use yours, which is fine because I have insurance for this purpose. However, when I was returning the vehicle after hours to catch a red-​eye flight. I had a collision with a car turning into the parking lot. very unfortunate, but only a minor accident. There was minimal damage to their car and barley any to the rental. There were dents and scratches all over it and the new ones were indistinguishable. I filed a claim, but without any inspection paperwork I can’t see how they can prove what scratches and dents are from my collision. This will be interesting. They have been rude on every phone conversation so far and I get the sense Jessica is covering her ass for not filling out the proper paperwork on the exchange.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! IT IS NOT WORTH THE $ 10 A DAY YOU’LL SAVE!!! Also… all the cars there, really are trashed. I mean, very beat up and some of them seem to half people personal stuff in them.

[NOTE: this review is of the Seatac location] Eva pretty much hit the nail on the head. This place is literally $ 100 cheaper than all the others for a week, which makes it irresistible to a cheapskate like me. And like she said, everything about the experience is unlike anything you’ve ever encountered from the big guys. There’s more to my experience that I’d like to add, though: the lone gentleman who picked us up in a monstrous Ford Expedition informed me when I got inside his little office that the compact car I had rented wasn’t back yet, but we could have the monstrous Ford Expedition he had picked us up in. It seems that was the only vehicle left. Rather than wait around for who knows how long, I took it, though I found myself wondering how he intended to pick up the next customers. But wait, there’s more! Four days into our rental period, he called me to ask if he could exchange the Blue Monster (as we had come to call it) for something else. Apparently, someone had insisted on actually getting the vehicle that they had reserved — imagine that! I said sure, so he drove all the way out to Redmond to drop off a beat up Kia minivan and pick up the Blue Monster. This worked well for us in two regards: A) we were able to downsize (never thought I’d ever consider a minivan a small vehicle), and B) we didn’t have to fill the tank. So all’s well that ends well, I guess. Oh, and did I mention that each vehicle had over 100,000 miles on it? Never a dull moment with Rent a Wreck!

I don’t really think your standards can be all too high if you are renting from a company with this name, can they? Really?
I have to admit I was a little concerned about what I was getting myself into but the price was right to take a chance. So right in fact that it was over $ 100 cheaper than ANY other company that I looked at. They are a little more annoying to deal with just because they are such a small company (only one person as far as I could tell) and they don’t have a permit with the Seatac airport so they have to pick you up at baggage claim. But for $ 100 bucks, I’ll take it.
The guy who picked me up was friendly; we had nice, awkward conversation and he gave me perfect directions to the ferry. It’s pretty hilarious and odd though to walk into an old tire shop to see their dumpy little area with an old ass computer, slow as molasses printer and a limpy, broken chair. I gotta say though, in a sick way, I quite liked it.

This place sucks. Luckily I was spared the mistake of renting here. My decision to avoid them like the bubonic plague played out as follows:
I was checking their rates online. They have an economy car advertised at $ 16.99 a day. I clicked for more detail and saw the total daily fee for this car was around $ 23 after all was figured in. This included a cryptic $ 2.99 per day «surcharge».
Wanting to know what this was for, I sent a very benign email to the scoundrels asking them to please explain this charge for me. Here is the reply I received back, verbatim: «That is our purpose, its your chioce if you want to rent.» (yes ‘choice’ was misspelled as shown in their reply)
OK, two things stand out to me here…
1. what a rude reply, not to mention not answering my question. This is not a very good way to attract new clientele, or to maintain the current group of poor suckers who have had the gross misfortune of doing business with these … um… people.
2. do the words false advertising mean anything to you over there at rent a wreck? Why say the car is $ 16.99 a day, and then just put $ 2.99 more on for the heck of it? I could see them saying $ 16.99 a day + tax, that would be normal and make sense. I have an idea… why don’t they just say the car rental is free daily, with a $ 19.98 surcharge? That would make as much sense to me as what they are currently doing.
After calling in to ask my question again, I was informed that it was a ‘vehicle maintenance surcharce’. (note that I checked the websites of 3 other locations and none of them charge this fee). OK, fine, so it’s a vehicle maintenance surcharge… SO WHY NOT JUST CHARGE $ 19.98 A DAY FOR THE FRIGGIN’ CAR AND SKIP THE WHOLE SURCHARGE THING? I’ll tell you why, because they’re hoping you won’t notice, and they’re trying to make it seem like a better deal than it actually is… what a crock. Try being honest. I suppose it’s understandable… why would I pay $ 19.98 for a rent a WRECK when I can get a rental for about the same price from a reputable agency like Enterprise? So let’s make it sound cheaper then throw in hidden fees.
