Only been once since my friends said we should pop in and hang for a bit. It’s known for being a gay bar but anyone can walk in (obviously) and enjoy themselves for a bit. If you’re homophobic… well don’t go here. On the other-​hand, gay people getting pissed that straight people go here is hilarious and moronic. It’s Seattle — one of the larger cities in the United States. And it’s capital hill — tons of younger people go out to these bars/​clubs and hang. Expect to run into a mixed crowd on occasion at the very least.

I just left that cheesy place thinking the three girls (over 30) could have fun and dance. Obviously it has the rep that girls can dance bc it’s a «guys» club. Two Persian guys pulled my hair to the floor and no one did a thing. The owner came out and said it was my fault for dancing. I’m called gorgeous… but over 30. Be careful girls this place is awful!!!

Fun atmosphere, good music and I like the fact that they are open until 4am.
Minus one star for an influx of creepy straight guys hovering around the dance floor. I like going to gay clubs because gay men are more fun and the clubs have a better, more easygoing ambiance (especially if you are an attractive woman) so being followed on the dance floor by lecherous hetero dudes isn’t conducive to having fun at a GAY bar. If I wanted to be bothered with gross straight men, I’d go elsewhere.

I’d love to support an amazing venue with varied events and a wide appeal. I’ve always had such positive experiences with staff here from the go-​go dancers all the way to bartenders, but tonight is disgusting. The bathroom staff for the women’s bathroom is out of machine paper towels. I don’t have cash and she has refused me service. Im sorry, but your superfluous and questionable service is not hinged upon my tip. Awful, terrible extortion.

WARNING– When I was here last weekend there was a straight guy who slips drugs into unsuspecting girls drinks. Although I can’t for sure say who did this, I will say that there was a guy here who claimed to be from Honduras, wearing a sock beanie on his head, who was hovering over my girlfriends drink when I returned from the bathroom. He gave her all kinds of compliments and made intense eye contact with her, clearly trying to distract her. She went from buzzed to ship wrecked in 30 minutes while we were dancing. She was completely defenseless and became violently ill shortly after her left. People have died from passing out and suffocating in their vomit after being unknowingly drugged. Be Careful with your drinks.

I just have to express my respect and gratitude to a bartender who cut my friend off from drinking this evening. Although she wasn’t being a blatant, belligerent shit show, he could tell she had one too many by the time it took her to order and pay, as well as misplacing her drink. I feel as though most bartenders would have looked the other way but this dude quite literally said, «I’m not playing this game» which was just bitchy and blunt enough that her wasted ass actually paid attention and proceeded to attempt to pull herself together. Sometimes you just need someone to tell it like it is. I appreciate anyone who cuts through the bullshit and gets right to the point. Good job, bartender sir. Props for maintaining an establishment and clientele that isn’t ruining the night for everyone else because of careless over serving.

Really disappointed with neighbors! Went out for my sister’s 30^th birthday on Halloween. Bought tickets prior thinking we would get in easy. Not the case waited in line for an hour then got in waited for a half an hour to use the bathroom. Then waited a half an hour for a drink. Wasted the whole night. Would not recommend going here!

One of the only places that’ll let us party until 4am, so we’ve ended many a night here. For the tourists, yes, the bar closes at 2am. It’s a Seattle law, and you’ll find that true for every drinking spot on the Hill.
I’ve been here so many times, but I refuse to set foot inside unless I’m already drunk. Otherwise I know I will end the night by punching someone and getting thrown out. The music is much better when you’re drunk, too. It’s not bad, but it’s basically a long mix of generic dance remixes to pop hits, and a few filler dance tracks between those ‘hits’. You can get a good dancing rhythm when they have a decent DJ spinning, though. Kudos to the DJ last night for keeping it pretty consistent and fun.
Here’s the disclaimer, and it’s a big one: LADIES, this is creep central. Stepping foot into this place almost guarantees you will be hit on by some creep that’s not on your level, and more than a few men will put their hands on you. Sensual waist grabbing, butt grabbing, and boob grabs are very common here. For being a «gay club,» it’s… really not. It’s becoming a hive of a few gay couples, a few gay men hanging out and an increasingly high number of single male creeps that will dance with, touch, and try to take home any lady that doesn’t aggressively shove them back.
The experience is different if you have a male friend with you, but only because the creeps will assume you’re not on the market. Take a group of ladies, and you’ll have men dancing between you (one dude literally kept pushing himself between us, after we’d move to exclude him), trying to take your hand and lure you away from your friends (excuse me, who are you again?), and a lot of new «friends» that really just want in your pants and are sizing each of you up as hook-​up prospects. You’re guaranteed to see a familiar favorite: the intent, overly focused creep stare, where a dude you’re not talking to or even looking at will stare you down for several long minutes while dancing uncomfortably close to you, as if waiting for you to respond and accept his blunt invitation. And a new one I’ve added to my roster, mr. touchy-​feely: he puts his hands on you, and when you swat them off, he bats his eyelashes and looks innocent, like it was a miscommunication. Yeah, that doesn’t work when you do that for the tenth time. Get the point and leave, please.
Single ladies, please love yourselves; don’t take the creeps home. They’re not really into you, they just want to get laid. I’ve made a few valuable connections from the bar scene on the Hill, but they don’t happen here. This would be a wonderful club if I didn’t always feel like I needed a shower when I left.

