Proletariat Pizza

Solid 3 stars, no more.
Pros:
— Decent ingredients, dough, overall pizza texture and flavors. Nothing amazing though. Doesn’t necessarily warrant another trip back.
— Liked that they have some unique stuff like ham and egg, «hawaiian» with Spam, etc.
— «East cost» style pizza — slices so big you gotta fold ‘em to eat ‘em! But beware, you wait to long and it becomes soggy and the ingredients slide off. Haha!
Cons:
— They don’t serve «regular» sodas here. They didn’t have Diet Coke. Only Rachel’s Ginger Beer, some Jones soda varieties, and iced tea. This is weird to me… not sure if they’re trying to be hip/​unconventional but carrying Diet Coke in additional to the «cool» stuff would be really helpful and nice for customers… too bad.
— The orange soda one of us ended up with tasted BAD. Like, I rarely say that about a soda but it was flat and tasted like syrup.
— Their service was a bit of a miss for me. We had 2 different servers and they were both slow/​non-​attentive.
— This is a family-​friendly place. While that’s fine, be prepared for a large gaggle of kids just coming from soccer practice/​screaming babies/​etc. Was very loud…
— The price may seem a bit high to some. For a large pizza + 2 sodas, I think we walked away with a $ 40 bill.
All in all, I am not compelled to return.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in WA. Plan to buy multiple pizzas because you can’t get enough! The pizza with egg on it was so good!!! The wait staff is super good and served 20 people with ease. Can’t wait to come back!

Went last night and actually loved the location, the two owners were on hand and all was quite great, both pizza and service. The salads are really quite great particularly if you enjoy balls of blue cheese and balsamic dressing, the cheese pizza consistently a great test passed with flying colors. It’s clear they’re smashing it with the dough. Well worth it and plan on really being a routine.

I love the food here. They have the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Sometimes I just go in for tiramisu. The salad is awesome as well, especially Caesar salad. Overall, love this place.

It’s a bit of a dive, but the pizza is pretty good. There are so mane good pizza places in Seattle that I gave it this score because it is relatively above average, but not fantastic. I would go back there again.

I called to place an order on a Sunday night. First call I was put on hold and waited five minutes. I hung up and called again and they answered and said they were «not taking phone calls at this time». No apology, just hung up on me. Completely unacceptable. We will not be dinning here based on that kind of service.

Fantastic flavorful and well-​balanced thin crust with a nice variety of toppings. Excellent draft beer selection. Probably the coolest pizza boxes of all time. Great hand-​painted signage on the exterior and interior. Super good music playing on the stereo. Across the street from Full Tilt ice cream. I love this place!

Being from Boston where the pizza is much better and way cheaper, I have come to expect Seattle pizza to be two things: mediocre and overpriced. Often a 25 dollar pizza tastes like cardboard and is no better than Costco.
Prolotariat is good pizza and the thin crust captures some of the flavor of Notheast pizza. The. prices are reasonable for Seattle.
Not enough sauce. Ordered an 18 inch cheese and barely any sauce so it was more like cheese bread. I will ask for more sauce next time.

Pretty fucking fantastic. The slogan on the pizza box pretty much sums it up. I didn’t know DubC had a secret gem nestled in a run down strip. I love white center and this pizza parlor made me love it even more. Who would’ve ever thought potato on a pizza would be so delicious.

In the midst of what I found out is called, «rat city», you see a humble sign, «Proletariat». If you hadn’t already read the Unilocalers reviews already then listen up people… THIS PLACE WILL MAKE YOU LOVE PIZZA ALL OVER AGAIN! The ambience is relaxed yet family friendly. The staff is kind and courteous which is rare this day and age. And the beers they offer on tap compliment their pizza, as if they were made for this place. Eat here eat here eat here! That is all!

Cute, divey, casual restaurant. Great atmosphere for families as well as those looking for a nice beer. Located in one of the many eateries in West Seattle.
PROS:
Ambiance: Nice, prompt, friendly staff. We came on a Wednesday night and it was packed. Street parking.
Price: Reasonable prices for the pizza size.
CONS:
Food: I ordered half pepperoni, half pepperoni w/​mushroom. If you like thin crust pizza, this is your spot. If you prefer a thicker crust like I do, then you will not get that here. The pizza sauce and seasonings were great and tasty but the crust got too soggy after awhile. It was a little too thin for me. I might be up to give them a second chance.

We have a new go-​to pizza place in Seattle.
I enjoy a thinner crust and flavorful topping and PP delivers the goods! We ordered Margherita and Sausage and Olive (two tests of a good pizza for us) and we were pleased with the results. I want to return and try the potato pizza as well. Parking is a little iffy but if you cruise around you can find a spot in short order.

