I highly recommend working with Matt Miner in purchasing your next home! My husband and I were looking for a home in Seattle for almost a year (unsuccessfully) with another agent before working with Matt. Matt was able to put our minds at ease throughout the entire process. Despite being busy (any good agent is), he was readily available and made us feel like valued clients. He has an excellent knowledge of the neighborhoods in Seattle and helped us to understand exactly what we were looking for in a home and then found it for us! Anyone will tell you that buying a home in Seattle right now is highly competitive and the process can be physically and emotionally exhausting. Matt is highly skilled at navigating the competitive Seattle market and knows what it will take to get your offer accepted and make it to closing.

We met Matt by happenstance in the summer of 2015 via mutual personal interest. So we knew him more as a friend first and realtor second. My wife and I moved to Seattle in 2014 and had worked with several realtors who all seemed to disappoint. Each seemed to have their own agenda, and we quickly stopped our home search and put the whole thing on hold. What turned out to be frustrating event in our life worked out in the end, because of Matt.
Matt spent time getting to know us, understand who we are, our interests and life plans. not just because of our interest, but because this is his process. This really helped his advise on such a great city with many unique offerings in very niche neighborhoods. This is much more than many others we worked with who were very pushy about where we needed to be based on a quick assessment of who we were and where we moved from.
To purchase in this city is not easy, its a rapidly growing market with high demand, and emotions run high. Matt spent the time preparing us for what we could expect from the market and helping to set the stage for in the bidding process. His advise was straight forward, fact based and rationalized. Hard to do in a inflated market and yet another trait others don’t employ and should.
We got to work, Matt worked on our calendars and agenda and worked tirelessly to show us homes and offer endless advise on neighborhoods. We put out a few bids and were rejected, ultimately gave up after months of tough losses. We settled on not doing anything and not being able to deal with another disappointment.
Matt brought us back to regroup, he knew what we wanted and was determined to not let us give up. he suggested we look more broadly at an opportunity in a changing neighborhood. We were reluctant at first, but went to look at a house a little outside of our search parameters. So glad we did.
We purchased the house a month later and me, my wife and new baby are so happy! Without Matt’s help and very supportive approach we would not have our lovely home. I highly recommend Matt. I have worked with many realtors in the past, none like him. You will not be disappointed.

What can I say, buying a house for the first time is a scary ordeal, especially in Seattle. The Seattle housing market is so competitive and can be stressful to find the perfect home. I found my place after more than half year’s of search. Matt was always there for me, he never pushed me, always accommodated my crazy schedule, helped me preselect houses that I might like and show me around, and encourage me to keep looking when I got frustrated of the searching process. We found Matt through a neighbor’s recommendation, and boy were we glad! Two first time home buyers, moving to a new city, with absolutely not idea what we were doing in either pursuit. What could go wrong?
Luckily, Matt knew exactly what he was doing. We can’t have been the easiest clients to work with, but he was patient, understanding, and knowledgeable.
Matt possesses a rare intuition that will make him your own personal home-​buying clairvoyant. Even if you can’t properly articulate what you are looking for, he has an uncanny ability to pick up on the smallest signals to help you find your perfect fit. You always feel like you’re his only client — always accessible through phone, text, email, or even in person.
When it became time to put in an offer, we were never nervous, even though there were multiple offers already. Matt knows exactly how to package an offer, and did all the work for us so we never had to stress.
He is very personable, funny, and honest. Instead of seeking the quick sale, he taught us which features of the homes we visited were actually valuable vs just «nice to haves», or when houses that seemed nice upon the first impression might not grow in value as fast as he wanted for us. Even when we bought the home, he followed up with us to make sure that we were happy.
We started our search in February, and finally moved into our new home in October. We couldn’t be happier with our choice, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Matt’s help!

