I found Parlor Salon on Unilocal and am so glad I made an appointment with Laura! She was so sweet and professional, not to mention she did an amazing job on my Balayage and cut!!! (And I’m a hairstylist so I’m a tough crowd). I will definitely be coming back to see her, thanks Laura! :)

Laura Paulson at Parlor Salon did my bridal hair, my brides maids, and my Mom’s hair for my wedding this past July (2015). She traveled to Queen Anne to make it more convenient for us, and she truly did an amazing job. She did an intricate design on my hair where she braided a headband from ear to ear and wrapped it around a pony tail on the side with lots of ringlets. It was absolutely gorgeous. I was told by some people that it gave a Greek Goddess-​type vibe, and other’s said it looked very natural and earthy. In addition, my bridesmaids all had an array of hair types and she made all of them look amazing. I 100% recommend her for up-do’s. Thanks, Laura!

Just went to the Parlor for the first time and saw Jess – everything about my experience was wonderful! It’s been a year since I had a haircut (fairly traumatic hack job at a school) and I finally decided it was time for a trim from a real-​deal salon. Jess was fantastic! She made me feel totally at-​ease, and it was such a treat getting a cut from someone who can have such a lovely conversation while working. I got a trim plus fixing up all the messed up parts from the hack job, but somehow, she managed to actually make it seem like I hadn’t lost any length at all, while still re-​shaping it so that it actually lays nicely now and is so much healthier. Not to mention, their prices are quite reasonable for such a nice place! I will certainly be back! :)
Oh, and I should add, they are probably the ONLY business I have ever worked with that actually responds to their online contact forms, and they did so almost immediately! I loved that we could do everything via email; they were always super fast, and were even able to accommodate a fairly last-​minute scheduling change for me.

I am very disappointed with this salon and would not recommend anyone even wasting their time calling them. I called them on three separate occasions trying to make an appointment and no one even bothered to call me back. I gave them every opportunity to make an easy 150 bucks off of me and they didn’t even take the time to respond and say they aren’t accepting new clients. In the immortal words of Vivian… «you work on commission right? «Big mistake, big, huge, I have to go shopping now». So yeah needless to say with so many other gem salons in the Seattle area I will be taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.

Laura and Jess at parlor salon are both fabulous! Laura does my color and cuts and Jess did mine and my wedding parties hair on site for my wedding. Laura does an amazing job. I recently went to her to have her take my dark brown hair to just about platinum blonde and she did fantastic it almost seemed impossible but she did it in one sitting. She is totally impressive. Jess is so sweet and took such good care of me and my bridesmaids. We all looked so good on my big day. The fact that she came out to my wedding location made my day so stress free and easy. I could never thank these girls enough for making me feel beautiful!

Salon is great. Small, friendly and affordable. The stylists are welcoming, the salon is clean. Parking is on the street and was free and easy to find.
Got my hair done by Jess — and will be going back for my next cut. So refreshing to get a great haircut by someone that knew what they were doing.
I was getting my hair done at a downtown salon and moving forward I am done with those establishments.

Anne did my hair for my wedding last week and I could not have been happier with how it turned out. She listened to my vision and made it happen and improved upon my idea to make it turn out even better then I could have hoped. I normally hate my hair but after she was done I couldn’t stop smiling and checking it out in the mirror– she made me feel beautiful!
She is so fun and bubbly and was great to have around beforehand while we were all getting ready. She also did the hair of a couple of my bridesmaids and they too were 100% pleased with how it turned out. For their hair, they just showed her a picture and she worked her magic to give them exactly what they wanted. The compliments were flowing from the wedding guests all night on all beautiful all of our hair looked. I highly recommend her– you would be lucky to have her do your hair for any event– whether it be your wedding or just a haircut.

I recently changed my hair stylist to Laura Paulson at Parlor Salon, after being with the same hair stylist for years after hearing such good reviews about Laura. I have to say, Laura did not disappoint! As a guy, I like to have my hair cut every three weeks, and am a bit of a perfectionst. Laura not only exceeded my expectations, but has great attention to detail. PLUS, she is very friendly and makes the short time we spend fun and easy going. I have had the same hair style for decades, and decided to go a whole new direction, and Laura was easy to work with and made the change enjoyable, and I LOVE my new style. I HIGHLY recommend visiting this cool and relaxed salon, and definitely recommend having your hair done by Laura.

Laura did my hair for my wedding and I could not have been happier. We did two trials (she was very patient with my indecisiveness) and I decided to wear my hair down and swept to the side. She cut and colored my hair a few weeks before in a way that complemented the way I was planning to wear it. On the day of the wedding, she came to the house where we were all getting ready and did my hair as well as the bridesmaids. Some of the girls had photos of how they wanted their hair and others had no idea. She has great style sense and knows what will look good on people. Everyone ended up LOVING the way their hair looked, including me! I would definitely recommend Laura without hesitation!

This is a terrific hair salon. I have been seeing Traci since I moved to Seattle last year. She always takes the time to understand what I want and is accommodating… yet she will point out when she thinks I should do something differently, which I genuinely appreciate, since I am definitely not a hair professional. She strikes a great balance between getting what I think I want and getting what will look best on me, which many stylists can’t do well. I always leave happy with my hair. The only disappointment is that scheduling can be difficult because we both work on the same days (Wed-​Sat) and those few times that I’ve had to reschedule at the last minute, I’ve had to wait a few more weeks to be seen. I guess this is what happens when you have a popular hair stylist :)

I have finally found a place that I will go back to time and time again. The space itself is lovely — very modern and clean — but the important part is the stylists. I saw Jess and she is amazing. I don’t generally get too excited about hair but she did an absolutely fantastic job. I was getting quite a few inches lopped off and got a foil with some corrective color action thrown in and it turned out great. So great that I can’t stop talking about what great experience I had! Jess is so friendly and knows what she’s doing. I would recommend her to anyone. The easiest way to make an appointment is to contact the stylist directly by email or phone instead of calling the salon line. As far as pricing goes it’s reasonable for the quality you get. And parking is pretty easy too. A win-​win-​win!

