Menchie’s

I was given a gift coupon for Menchie”s and went to the U. Village shop. I had so much fun! I got there about 15 minutes after it opened at 11 a.m., and the proprietor and his employees were glad to help me. The proprietor showed me all the different yogurt flavors, offering me samples of each one, and then showed me the toppings and how they’re categorized.
It was great to get such personal service. There were no other customers in the shop when I arrived, but that doesn’t always mean the people who work in a place are happy to help customers. These folks were. I’ll be back.

We love it here. Always a stop whenever we are at university village! lots of choices!

My favorite froyo joint in Seattle!
I’ve tried Yeti and Zoeyogurt and prefer Menchie’s to both of them. I loved the nuttiness of the graham cracker flavor, and the original tart is on point. Sample cups are out on a tray so you dont have to ask the employees to sample as many as you want :)

The only yogurt shop at University Village I guess. Since there’s mollymoon inside U Village, Menchie’s is no longer crowded like before. But for me, I still go to menchie’s!

I wondered why Molly Moon’s had a line going out the door and then some snd there was hardly anyone at Mensche’s. It was okay. The yogurts didn’t have any significant taste and seemed like it was all the same. Fresh strawberries weren’t sweet. It was expensive and not worth a second trip. I’ll keep looking for a flavorful and popular yogurt shop in Seattle to frequent.

There are few deals that beat Menchie’s Friday night special. From 9−11pm, you can pile as much frozen yogurt and toppings into a cup for only $ 5, regardless of weight. If you haven’t experienced the excitement of building a tower of goodness and sharing it with friends, then put Menchie’s on the calendar. It is well worth a try!
Menchie’s offers a variety of flavors and even more toppings. Their creamy peanut butter option is especially delicious.

Menchie’s has an awesome $ 5 deal every Friday from 9pm-​11pm. You can seriously get as many flavors and toppings as you want! Tonight we fed seven people with one $ 5 bowl.
Always get the waffle cone. It doesn’t cost more, and it helps you get a taller tower of delectable yogurt and toppings.
Most of the tart/​fruit flavors are gross, but the vanilla snow, creamy peanut butter, and honey graham crumble (limited-​time flavor) are amazing!

I came here for dessert after brunch with my sister and niece one weekend as I checked Menchies website if they had no sugar added yogurts. They had even better, low carb yogurt. Well this location didn’t have any that was shown on their website so I went with the low sugar. They had six flavors that day, but cannot remember what they were. The cups are one size and you fill your cup with as much or little yogurt and toppings then it it weighed. You pay by weight. They have a good variety of toppings and syrups. It’s a cute place and draws plenty of kids and adults.
The only thing that bothered me is that they do not recycle their spoons. So we ended up taking our spoons home since they are sturdy, reuseable and super cute.
They have nice tall tables near the windows so you can people watch while eating your frozen treat.

Anything with cake batter frozen yogurt deserves five stars. The location was great, there was a nice mix of flavors of yogurt, the toppings were extremely fresh, and the person working was nice. The only thing that would have been better would be free water. I’ve seen this at other locations and it’s a nice extra.

I have had my fair share of frozen yogurt and Menchie’s is about average. The yogurt is not as frozen and solid as it could be. Despite melting fast, they have a good variety of flavors. I was not a fan of a lot of the flavors unfortunately, but vanilla was good as always. The toppings did not seem fresh as some were slightly stale. The price is a little higher than most frozen yogurt places. Overall, it is a good fix for a sweet treat.

I love going into this store. The staff a very friendly and they have the toppings I love. I will be back for more.

loaded with coconut flakes, peanuts and granola, gotta get the crunch, eh? oh I didnt forget my kiwis and strawberries :) fresh, cut nicely.
On Friday happy hours, just for 2 hours u can load them up for flat $ 5!!! wonder if I get that back home…

Amazing flavors and so many to choose from. And… the toppings are unreal, there are so many its hard to choose. Clean place with friendly staff great for kids or a date night. Love Menchies, especially this location.

