Puget Sound Reprographics

I had a simple job: one large copy (20 X 30). I could have gone to Kinkos, but I thought, ‘hey, I drive by this place every day on my way to work — I think I’ll give them a shot a support a local business.’ Great. I pop over on my lunch hour, park go up to the door and give the handle a tug. Locked. Look at the time; 1:54. Look at the business hours; yup, they should be open. Tug. Tug. Tugtugtug. Definitely locked. Bell? Buzzer? Nope. Lights are on. Wait — what’s that? Someone in the waaay back at work on something. Tugtugtug/​knock knock knock. Nothing. Maybe there’s music on? Ah! Phone number on the awning! Dial. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. No answer. I’m standing at the glass door, staring at the guy working. No nothing. So, sorry Puget Sound Reprographics. The folks at the FedEx/Kinko’s got my business after all.

Definitely do not recommend. I try to give businesses a second chance because not everything can run smoothly 100% of the time. However, I have given them chance after chance to produce a very simple print job and time after time they have failed me. When I started my job this was the print service that was previously used so I went with them. Every time I order it’s the same thing besides the quantity. 25 (or so) copies, front & back, full color on cardstock. The quality turns out great, however the service is terrible. When you initially email an order they do not respond. You have to make the initiative to call or email several times before getting a response. Also, many times I have went to pick up my order and no one is there. The hours they report are not the hours that someone is actually working in the store.
I have recently switched print services to Minuteman Press and have been 110% happy with the service they have provided to me. I’m honestly surprised Pugent Sound Reprographics is still in business.

Okay, so you won’t find a team of employees in blue aprons, you can’t make copies at three in the morning, and the décor certainly won’t win any awards, BUT when I took my job (spiral-​bound manuals) to Kinko’s and then to Shakeb at Puget Sound Reprographics for bids, Shakeb’s bid was LESS THAN HALF than Kinko’s. He and his staff of one did a wonderful job and even delivered it to my door. In fact, I’ve been going ever since and been very happy with the personalized service, turnaround time and attention to detail.

They are comfortable with their current clients apparently, as they have taken my order, and then called back the next day to say they won’t do it 3 times now.

A very average experience. Because this spot doesn’t have reviews (and their address that was previously listed on Unilocal has been inaccurate for a while) it wasn’t among my top choices for a print job I needed to have done. However, I have a friend who needs printing done often and she recommended them.
After wandering aimlessly trying to find this store I gave them a call and found out they were about 5 blocks from where they had been listed. I picked up my prints (for which I never got a sample of via email) and headed on my way. They were cheaper than most places and because of that, they weren’t the very best quality. But certainly good enough! Especially if you’re on a budget.
The only other issue I had was that I made a call last week about having items printed and was told I’d get a phone call with a quote on (this past) Monday morning and that everything would be done that same afternoon. Come Tuesday and I realize that I never got the call. Frantically I call up and ask about my order… I am put on hold for a few minutes and then someone tells me they were closed on Monday. D’Oh! That info would have been useful last Friday! Oh well…
Prints were good. Price was good. Just make sure to be on top of things because they might not be.
