Ralli-Round

Our 2003 Volvo XC70 broke down near here shortly after receiving it’s 135k mile service from a well known Volvo specialty shop (not a dealer). We limped it to Ralli-​Round (closed — Sunday), popped the key in the slot, and hoped they knew what they were doing. Called us up Monday, identified the problem, and also pointed out several things that the volvo shop didn’t really tell us about (broken engine mount — a very bad thing to left go– was noted buried in the other shops paperwork, but should have been recommended to fix before we left shop) or had done wrong (engine coolant they added didn’t match engine, some key fluids that turned out to be filthy went unreplaced). These guys were cheap, fair, and most importantly, they seem to care about my car and keeping it driveable! Our new regular mechanic.

I have used Ralli-​Round several times now. I find Ben and Sam to be great guys, knowledgeable, practical and looking out for their customers, ME!
They have replaced a blinker bulb, changed my fluids, transmission and now looking forward to new tires and brakes!
Ralli-​Round is «my shop». It’s where I will continue to bring my car for its service needs.

I just had some miscellaneous fixes done on my ’03 Vibe (a Toyota Matrix branded as Pontiac). About $ 800 worth, total. They did a great job. Really talking to you and thinking about what’s needed, not doing what’s not needed. I especially appreciate how Ben takes the time to source parts, getting the best quality he can at the best prices he can. Having somebody like him who’s super knowledgeable about parts producers and suppliers doing that legwork for you saves you a lot, and gets you good parts. Highly recommended!

I was very happy with Ben’s work on my Trooper. He explained the troubleshooting process to me and was able to find obscure parts to repair my antilock braking system for a great deal cheaper than a dealer would have. After talking to him I realized that he knows his engines and knows how to get the most out of them. He did mention some other things that were needed but offered me the option of getting them done later or while the car was there. I would definitely take my truck back to him and I recommended him to several friends.

Sam was extremely helpful troubleshooting my problem. They’re about $ 100/​hr. I was planning on and did the work myself. But again really Sam was very nice! Thanks.

I went there for a small problem that needed to get fixed. The owner was on the phone most of the time he looked at my car. The mechanic fixed the problem in under 5 minutes — he had to unhinge a lock. The owner charged me for $ 54 for 30 minutes of work.
He then scared me into getting more work done with comments like «why are you risking your life by not getting the brake fluid flushed» and «the other day someone died because their brakes failed». He wouldnt listen to me.
Net he overcharged me and also tried to scare me into getting more work done. I wouldnt go there again nor recommend the place to anyone else. The mechanic seemed like a competent and nice chap however.

I recently took my 2006 Audi A4 turbo wagon to Ralli Round after some major oil problems I had with the car. I feel so lucky to have found Ralli Round as they did an EXCELLENT and high quality job with repairing the car. Although it was a hefty price tag (it is an Audi…) I always felt that they had my best interest in mind and provided me with honest and straightforward updates along the duration of repairing my car. I never had to worry if they were going to «take me for a ride» or if they were going to do a poor quality job. Ralli Round will be my car shop for the rest of my life. You can’t go wrong taking your car here! I HIGHLY recommend for anything from a simple oil change to any major repairs. It is rare to come across a place you completely trust but I have found the place. Thank you Ralli Round for taking such great care of my car!

I’m glad I found these guys. They were very accommodating when it came to letting me drop my car off after hours, and they were working on it immediately the next morning. They were honest, friendly, and quick. I feel like every good mechanic I find ends up closing up shop after a couple of years, so hopefully these guys have better luck.

Ralli round is not the cheapest mechanic shop around. However, the exceptional service and honesty you get there makes them an INCREDIBLE value. I recently took my Audi Allroad to them for the dreaded suspension repairs. While I was in there, I thought I might as well bite the bullet and do the timing belt. Audi quoted me almost the sticker price of the car to do all of it. Ralli Round spent the time to find me all the best prices on only QUALITY OEM parts to make this extremely expensive body of work a little more feasible. I understand that Audis are terribly expensive to work on, and facing the amount of repairs that mine needed was intimidating. I am super happy with the quality of work, the quick turn around time (2 days for a FULL air suspension replacement and the timing belt/​water pump/​seals/​etc!), the honesty, and the follow through that Ralli Round provided me. The price tag was hefty (it is an AUDI), but about HALF what University Audi quoted me. I will go back to these guys for all my auto mechanic needs.

Alfa Romeo, the sportcar of Champions was the life for Seattle businessman and rock climber, Keith Magnason. Selling the business to a third party over ten years ago Ralli-​Round continues to thrive in these economic times. Still able to machine their way around performance racing they will do import conversions that exceed the usual need of an auto mechanic.
I used to bring my 1977 2.0 Liter Alfa GTV to Ralli Round and had a number of very special modification made to the car. First of all, it was determined girl to make it around any track and performed better the harder I pushed it.
Currently, still nestled in their obscure location right off of Lake Union, feel that they will give you the trust to work on your car. They also work heavily on Toyotas.
