History

Established in 1945.

Our business was born in 1945 with John Merrill starting a local real estate and insurance company right here in the Rainier Valley. The company was aptly named «John Merrill Real Estate and Insurance.» His son Dave entered the business in 1976 and along with the second generation came a new name «John Merrill and Son Real-​Estate and Insurance.» Twelve years later Dave joined forces with another local agent. The new office was located in Seward Park — just down the street from his original location. Now, in 2014 we discovered it’s a great time to once again start new. Third generation Daniel and Natalie Merrill, have joined the agency and our new name is «Merrill & Merrill Insurance.» We have come full circle and you can now find us at our original location in the Rainier Valley!