My overall review for Matt is that he is a knowledgeable, no-​pressure, incredibly dedicated relator who made the home buying process far easier than I was expecting. He also has a great sense of humor that will keep you entertained during the process.
I met him in the spring after he was highly recommended to me. I told Matt I couldn’t buy until November, but even with the long time frame he suggested we start looking at places almost weekly right off the bat. He would pick me up after work or on the weekend, whatever schedule worked for me, and we would see several places. We narrowed down the neighborhoods and buildings I liked so that when the time came I could make a quick (important in this market) and confident decision. He offered many honest insights, such as what to look for in a well-​run condo building. He wouldn’t shy away from telling me if he didn’t think a particular building or unit was for me. When the time came closer to actually buying a condo, he assisted me in getting set up with a mortgage company, who turned out to be excellent as well. When I was ready to make an offer, he went above and beyond getting everything set up and working with me to make an offer I would be happy with. He was honest with what would be a successful offer in this market and what concessions were reasonable. He even took care of the inspection for me when I had to be away.
Perhaps what speaks the most to his dedication was his follow through after I purchased the condo. Rather than move on now that his job was done, he helped me get set up with movers, a painter, and a contractor. He made recommendations on what were easy fixes and what might be a little more involved and how much they might cost. When a broken window handle to my Juliet balcony was missed by the inspector, he found a repair man himself at his cost and sent his assistant to my condo with him so that I didn’t have to miss work. He continues to be available to answer my questions, which is really helpful to a first time home buyer.
If you are looking for a dedicated, friendly, knowledgeable relator with the skills to get you your house in a competitive market, I cannot recommend Matt Miner any higher. He has made the home buying processes so easy that moving and unpacking was harder than actually purchasing a home.

During our relocation to Seattle from the Bay Area we talked to many realtors and had a long list of criteria we were looking for. We have worked with inexperienced/​new realtors in the past and received the expected results (aka ‘mediocre’.) After an exhaustive search we landed with Matt. Along with great experience and referrals Matt was very open, sincere, and approachable. After 2 purchases and months later we are so happy with our decision!
Our first purchase was an investment property which was a 1031 exchange. Matt was great working under the 45 day constraints of the 1031. Although he is always extremely busy he always found the time for us and prioritize us whenever I was in town. He never rushed us into anything and made sure he had done comprehensive research before providing information or recommendations. We won a property that had 8 offers.
Our next purchase was for our primary home. I’m sure most will agree that this is much more challenging! Finding a home with a long list of ‘must haves’ (different list for myself and wife), challenging budget (who doesn’t right?) and in a hot market was a daunting task. Our search was long with many ups and downs. Many times Matt had to play the psychiatrist and manage our sometimes irrational requests/​decisions. Through it all we now realize that he was always looking out for us. We were open to many areas which made it more difficult to pin down the ‘perfect’ home. After months of search we found our dream home! The home had multiple offers after only 2 days on the market. Matt acted quickly and put in a solid offer and we won. The house has everything on our wish list and more! Funny thing is we ended up in the exact neighborhood Matt predicted when we asked him before our search began. We are super excited to move into our new home and enjoy the neighborhood all thanks to Matt. Cannot say enough great things about Matt and have no hesitation in recommending him to our friends and family.

This review is long overdue– My husband and I were in search for an investment property for a 1031 exchange earlier this Spring. In addition, a primary home would follow for our small family. After exhausting interviews with Seattle realtors, we were ready to settle with one until we found Matt. I’m a strong believer in researching before committing, so we resorted to Unilocal and found Matt. As a social media business owner, I was impressed with his online presence (many realtors don’t bother when they should). Coming from the Bay Area, we understood that the Seattle market was just as hot and were ready to strike when the right opportunity arose. After touring numerous investment properties, we secured a nice property in Magnolia within the allotted 1031 exchange time-​frame. Matt advised us on sound neighborhoods that would bring us positive cash flow.
Impressed with Matt’s ability, follow up and expertise we continued our search for our primary home. We had a difficult wish list like every family home buyer seeks, but he understood us and worked hard to achieve our goal. Matt realized the challenges for out of town investors, but assured us that he was our advocate. Mr. Miner researched the area of homes we prioritized, studied comps, FaceTimed us and/​or produced videos of home walk-​throughs and drove around the neighborhoods to give us an idea of the area. Again, looking out for us he advised us on which neighborhoods would best suit our family and my particular needs. He made his preference apparent and never discouraged us, again guiding us for our best interest in areas, homes and price points. Ultimately it’s a numbers game too and be prepared to be competitive for the desired homes!
Patience paid off and we recently secured a beautiful studs-​out renovated craftsman in Wedgwood. The most impressive thing is his quick and thorough work. We viewed the home in the morning and wrote an offer in a few hours. The house received four offers on its second day on the market and we won it without touching our escalator. As my husband says, «Matt you are a genius!»
We are closing in a couple of days and he has continually walked us through the entire process and continually checks in. The sale doesn’t end when your offer gets accepted, it continues after close. Matt has been stellar in the entire process and provided us excellent recommendations on financing firms etc.

