This place has a decent selection of high quality glass compared to many less specialized smoke shops. However, if you’re looking for a big kid setup, you’re going to be pressured to spend $ 200+ compared to $ 100 – 150 at many similar stores. However, you are purchasing brand name American made glass. Service is pretty good in general, but they’re not smooth about the upsale lingo. If I say $ 200, don’t show me something that’s $ 300 or $ 400. The time before, I went in for a replacement bowl, and the guy tried to upsell me on a whole new rig without any foreplay. Cmon man, I’ve worked in retail and general sales, this isn’t chill.
Also, my biggest disappointment: After a decently large purchase, I had totally forgotten to put in my phone number in their rewards program (tablet next to the register). So I missed out on over 100 points (1point/​$). The cashier basically told me he had no solution. So I missed out on my anticipated $ 10 off which had been compiling. Since there are no returns, returning it and rebuying was not an option to receive the credit. I left the store pretty angry. I’m willing to pay the premium to buy quality at Piece of Mind, but when no one reminds you to enter your phone number, nor have a sign, AND you get screwed out of store credit, it’s pretty frustrating and does not give me peace of mind.
I’ll probably come back as this is my closest smoke shop of quality, but I’m still frustrated.

Just a heads up (see what I did there?)… If you buy an expensive water pipe here, do not expect service after the sale. I’ve been back twice to buy a replacement bowl for a $ 220+ pipe I bought and walked out empty-​handed, despite there being 10+ identical pipes on the shelf with the exact bowl I needed. After leaving my name and contact info so that a replacement could be ordered, I’ve heard nothing.

ive been to the one in udistrict before and the prices were always outrageous. today i called the lake city location to ask some questions about product availability and the girl who picked up the phone was super rude.

This is the best smoke shop in town. The employees are knowable and quality is top notch. Not to mention that prices are reasonable especially for hand crafted works of art!

I first came to this location a couple of years ago after visiting one of Peace of Mind’s other locations in Seattle. The first thing I like is that it’s not in a really busy part of town, which means ample freeee parking on the street or nearby lots– always a good thing. The area is easy to get to and around in, unlike downtown or some other parts of the city. Just get off the freeway on 145^th or 130^th (if from the south) and head east until Lake City Way, then head south on Lake City Wy a mile or less. It’s on ground level, east side of the street.
The second thing I really like is that the place was very low-​key in general, without the unnecessarily chatty owners which I found in shops near my location (Lynnwood– lots of shops, not much quality). It was simple, clean and functional inside, with everything organized logically. I like that they don’t need to clutter things up with center display cases to try and make it look like MORE… more isn’t always better, and I like the somewhat minimalist layout.
That’s not to say that they don’t have a great selection, because they do. I’m pretty sure I saw examples of everything you could possibly want, and all at least good-​quality up to ultra-​high-​quality. You won’t find really cheap glass like in a lot of shops in the area, so if you only want bigger for less money, there are other places to visit in town. But in terms of value, this place hits it right on. You will get products that will last at a good price, so you can spend $ 45 once instead of spending your $ 19.99 three times on cheap factory-​made glass that breaks easily, and in the end you save some money.
The General Manager, Bones, showed me a couple of nice tubes from a producer I hadn’t heard of before, and I ended up getting something made by them. It works amazingly well, and I would certainly trust him in the future for recommendations. He seems like a guy who cares about helping people get what they want, or even amazing new things that are even better.
Any of the Peace of Mind stores are a must-​visit if you want quality at good prices, but POM Lake City is my favorite so far. If anything, go just to look at some of their worked glass– very nice.

These guys always have a fantastic selection of pieces, including some super unique stuff made locally. The folks behind the counter are very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We’ve been shopping here for years and I will continue to come here as my one-​stop-​shop for smoking accessories.

Love them! The manager and the pretty girl with the dark hair that sometimes works here are superb sales people! Always put a smile on my face!

Gorgeous selection! Bought a really really cute piece there tonight that has some brilliant coloring. Saving up to come back for one of their (many) water pipes.
Also bought incense, which the guy working there was very patient about. I asked to smell pretty much all of them, and he even recommended me one and I ended up buying it. He also gave me a free pack of sticks, which was so wonderful.
Great customer service & great choices. Worth the price, without a doubt.
PLUS! If you come in with the munchies, panda express is right there. Hahah.

Been to the one in Fremont plenty of times. Piece of Mind always has had over priced glass but always an awesome selection. One day left Greenside with two buddies and decided to stop at the lake city store front. The blond girl who works there is sweet but there was some hipster kid working there that was trying to get cute with us. Even after we brought $ 200 worth of product to the counter. He decided he was still not done being funny so we decided to not buy the stuff and walk out. We went back in right away just to tell the girl it wasnt her and she was cool but her home boy was gonna get knocked the f@ck out if we didnt leave. He wasnt a comic after that. Go there but beware of the douche.

The manager is still considered a jerk and that wont change BUT he is knowledgeable and helpful… Just don’t expect to be blown away and you’ll leave a satisfied customer…
I picked up a really neat pop top 420 jar from them for less money than what the manufacture sells them for on their website…

initially, i was planning on: going in, getting a one hitter, then leaving. however, when i walked in there were some pieces that caught my eye and decided to see what they had in stock. they had a wide array of creative, functional, expensive, and cheap options. really great selection of glass. as a test, i wanted to see if the girls behind the counter knew their stuff. sure enough, they were able to answer some of the questions i posed. this shop doesn’t sell the magazine ‘glass aficionado’ but i’m not sure if anyone in seattle carries it. overall, i was pleased with my experience — went in looking to get a cheap bat and left with a nice glass chillum for a decent price.