This place was the only reason why I went to White Center. However it was a mistake, the ham and egg prosciutto pizza gave me a pretty upset stomach for the rest of the night. Enough said.

Excellent and very unique pizzas! Steve went here and we got a potato pizza. I know that sounds very unusual. I haven’t come across it in my restaurant visits but it was wonderful! It was almost like potatoes au gratin on cooked pizza dough. Very delicious!
Service was very good and a fun and quirky atmosphere makes Proletariat Pizza a great place to go for those of you who are looking for new takes on the same old hum drum pizza or are pizza aficionados.

Proletariat is a cool pizza joint in White Center, affably nicknamed Rat City (due to either a probably rat infestation or an old military base). It’s not the most affluent area, but the pizza was superb.
I ordered an 18″ Margherita to go. The cheese to sauce ratio was extraordinary — it makes you wonder why Papa Johns or Pizza Hut haven’t just copied Proletariat. The (maybe it was buffalo?) mozzarella came in large chunks, melted in pretty white circles over the top of each tomato slice. If I had to pick some small thing to gripe about, I’d say the basil wasn’t very stunning. This pizza was just as tasty the next day cold.
My friend whom I was visiting Seattle with asked the question, «Do you ever wonder why pizza places include the little white table in the center of the pizza?» That question deeply troubled me, until I realized that it’s 2015 and I can look that up on the internet. Initially, I thought it was to keep the pizza slices separate. Those little white tables actually are called pizza savers. They prevent the top of the box from touching the pizza. Glad we solved that mystery.
Proletariat is the kind of pizza that makes you wish pizza was some health food. I’d definitely return if I come back to the White Center area.

Had this place bookmarked for awhile and decided to give it a shot. Having never been to White Center before, it’s definitely an interesting area to say the least…
As for Proletariat, the inside is nice and welcoming with smells of pizza. We ordered the caesar salad as an app, which was pretty standard, and an 18 inch pie split between white center and cinco.
The cinco was definitely my thing, straight cheese all over. As for the pizza as a whole, it’s more on the thin side, while I prefer a little thicker.
The quality overall was definitely good and I could see myself coming back. Until then, I’ll search for some thicker za.

I like everything about this place. It’s a bit gritty, it has a (pseudo) political message and it has amazing pizza.
I’ve been wanting to go to Proletariat for ages, and we finally got to go for pizza and beers the other week! White Center is a bit out of the way for me, but Proletariat, Full Tilt and Mardi Gras donuts have a special spot in my heart.
We ordered a large ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ with the White Center White (now as a special with grilled asparagus on it!) and the Brooklyn. It was huge. Not «oh my god my tummy hurts because this thing is bigger than my torso» huge, but still enough to be a challenge for three people.
The pizzas were glorious. The Brooklyn had the right amount of grease without being slimy, and the toppings were really tasty. The crust is really good, and not too chewy, and the pizza base has a good texture and crunch without getting overburdened with sauce and toppings. Both the tomato and the white sauces were subtle and complemented the toppings well.
Service was really good too; the staff are cool with a no-​nonsense attitude, but they’re nice. We got some good beer suggestions from them, and they chatted to us about the art on the walls. They also borked our White Center order and we didn’t get the asparagus on it, so they made us a whole second pizza with the grilled asparagus so we could taste its deliciousness. It was amazing.
My only gripe is that they need bigger tables to accommodate the pizza AND the fact that elbows are flying everywhere when people are trying to chow down on these things.
In the back there are a whole bunch of old arcade games (and the bathroom). You’ll need the door code for the bathroom, but that’s not a biggie. They also seemed relatively clean.
Although they also have dessert, here’s a better alternative at Full Tilt across the street.

Better than Italian Family pizza near Downtown Seattle.
Proletariat pizza is… so… perfect. Perfect thickness (or should I say thinness?), crispy-​ness, toppings, and seasoning!
If you’re not a huge meat person, I recommend going during HH (everyday between 3 to 6pm) for their specials on cheese, pepperoni, and Margharita pies (10 to 13 dollars for 18 inch pizza — what a deal!!).
Tip! If you like beer (as in good quality beer), avoid their house beer called Rat City Blonde. They seem to always have Manny ‘s (which is… alright)… when I went, they had Select 77 by Fremont Brewing. I would have gotten this… but I thought I would try beer I haven’t had before… yeah
Amex is not accepted but they take Visa.
What a gem in this run down ghetto area (no offense… but it’s pretty… ghetto… I can’t even think of a better word).
One more tip! This place has pretty good arcade machines but if you go across the street to Full Tilt Ice Cream for dessert, there are better games and pinball machines. Games don’t overlap though. If you like games you see here, don’t hesitate to play. But if you don’t, save your coins and take them over to Full Tilt. You’re Welcome.