I’ve had color done by both Mya and Tracie. Each experience was wonderful and my hair looks naturally blonde, not fake!
The atmosphere is relaxed and the stylists were both friendly and chatty!

Imagine my surprise when I arrived for my appointment only to find out my stylist who I’ve been seeing moved out of state! I’ve had the appointment for 6 weeks and she never called to cancel or offer a new stylist. Luckily Anne was there and she was fabulous! She sincerely apologized for the situation and offered me another appointment the same day! I happily accepted and returned later (I live close so not a big deal) and she did a fantastic job with my color/​cut! She was so nice and so much fun. I definitely will keep returning to this salon for their outstanding customer service, reasonable prices, and awesome stylists.

I am delighted to say that coming to the Parlor Salon with Jess as the owner has been a dream — I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Jess does an outstanding job with my hair and in the past few years I have never been disappointed. She has also done a wonderful job making this salon a comfortable and stylish place.

After going back to here quite a few times — I am upgrading them to 5 star because their small scheduling issue has definitely been overcome with the awesome service I always get here!
I get my hair cut with Anne — she does a fabulous job, is so sweet, and it is so reasonably priced! I really love everything about this place and highly recommend it.

My stylist, Jess, recently bought Parlor Salon, so since she is insanely amazing I obviously made the move from her old salon to Parlor.
The interior is super cute! I love the décor and colors — it’s very welcoming. The location is great — really easy to get to and there is plenty of street parking around the area. Prices are super reasonable.
As for Jess, she was wonderful as always. My hair is always a lot happier after she gets a hold of it! She knows exactly what I want and executes it perfectly. She’s also super friendly and nice — we always have a good time chatting together. It makes the whole experience even better!
I will definitely be back.

First time: best experience ever, perfect hair cut.
Second time: confusing experience, and a disappointing hair cut.
I had Mya both times. The second time I asked for the same cut, and she did something different because she became distracted by giving me a cut that would grow out nice. Which one: didn’t work, and two: has only looked good the day she styled it.
You know there’s something wrong if literally no one notices you got a cut.
Edit: I increased my rating because the owner contacted me and offered me a free appointment to fix it, but I’ve moved away so I didn’t take them up on the offer.

I love this place. The prices are reasonable, they have great service and a fun but relaxing atmosphere. They also offer you a drink while you get your hair done.
I have been going to Tracie for over a year now and I have never been disappointed with my hair cut or color. I have always had shorter hair so it is easy to get a bad cut and you can’t jut pull it back to cover it up. Tracie always cuts my hair perfectly. As for the color my hair is brown and tends to pick up reds that I don’t want and have some crazy greys that don’t like to hold color. However she mixes my color works, it does not turn red and the greys hold the color for a long time.
All in all I would highly recommend Tracie at the Parlor.

Normally, I’m pretty loyal to Ten Pachi. It’s hard to beat $ 25 for a really well done hair cut and a good experience. However, it had literally been eight months since my last haircut and things were getting a little out of control, so I decided it was ok to spend just a bit more on a haircut to get something I really liked.
I live in Olympia, but I was up in Seattle for 4^th of July weekend and happened to have nothing to do on a Tuesday afternoon, so I decided to try a new place in Seattle. I checked Unilocal reviews for north Seattle (no way I was going to downtown during a parade), and this place came up with all five star reviews, so I decided to try it.
I’m glad I found you, The Parlor! They got me an appointment that afternoon, and I got Mya as my stylist. Right off the bat she was awesome. She let me take a few minutes to describe what I wanted, and actually took the time to understand what bugged me about my hair and what I wanted it to be like. And then, she cut it, and it ACTUALLY looked how she said it would look!
Also, after she cut it, instead of putting a bunch of ridiculous goop in my hair to style it, she just used a hair straightener, which is ACTUALLY something I can do myself (it drives me absolutely freaking nuts when I get my hair cut and they style it in a manner that I can never recreate even remotely).
This place is great — good experience all around, and I got a whole hour of their time (instead of the 30 minutes I usually get at Ten Pachi). Sometimes you just want a little more attention, y’know?

I love this place because:
1. It’s 3 blocks from my home. I can come in whenever I am having a bad hair day.
2. Great prices.
3. Love that it’s small and inviting.
Mya, my stylist was awesome. I walked right in on a Wed afternoon and she totally understood what I needed. My hair was dry and was such a pain in the butt to style since it’s straight and nothing but straight, but she grabbed my hair and just started chopping it off. It was a pleasure talking to someone who is passionate about what they do.
I loved that she gave me some layers, made my hair feel light and free. It’s great walking out of the salon, knowing that it’s a hairstyle that’s easy to maintain without going crazy.
I’m kind of bummed they don’t open on a Sunday. I was looking forward to trying out a bridal up-​do for my wedding. Crap. Now where do I go?

My hairdresser, Heather moved here from a salon in Wallingford. Boy, am I glad she did! The Parlor is super cute, clean, and you can tell that the owners really care about this place.
I would pretty much follow Heather anywhere! She has been cutting my hair for about a year and a half. Never have I had so many compliments on my hair! She really takes her time and makes sure everything is perfect before you leave. Plus, she’s super friendly and the time flies!
