Description

Specialties

I teach piano, drum, and music composition lessons to students of all ages.

I generally start piano as early as 6 and drumset as early as 8. (There are exceptions).

For students younger than that, I teach fun introduction to music lessons focusing on rhythm, basic note reading, and instrument knowledge.

History

Established in 2006.

Mitchell Fund has been teaching music in the King County area for over 8 years. He has taught at elementary schools, college campuses, and music schools in Seattle, Maple Valley, Auburn, Kent and Redmond.

He has taught students ranging from age 4 to 70 piano, drums, songwriting, music theory, and classical composition. Many of his students have gone from knowing almost nothing about music to performing in Venues across Seattle — both classical and contemporary.

Hello there!

Music is fun, so why should music lessons be any different? When I teach, we start with the basics and move our way up through a core program of skills, techniques, and songs. Mean while, we can learn songs that the students want to learn and work on goals that students themselves set, (such as getting in a band or playing a certain song). This keeps music lessons enjoyable and also keeps them from getting stagnant. Each lesson changes based on what the student wants.

I teach all-ages. I have taught from age 6 to age 60. Anyone can learn to play an instrument!

Many adults seem to think that learning a new instrument is only for the kids, however, it’s never to late to learn a new instrument. I have adults who, after lessons, now play in rock bands and can play beautiful classical music.

I offer a free introductory lesson, so why don’t you give me a call and you can see if my studio is right for you.

Hope to hear from you!
