My fiancé and I just moved into a rental managed by PRIME 2 months ago. During these 2 months we’ve already encountered a few small problems, but have been impressed with how management has handled everything. Mattie C. has been very easy to work with. She’s extremely professional, kind, and prompt with responses. This is a huge relief to us since our previous renting experience with management was like pulling teeth just to get anything done. I’m an HOA board member at a PRIME-​managed condo property and I’ve been extremely pleased with PRIMEs service, in particular the above-​and-​beyond service of our property manager Jason Haynes. Jason manages a number of properties, but always manages to keep on top of important things for our building — from fire equipment inspections to window washings. Not only that, but on multiple occasions Jason has provided expert advice and counsel related to a number of non-​standard issues that have come up, helping the board to come to their own informed conclusions on various matters. Kudos to Jason and the PRIME team.

For the last year, I have rented a condo in a building managed by PRIME. They were very responsive, and dealt with any problems I had very quickly. Mattie Cruth and Jason Haynes were my primary contacts there, and they were both friendly, professional, and very helpful.

To be clear, I can only review PRIME as a homeowner in a building they manage, not as a board member. That said, I’ve found them to be very mercenary — particularly in our new property manager. He’s one of the most adversarial conversationalists I’ve ever interacted with. I’m currently dealing with water damage from the building or from the unit above mine and he’s actively making the process more difficult for everyone involved through rude communication and working very slowly with contractors.

We recently terminated our contract with this group, who were managing our cooperative condominium. Although their fees were lower than many competitor groups, it may be a case of «you get what you pay for.» Although they generally could handle dues receipts and bill payments, they failed to pay our property taxes on time and would not take appropriate responsibility for this lapse. Part of the problem was constant staff turnover, such that our board members essentially had to «babysit» the building managers. Overall they failed to provide knowledgeable advice in important areas, one occasion of which led to a lawsuit. Real estate agents constantly complained about having to deal with their office staff, and some of the fees they charged. Overall, we do not recommend this particular management company.

I would like to add to the list negative reviews for P.R.I.M.E., Inc. They have been unresponsive to e-​mails and conversations with the property manager for my building (Sid Horvath) have been far from pleasant. Mr. Horvath was very disrespectful and provided no follow up to my inquiries.

This company portrays themselves as educated and knowledable, however that is far from the case. We hired them after a bad experience with our last property management company, with PRIME promising things they have never followed through on.
There is an issue in our building with a pipe that burst. The ceiling is torn apart and has been so for over six months. Our board president is doing more work for our building than PRIME is; obtaining bids, meeting with contractors etc.
Repeat emails and phone calls are rarely responded to. Their service is very expensive, especially for the lack of service that we get.
I would not hire them.
