Puget Sound Brewery Tours

Ok, I don’t write reviews typically, but I just got back from a great trip in Seattle and have to review about the great stuff I did up there.
My bf and I love trying new beers so I searched around for brewery tours in Seattle. I am so glad we went with Puget Sound. Due to several other beer festivals going on and an emergency cancellation, we lucked out and had a private tour. Aaron is so friendly and knowledgeable! He took us to 3 different sized breweries, which was cool because it gave us perspective on how they operate. Aaron was great and after learning what types of beer my bf and I preferred, he knew which we would like for our next tasting. He even had water on hand to help us keep hydrated. Aaron really knows his beers and you can feel his passion which made the experience that much better. I’m bummed we don’t have any tours like this down in the Bay Area. I highly recommend the Rainy City Tour to anyone visiting the area!

This was an excellent craft brew tour in Seattle. It far exceeded expectations and I would really recommend this tour. This tour covered 3 very different craft brew establishments. It gave a good diversity in it’s selections. The beer tastings were great and our guide Aaron gave us a great education on the process, and the history of craft beer trade in Seattle. And he was funny!
I am a «beer drinker in training» having just started drinking craft beer in the past 6 months. Aaron quickly narrowed down on my preferences and tailored my pours to things I favored.
I could definitely see how this would be a hoot for a group of friends.

A friend and I got the Woodinville tour as a gift from our wives and had a great time. We learned a lot about different beers and tried some that I might not have other wise tried. Had one beer that had sage and patchouli in it, who does that??? It was not my favorite of the ones we had, but glad I tried it, I call it the Berkeley girl. We hope to do some of the other tours this summer as it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

You honestly need to experience this. It’s totally worth it, you will have a new appreciation for beer after this tour. I guarantee you will never want to drink anything else but craft beers after your tour. Aaron is a great host, very knowledgable about his craft beer, and knows where the spots are in Seattle. Please try this tour out, you will not regret it.

My girlfriend & I had an awesome time on the Rainy City tour. Our guide, Aaron made the tour very enjoyable and he was extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed how he took us to newer breweries that were still small and growing. We didn’t go to any «chain» or large breweries which was nice and different. We could sample whatever beers we liked and he had a cooler in the van to keep our growlers cold. The price was well worth it considering it came with t-​shirts, growlers, and the equivalent of 5 to 6 beers in samples. I learned a lot and I would definitely schedule another tour through this company.
I also liked how we were able to go to the breweries before they opened which gave the tour a very nice and personal feel. I don’t have any suggestions or ways to improve the tour.

It has been almost a month since my beer tour in Seattle. But, I still have to say that this is a fantastic beer tour. My boyfriend (non beer snob) and I (beer snob) greatly enjoyed the tour and it is obvious that the owner loves beer. Compared to other beer tours, it is a greater ROI, since you get a free t shirt and growler glass cask. The owner has superb beer taste and my only regret is not finishing the growler of beer I bought before coming back to California. But my friend enjoyed finishing it!

My sister and I were only in town for a couple of days, and we were so happy that we decided to go on this tour (Rainy City tour). What separates this tour from others is that Aaron-​the tour guide-​has relationships with each brewery and can show you everything there is to know about the beer making process and how it changes depending on the size. He pretty much can talk about all the equipment as if he’s been digging through the mash himself. I pestered Aaron about how, with all his knowledge about the brewing process, he didn’t homebrew, and he told me that the products he takes his tour groups to are so good, he doesn’t feel a need to. Respect, man. Even better, Aaron will take you outside of just the downtown stuff, and give you a true taste of the Northwest. Why go try stuff you can have anywhere when you can do something different?
The tour is good for both the craft beer connosieur and those just beginning to dabble outside the world of Miller Lite. Aaron’s really good about explaining what notes you’re looking for when you sip, and can help you figure out your preferences in style/​body as you sample away. And you will sample, my friends. Who cares, you’re not driving! Or biking on those pedal pubs, gross. I will take a nice, cushy, heated van any day over having to work for my beer. Working out for beer goes against nature.
I won’t spoil the fun of finding out what breweries you might go to, but know that there is plenty of variety in the beers you can try at each place.
The tour itself will pick you up either from the market, or from the Hyatt at Olive 8, so that was convenient. They have a large shuttle van with their logo on it. The tour includes a growler that you can fill up at any brewery along the way. You also get a t-​shirt. Mama loves free swag.
Do yourself a favor and go on this tour. Go on all of Puget Sound’s tours. And please report back the mysterious port-​a-​potty place we didn’t get to see. Thanks.

This is a one-​of-​a-​kind Northwest tour! I learned a lot about beer on this tour. Our guide, Aaron, was fun, knowledgable and gave us the insider view of how local craft beers are made. He took us to nano, micro and larger breweries so we could understand the differences in how they brew, bottle and distribute their beers. He has an established relationship with the brewery owners so we were able to meet them, ask them questions and learn what drives them to make great craft beers. The ride between breweries was scenic and comfortable too. The van was roomy and air-​conditioned. I especially like that we could buy beer to take home! Aaron had containers (which I now know are called growlers) ready for us to fill up. I can’t wait to try another one of his tours!

You have some friends in town and of course you can take them on the touristy adventures, but to be local and be taken on an adventure to niche spots is something special. I’m in real estate, which takes me all over town, to brown nose, rub elbows, and mingle. My friends look to me to take them places that are under estimated shock and ah surprises. Aaron @Pugetsoundbrewerytours blew all nine people in the tour away with his niche surprises. He obviously had established relationships with the proprietors as a customer, because of his own fan-​ship of these people’s Craft Artistry. Which added so much to the brewery tours. So grab a friend or give a great and original gift to someone, which will create envy, and intrigue, to all those you are raving to the next day (with somewhat of a hangover, from the delicious brews sampled in abundance).

On this tour we got to try a lot of amazing beer, tour the breweries and learn about the craft beer and the process of making beer from the brewer’s themselves.
At each brewery we had a private tour of the facilities and were able to really appreciate the brewing process.
Our guide was fun, informative and showed a true passion for the art of brewing.
Can’t wait to try another one of their tours!