As far as Frozen Yogurt places go, Menchies has better options for Froyo compared to Yogurtland. Now that Molly Moons has opened right next door though I fear for their livelihood.
Menchies froyo flavors are decadent and remind me of real ice cream flavors. Some of which include: Heath Bar, Cake Batter, Oreos and cream, etc. Children will not know the difference. The line is also quite a bit shorter and faster compared to Molly Moons.
Most places don’t offer fresh bananas (because they brown so quickly) but the high volumes of traffic and quick turnover of goods allows Menchies to offer fresh bananas … a pretty spectacular offering for those of us like me who enjoy making banana-​split-​esque froyo treats.
Great little place for a delicious and quick treat in the u-​village area.

We walked buy and were a little skeptical, especially since they seemed to rely on color changing spoon as a gimmick to drive up business. Turns out they had lots of good flavors, well labeled allergy information (lots of gluten free options), and all the toppings you’d be hoping for. Good stuff.

Okay, I can explain.
I know Menchie’s should be a shame fest for any self-​respecting foodie or for a parent for that matter, given a myriad of sane reasons. Its too sweet. What’s with the crazy dance-​party looking alien mascot? Why do they offer my kids all those super sugary toppings? Animal cookies and gummy worms ?!? When did fro yo become an acceptable meal replacement?
I want to hate Menchie’s just to keep my street cred intact. Sadly, I like it. (Blushing…)
I tell myself its because I have a kid, and by putting fruit on top at least we are getting a single serving of fruit in. I tell myself its better than ice cream, but to be honest, besides a few calories, I’m not sure. I tell myself my kid needs an afternoon snack, but when she’s bouncing with sugar energy, I’m not sure I’m going to win any parenting awards. I tell myself if I would have just had this franchising idea first, my life would consist of beaches and white sand.
But the truth is, I’m here again because it tastes good and I like it. I like my free sample tastes, even if I already know (true confession time) what that flavor tastes like. I love their too sweet flavors like Cake Batter, and Peaches, and Dole Pineapple Whip. I love the fresh fruit, kiwi and mango I don’t have to cut up myself. Okay, and while I like fruit, I also like my sugar-​bomb boba to go with it. Oh, and maybe a pump of marshmallow sauce.

I’ve tried before to convince myself that I was too cool for this place. But, I’m not. Hey, no judgement. With all these neon colors, Menchie’s is officially a snark-​free zone. So, if you need to find me, I may be happily geeking out at a Menchies with Dole Whip fro-​yo with fresh mango, kiwi and a handful of pink boba, full of chagrin, and happiness.

Menchie’s, you been breaking my heart lately.
Flavors: The smallest assortment of flavors I have seen with the three locations. Nothing caught my eye.
Location: Great location in the UVillage, but that also means it is filled with da kiddos and the seating is fairly limited.
Toppings: The usual. Nothing stood out as wonderful.
Sample cups! Do you even have to ask.
Basically, three stars because I really like froyo and Menchie’s as a chain.

The spoons are fun… And they leave sample cups out for your taking/​tasting. And the male employee was professional and courteous. But that’s about all the positives I can think of.
I always try the plain/​tart to judge how good a froyo place is. Their plain/​tart was strange. Like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Gold standard is still Yogorino in San Francisco. Rich, creamy, and sophisticated.
Menchie’s is not it.
But will probably do as a treat for the little ones.

Not my favorite fro-​yo chain, but decent. They have a variety of toppings but I wish they had more of a fruit selection. The flavors never seem terribly all that exciting, and my taro didn’t really taste like taro. But that was a one-​off. Strawberry tastes like strawberry, woohoo!
Prices are a bit high, even for the overpriced fro-​yo genre. Still, it’s a delightful treat and I like this place better than Red Mango, which is the other fro-​yo place in the mall.

Not as good as Yogurtland for several reasons.
One is that the price is slightly higher than Yogurtland. Here is 44 cents per oz. At Yogurtland, it is 33 — 39 cents per ounce.
Second is that the flavors are not as good in my person opinion. I would only incline to try one or two flavors here at Menchie’s after several visits. However, at Yogurtland, I would be more willing to try different flavors. I think, personally, the flavors here just don’t really work for me. But they do have more toppings than Yogurtland, if I remember correctly.
Third is that I have never seen Menchie’s doing any kind of promotions. I have seen Yogurtland offers check-​in discount and accepts other paper coupons, but not really (if ever) for Menchie’s.
Now I sound like a spokesperson for Yogurtland! I guess what I am trying to say is that personally I favor other fro-​yo places and this one is not my personal favorite. If I am in the area, I would perhaps still stop by here occasionally.