My experience here was ummm… interesting. Slogan for the night was that «I am going to Neighbours with my neighbor» which was actually was it sounded, I went to Neighbours with my neighbor, Joe who wasn’t gay, but we both still had a hell of a time. We both just found it hilarious that the table were turned here because now he was the one getting more drinks bought for me than me when we usually go out to clubs. I must say, even though he was getting more attention, it was just really refreshing not getting hit on by thirsty guys and being able to have fun with friends because the guys here weren’t attracted to my kinds. Hahaha. The bartenders here were all guys also.
Neighbours stay open later than most bars/​clubs so if you could actually still make your way to an after party here if you aren’t in the mood to go home yet after your place of fun closes at the typical 2am in Capitol Hill.
There’s no dresscode, I think cover prices depend on the night, music was EDM the night we went which was perfect to dance to solo or with friends, and the crowd was friendly gay people, but non gay people goes here too!

$ 10 for what? Cheese dance music, inconsistent speaker utilization, «bright as day» lights on auto pilot which degrades an even horrific dance experience even worse. It’s sad what people will just accept as entertainment in Seattle.

I have had a good time in Seattle. The bats have been fun and drinks good. Until I got to Neighbors. They charged me $ 10 to get in at 2:40am. I got inside for them to tell me they stopped selling alcohol at 1:45. Why? I’m not sure. The music sucked too. I asked for my money back and they would not give it to me. No explanation why they stopped serving at 1:45. I’m from Florida but that is complete bullshit. Come to Florida. We will show you how to run a night club.

Last Night, we attended an event at the venue. It was HORRIBLE! If you advertise that your show is going to start at a specific time, start at the advertised time. Waiting for a drag show is not fun. This ties into being respectful.

Neighbours used to be a great place to go and dance but there has definitely been a significant change in clientele in recent years. My most recent trips to Neighbours involved numerous pushy and excessively drunk men trying to dance with and touch my wife, my friends, and me. This is not acceptable behavior, regardless of where you are or how much you have drank. I don’t know what it is about Neighbours that attracts this kind of scum, but I have no desire to ever go back. If you’re looking for a decent nightclub with less scum, go to R Place.

I LOVE this place, haha. It is so fun. The music is loud and there are lots of space to dance around and act like a fool. I’m a big fan!

This is one of the best establishments in the Capitol Hill area and if you could not find a better location to have a great night weather it might be off Friday Saturday Sunday night it’s amazing

As far as gay clubs go, I prefer R Place. It’s more glam.
But…Neighbors is open late so you really can’t go wrong with that! They also spell it with the «u» so this appeals to the Canadian in me. Huge dance floor but the bartender did not enjoy muddling lemons and limes into my vodka sodas. Keep it simple guys.

I love neighbors and consistently have a great time there. From the shows to the dance parties to the twerk-​offs, it’s a great place to be.
But last night (10÷30÷13) I felt so unsafe because of a group of men who approached my friend and I and wouldn’t go away — and the Neighbours staff took care of it.
These guys approached us upstairs by the pool table; I had to leave my game to be in — Halloween costume contest. And when the contest was over they were waiting for is downstairs.
We were dancing with others but these guys were standing as a group in the wings, starting. They tried to butt in multiple times but we shrugged them off… Finally it got so bad we had to leave.
And the guys tried to follow us out.
An Chuck, the incredible security guy, saved us. He had us go upstairs while he told the lady bouncer not to let those guys in. Then he advised us of the best route back to our car. He even offered to call us a cab.
Even after, the creepy guys circled around the block and found us so we sprinted to the car and lost them.
Chuck was the reason my night was super fun with just a little fear and not a total disaster. That man went above and beyond.
