Alysia always does a great job with my hair. She listens to what I’m looking for and makes helpful suggestions and fantastic product recommendations. She’s the first stylist I’ve been seeing consistently for a couple of years because of her awesome work! Domino Beauty Boutique is rad!

When i first walked in to Domino Beauty Boutique I did not know what to expect. I was nervous it was going to be a hoity toity place and that I wouldn’t feel like I fit in at all. I was so wrong. Immediately you feel like you are walking into a place that is chique mixed in with homey. Gretchen greeted me like I was entering her home providing refreshments, taking my coat, showing me to where I can wait comfortably until it was my time. Tiffany was an awesome experience for a stylist. I stated maybe a few things I wanted and she went to town, creating exactly what I asked for. The décor is awesome and although it’s a small space, they maximize it perfectly. I can’t wait to try more of their services, cause they offer a lot! So stoked to have found this gem of a salon!

I’ve never liked or made haircuts a priority… until I met Alysia! I always enjoy my experience and walk out with a great cut. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend!

My facial with Amanda was SO lovely… the perfect balance of amazing skin care and relaxing massage. I left feeling totally blissed out!

Pamela is the best! I love how she just knows what to do with my hair and always make me feel a bit more confident walking out the door.

I’ve been on the fence about chopping my hair for a while… finally decided to just do it. SO glad I did!
Jamie is magical! First time I’ve been able to describe what I want without having to pull up a picture and have it turn out perfectly! A little more pricey than what I’m used to, but it’s definitely worth it. I will be back for sure.

Here’s the deal: I chose to use Domino BB for my bridal party. I had been a bridesmaid in a wedding the year before, and while my friend warned that she had been charged somewhat shadily for an extra session on the hair because her stylist didn’t quite get it right the first time, we both loved how everything ended up on the day of the wedding, and loved working with Jamie and Alysia, so I wanted them to be part of my wedding too!
Hair and make-​up-​wise, Domino BB was fine. It took several tries to get my make-​up right, and it was still tough the day of (in fact, I think the best run we had was our second try). On hair, Jamie tried to do something different with my hair on the day-​of, and it ended up looking much rattier and less smooth than our trial run, and falling out during the dancing, so that was disappointing. Makeup also did not quite last through the night. The third stylist that they brought was clearly an apprentice, and spent a lot of time asking Alysia how to properly use the makeup they were working with. They had to completely re-​do my sister and mom’s makeup (neither of whom is high maintenance… in fact they were just asking for a more natural look, which they had asked for to begin with, and the stylist had gone overboard.) All in all, people looked good. Would have rated them a 3.5 for the looks — didn’t knock it out of the park, but did fine.
However, Domino was completely unprofessional in how they handled communications, scheduling, and billing. Most egregious errors:
–After an extensive conversation about scheduling, and without asking or notifying me, Domino BB moved my day-​of schedule up by an hour and a half. Their original plan was to leave my house at 12:30, when I and my bridal party wouldn’t be leaving for the venue until 2 PM. My wedding planner had to negotiate with them — the week of the wedding — to at least get Jamie to stay until 1:30 PM so that we could do a final check of hair and makeup. This still meant we all had to get to my house earlier than planned, instead of enjoying breakfast together. Disappointing but not a deal breaker.
–Pricing: Domino BB overcharged me by $ 125. If I had not seen my credit card statement and noticed, I never would have known, because they did not provide me with an invoice (or a contract) until I requested one. I am still (6 weeks after the wedding) waiting for them to refund me the $ 125 they admitted they overcharged. WTF? Unprofessional, and not worth the stress/​hassle.
–Pricing Rd2: Jamie told me that they would be bringing an apprentice stylist with them whose first wedding it would be. She did not tell me (until I received the bill) that we would be paying an extra $ 50 for this stylist. Had she, I would have requested to work with one of the stylists we had worked with for my friend’s wedding, or at least not to be charged full price for an apprentice. We noticed the difference. Unprofessional.
–Service/​feedback: I wrote the folks at Domino a polite note sharing my feedback with them (including the sentence: «I love you guys and have referred you a ton in the past, which is why I am sharing this feedback.») They ignored it. Along with ignoring the outstanding to-​do of crediting my card the $ 125 I am owed (or $ 175 if you don’t think I should have been charged for the apprentice), which they said they would do. On July 21^st.)
Domino is totally wonderful as a place to get your hair cut. Alysia and Jamie, who we worked with for my wedding, are both great at what they do. But if you are planning for a special event, please take my advice and go with someone else. In-​laws, weather, and other uncontrollables will bring enough stress to your special event; you don’t want to be dealing with it 6 weeks later or having plans change on you day-​of.

I won’t go anywhere else for my eyelash extensions! Dana is amazing, fast, and always on schedule. I have been driving to Domino BB from Issaquah every 2 weeks for well over a year. they are that good!!! Finding an esthetician that knows what she’s doing is also very important for the long term health of your natural lashes.

