At this location particularly bad service they never have what I want available, seriously go to any other Potbelly it’s a different story but this one sucks.

Conveniently located on Madison Street next to Swedish Hospital, Pot Belly is an excellent choice if you want a more wholesome meal compared to Jimmy John’s and Subway. With a nice menu of toasted sandwiches, Pot Belly also has soups and salads that are both fresh and delicious. They also offer breakfast sandwiches when you still have a hankering for breakfast. And if you have a sweet tooth, Pot Belly also has a menu for shakes with Salted Caramel being this month’s special flavor. And each shake has a small cookie included on the straw as a nice final touch. If you wish to have a side for your sandwich, there are a wide variety of chips to choose from and cookies that are delicious. Pot Belly works similar to Subway in that you order your sandwich and bread with one worker. Then once your sandwich comes out of the toaster another worker asks what toppings you would like on your sandwich before it is given to the cashier. They pride themselves on getting you in and out the door in eight minutes or less. You can also order Pot Belly online to be delivered and here is where they lose one star. Unlike Jimmy John’s, Pot Belly has a delivery minimum of $ 10. And they also have delivery times. If you order too late, either you will not receive your meal for an hour to an hour and a half after you order or they could run out of delivery times. So my only recommendation if you have it delivered is to order early or visit the shop. Other than that Pot Belly is also an awesome lunch option if you are in the First Hill area.

This was my second and last attempt. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich and what I got was a salt sandwich with some tuna in it. None of the extra ingredients had been added either. The staff here are overloaded, the manager needs to hire some extra help, its very uncomfortable. But, I will never go here again, terrible food and uncomfortable atmosphere.

Poor customer service. We ordered online and the wait was 1 hour. It is better to go there in person!

Had the pizza sandwich and it was super yummy. Love how they toast their sandwiches. Great location next to Swedish.

Oh man… Was I expecting too much? The atmosphere is nice with their warm feeling of design but they don’t have the most important thing. Their sandwiches are not good. The portion is too small. The bread is not even baked in the store and of couse not FRESH at all. Not many choices of subs are offered. Their salads are small and expensive. I have a big problem. I can’t really find any good sandwich place near where I work. I wouldn’t recommend if you want anything good.

Sausage, egg, mushroom with cedar on white square! Breakfast several times a week. Favorite lunch item… The Wreck! Don’t forget the strawberry/banana smoothie! The staff is efficient and quick.

If you would have asked me yesterday to rate this location I would have given them 4 stars. However today is a completely different story. I literally got there before the rush. I ordered two salads with minor omissions. In theory they had less work to the salad, yet it still took them 15 minutes to make my order. Four other people with sandwiches behind me received their order before me. I guess making a salad is rocket science. Based on what I could see there’s little team work going on at this location.

The sandwich was delicious but the service was so awkward. The people working there were just super odd. I can’t completely explain it. But if you don’t want to be questioned about your choices, don’t go here. The guy laughed at me when I said I didn’t want chicken. What? It was just a strange experience. If you can go through with all that though the sandwich was good but I’d rather go across the street to Jimmy Johns though!

Apparently opening by 11am on a Saturday is too hard. Would not even allow us in. Will be taking our business to the Jimmy Johns across the street. Disappointing.

I ordered my sandwich and watched as the employee got a replacement scale from the soup table as the sandwich line scale’s batteries had died. They did not wipe down the soup scale and started putting the meat for my sandwich on top of the water and ‘goo’ rings on the scale from the soups that had been weighed on it previously. It was then that I said something and they set the meat aside and wiped down the scale. Then I asked for a wax paper protective sheet and they then used wax paper they found somewhere else to keep the meat for my sandwich sanitary. I have serious doubts about the health hazards and sanitary conditions of this place and have stopped eating here. I thought I had found a great place as they had great sandwiches and the turkey kale soup was amazing. But now when I drive by and think of getting food here, it turns my stomach. Don’t take your chances, food poisoning isn’t fun.

Waited 10 min to have someone make a sandwich for me when there was only 1 other person there… Cashier asked me if I wanted my food in a bag… Of course I would… So she handed me a bag then proceeded to hand me my food to put in the bag… Okay, that’s weird, she made me bag my own meal… WTH??? Then looked at me weird when I grabbed my own soda cup she forgot to give me. I would expect better service when I spend $ 17 for a meal Also Cashier, who was mopping the floor never washed her hands before handing me my soup… I’ve been to this chain before, but never had such poor customer service

Consistent sandwiches. Friendly staff. Wish they were open later during the week. The manager is a great friendly guy who always recognizes me and my wife and asks how things are going without being nosey. Always makes us feel welcome. It’s a Potbelly — food is pretty much what you expect out of a place like this.

I’m not really the type to complain about a bad customer service but when I went there for the first time today with my friends for lunch, the servers were pretty rude. I order a chicken & cheddar sandwich on wheat. They took my order and when I got to the person who puts the toppings on the sandwich, he asks me what my order was. He said he doesn’t have it and tells the girl that took my order to make a sandwich and she says«we don’t have wheat» with a sassy attitude. It irked me because of the fact that I placed my order and knowing that they got my order, why didn’t they inform me that they ran out or didn’t have anymore wheat bread??? So I waited a while for my order. Sandwich was decent. Didn’t like the customer service.

Love potbelly.. Great sandwiches, soups, desserts. It’s a great way to start your day with a breakfast meal. Have been coming here a long time and never disappointed.

This place is a fast food sandwich place, nothing more and nothing less. But at least it’s a pretty good fast food sandwich place. Potbelly’s is never my 1st choice for lunch but it’s a decent and quick back up option and the quality of the sandwiches is superior to the slop subway sells. The service is usually pretty fast and friendly. My biggest knock would be they close so early but they must focus on the hospital lunch rush.

One of those moments when you have a huge craving for a really good Sandwhich and decide to try this place … Soooo good !! Ordered the breakfast sausage and cheese Sandwhich and it really satisfied my craving. Cooking just enough in the oven, buttered on the inside, extra toppings were nice. The guy waiting on me was cute and friendly :) Id come back to this place and try other food on the menu.

Definitely try the new Seahawks Sandwich! Chicken, bacon and blue cheese — OMG! Git in mah mouth!!! That thing was delicious! I added light mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers(gotta have the peppers!!), and some light oil. I think I inhaled that thing. And the majority of the staff at the locations I’ve been to have all been pretty cool. There was one exception of a guy and girl team behind the counter one time that appeared to be… just…using up all of the oxygen in the room… but once they finally«found» all the ingredients for my order(with creepy delight) and I finally got my food from them, it was awesome as usual.

In the mist of after the holiday chaos, work needed a place that would deliver. Glad I found this place to try out. They were very accommodating especially since we didn’t have any advance notices. We got 35 turkey and grilled chicken sandwiches that came with chips which were $ 233.78 after tax. The grilled sandwich was delicious and Alan with the sandwich and chips were sides of plates, utensils, pickled peppers(amazingly good!!), mayo, thin slices pickles and chopped up onions. They delivered on time as promised and was pleasant to work with via phone and made things easy upon delivery/pick-up. They open early so that’s a plus. Definitely will be back. Unfortunately, no picture was taken.

I tend to order my lunch here every now and then. I’ve even had them cater a work luncheon. Staff is friendly. The food is always good. My faves are A Wreck and the Italian. The hot peppers are super delish and have a nice kick to them. I like that they deliver. I haven’t had any problems with their delivery service and I hope I never do. I hear great things about their shakes, so that’s next on my list of must try’s.
