Quilted Strait is a destination quilt shop with 4000 bolts of cotton quilting fabric and a large selection of threads for Needlework and Embroidery. Our shop staff is knowledgeable and helpful in the shop and for ecommerce orders as well.

History

Established in 2000.

Quilted Strait was started in Port Angeles, Wa in 2000, in 2003 Kris Cornell purchased the shop and moved it to a larger location in 2005. The shop was moved to historic district of Port Gamble, WA in 2010 to the 100 year old stables building, where it has become a destination shop for quilters and lovers of embroidery and needlework. Quilted Strait was a featured shop in 2012 in the Bettter Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler Magazine.

I am so grateful to be be involved in a small business endeavor that celebrates creativity and art using thread and fabric. There is not a day that goes by that I am not inspired by the ways our customers use our fabric and thread to celebrate events, create art and bring themselves creative joy. When I am not in the fabric store, I can be found with a good book, sometimes about quilting, or in my garden, which is just another way to play with color!