Went in for my first brazilian wax and was terrified. Dana was so comforting and kind. She did a great job and her service was amazing. I absolutely recommend her!

The staff here were so nice and accommodating, I loved going here and felt really good when I left. I arrived 20 min late due to traffic (and being new to the area) and Jamie fit me in anyway which was really nice of her! This was my first time at this salon. I had very specific requests (as I was getting married in a week) and she worked with me to figure out how to give me what I was looking for with minimal risk of a less than satisfactory outcome given what I was wanting and how close it was to my wedding). I had a semi-​permanent color done, with extra ‘cool’, ‘ash’ tones added to combat a copper undertone in my hair. I loved how it looked, and Jamie is really fun, upbeat, a kind of ‘no nonsense’ person, and she is very knowledgeable about hair dressing and products.
Where they went over over and above was when I was waiting while the color was processing and it started to irritate my scalp. I told the receptionist and she acted immediately to help. Another stylist there was very knowledgeable and reassuring as I had worries about what might happen (allergic reaction, hair loss etc.). I’m an anxious person and she was very attentive to what I was saying and answered all my questions. They did a cooling massage and several rinses to help ease the tingling. Then Jamie told me to call her the next day if I still was having a problem (I’ve read many stories of stylists not doing any followup in situations like this, so I was glad to hear she would communicate further on this). She also offered may helpful theories of why it tingled, and made a note in my file as to what happened so we could avoid it next time.
Negatives: the location had minimal parking and the store itself was a little messy, but I left feeling great, and highly recommend this salon!

I had a great experience with Alysia and am in love with my cut. She even took the time to teach me some hair tricks and make me look amazing for a date!

I tried a few different spas before coming to Domino, and Amanda’s eyebrow waxing is unparalleled. She’s a true perfectionist. She also gives me a tint for free whenever I go in for an appointment, and the customer service at this place is spectacular… I commute 40 minutes and I have a terrible habit of running late from time to time, but the girls are always extremely understanding and amazingly patient and manage to fit me in. Not to mention I love the location and the entire facility is lovely, sparkling clean and professional. Thanks!

Fantastic and fairly priced. There have been times I have spent over a hundred dollars on color for my hair, to leave with it not looking great or to have it wash out in two washes. This was not the case this time! I needed an emergency root retouch and toner done for a grad school interview so I came in and saw Alysia. She is great. She foiled my hair and roots so fast and did an accurate job. Some stylists forget to fix the roots on the the front. I now can wear my hair back and down and parted any way I want and not have un sightly outgrowth. In just an hour she fixed my botched dye job, and it didn’t break my bank. She is thorough, and pays attention to detail and you can tell she loves what she does. I highly recommend. A friend of mine saw Pamela for color and was really happy with her results. Also this salon uses one of the best color lines and products: Davines. You will leave happy and smelling great.

This is the second time going to Alysia and I love her! I just moved to this area and it’s always hard to find a good hair stylist. I feel like I got really lucky finding her. The first time I got a haircut and she really listened to me. When I said not too much on the length, only an inch, she did just that. Today, I got a balayag done. I will never get a foil again. She did an amazing job again listening to me and what I was going for which was more blonde but also natural. she also does a great job showing you techniques like how to curl your hair with a straightener and how to do wear your hair down but keeping your hair out of your face with cute twists etc… I highly recommend her, she truly goes above and beyond. Looking forward to having her do a Keratin treatment next. Also, highly recommend Dana if you are needing help with your brows.

I was thrilled to hear Amanda S. was moving to my neighborhood. I let two people touch my skin… my dermatologist and Amanda. I have extremely sensitive skin and suffer from Rosacea and she knows exactly how to care for it. She’s gentle yet thorough and my skin always looks amazing when I’ve been to see her. She’s also a master with my brows. I get compliments EVERY time I’ve been to see her.
There is no question Amanda is an expert at what she does but, equally important is how she does it. She has a calming, healing energy about her that instantly centers and relaxes me. It’s clear she cares about her clients’ entire well-​being, not just the outward state of their skin.
I can not recommend Amanda highly enough.

I’ve been a client of Amanda for a number of years for waxing — she’s wonderful! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually look forward to my waxing appointments — before Amanda that was NEVER the case.
Amanda always has a calm approach to waxing, a big part of which is the setting she develops and the positive energy that she gives off; she’s also instantly responsive to pain or when I’ve had breakouts in the past. As a guy, I’ve always felt a bit nervous about my waxing appointments, but I’m glad now that I’ve found someone as professional and welcoming as Amanda.

I just recently discovered Domino Beauty Boutique in Greenwood and I couldn’t be happier. They have a fantastic team of estheticians and stylists. I see Michelle and she is great. From the get go she was warm, friendly and really listened to what I needed. Now, whenever I book appointments, I can look forward to a great conversation or I can just fall asleep. Doesn’t matter, I always leave looking fresher and better than I went in!
