At Move Strong Training we believe that fitness should be functional for your life, which means learning how to move better while you build muscle and loose fat. We are passionate about finding new ways to help the body move the way it was born to move and we hope to teach all of our clients that their bodies are capable of more then they realized. When you work with us, the emphasis will always be on you. We’ll design an individual program that is tailored to your body and your goals. So whether you want to get your first pull-up, run a marathon, or have the energy to play with your kids, let us teach you how to move strong.

History

Established in 2015.

Rachel Farkas, the owner of Move Strong Training, started out her working life as a lawyer until she realized she needed to spend her time doing something she was passionate about. Since she spent most of her free time reading up on the latest health and fitness trends, becoming a personal trainer was the logical next step. Rachel worked as a trainer for several years at a local gym but became frustrated with the lack of customer service her clients were receiving at the gym. In 2015, Rachel decided to go out on her own and established Move Strong Training so she could give her clients the attention and service she feels is necessary to make the training experience a great one. At Move Strong Training if you’re not happy with your training for any reason, talk to us about it and we’ll make it right.

Meet the Business Owner

Rachel F.

Business Owner

Rachel is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has taught classes in kickboxing and weight lifting and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Rachel first got serious about fitness when she started rock climbing in 2007. Rock climbing was the first sport that really inspired Rachel to want to be stronger and move better. It transformed the way she viewed her body and what it was capable of. Now Rachel uses that passion to help others find what inspires them to be stronger, faster, healthier and happier in their own skin. «When you figure out what truly motivates and inspires you, exercise becomes something to help you get there, rather then a chore and weight loss comes naturally.»

Rachel is also certified in injury prevention and correction through NASM CES and FMS. Whatever your fitness goals, Rachel will help you get there safely and efficiently and you might just find a new appreciation for your body and all it can do!