We are relocating to Seattle from Indianapolis, and the first realtor we talked to told us it was «virtually impossible» to buy a home in Seattle without living there (due to the market conditions) and made it pretty clear that she didn’t want to put the effort into working with us. We’d heard horror stories about people putting in 7 offers on places before finally getting a house, and we were feeling pretty downtrodden about purchasing before our move.
Several friends recommended that we speak with Matt. He didn’t sugarcoat the fact that we were coming into a competitive market and would have to be prepared to act quickly on properties we were interested in, especially being out of state, but it was clear he was willing to do the work. He presented us with clear strategies for how to handle our search from afar. When we saw homes that piqued our interest, he would visit in person and either FaceTime us from the house or video the properties. He helped arrange a last-​minute trip out to see a place we thought looked promising, and made sure to make good use of the time in town by lining up over a dozen other properties to see (and compare to). Well, long story short, we put in an offer on the first place we saw in person, and thanks to Matt’s great counsel, our offer was accepted in a highly-​competitive situation.
Even after the closing, Matt’s remained involved in helping with the details of our move, including providing contacts for some work we needed done at the house and even meeting workers at the property since we haven’t relocated yet. He’s been a great resource, a hard worker and a wonderful guy to work with. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

My husband and I are out-​of-​state investors who contacted Matt after seeing his stellar reviews on Unilocal.We were in search of an investment property in Seattle, WA. After a fabulous initial consult via phone, we decided to move forward with Matt. Everything went downhill from there. Long story short, there was a lack of communication and detail on his part. Being out-​of-​state investors, we wanted some structure and timelines, as we were flying out to Seattle to view properties. We understand that he’s a busy guy, but he should be more forthcoming about his ability (or inability) to take on new clients.
We decided to part ways and hired a different realtor. With the help of this new realtor, we made an offer on a great property and are now in the closing phase.
Tip — Matt referred us to his buddy, a female mortgage broker. Fortunately we declined this offer and opted to work with a different broker. This helped make our separation smoother. We may have felt compelled to work with him otherwise.

First, Matt is just a really great guy who operates with a level of honesty and integrity rarely seen from someone in sales — and yes, realtors are sales people… certainly not the same type as you might find on a used car lot, but sales people nonetheless. That said, Matt always operated with OUR best interests in mind, even when that meant we didn’t move forward on properties where he would have benefited from healthy commissions, but he believed weren’t the best options for US.
When we contacted him, we were in the process of relocated from the Bay Area so viewing properties was challenging. He would preview properties for us, walk through them while facetiming us so that we didn’t have to continue flying back and forth. He was ALWAYS highly responsive and accessible. When we traveled to town, he spent a lot of time learning about us so he could target neighborhoods and specific property types that would match our style and needs. Then he spent a considerable amount of time touring us around the city and introducing us to the different neighborhoods. We had a specific building we fell in love with but that didn’t have anything available. Matt sent letters to all of the owners alerting them that he had clients who were interested in buying. He received several responses from his efforts and I am thrilled to report that we have just closed on our dream condo… an off-​market deal that would not have happened if it were not for Matt’s «above and beyond» efforts.
Anyone fortunate to work with Matt will never want to work with any other realtor — EVER. I have had my share of experience with realtors… at the same time that I was purchasing our new place in Seattle, I was selling a home in San Francisco and a condo in Oakland. I was working with three different realtors at the same time… and although the realtors I used in the Bay Area were experienced «Top Performers» at the «Top» agencies, they were simply «ok» compared with my experience with Matt. He has now spoiled us :-)

Great agent that pulls out the stops for you. The guy knows Seattle and was able to narrow down the list of homes we were interested in over the course of a week. We found our new home in three weeks — much faster than anticipated.

Two words: SUPER Agent! We had a couple of unfortunately events in our lives that necessitated us to short-​sale our condominium. Out of the several agents’ reviews that we read, Matt’s shines out; in particular, someone wrote that he’s a Short Sale God, and indeed he is. Our short sale situation suffered from additional complications due to a very terrible mortgage company. The only reason the sale was successful was because Matt is very persistent in his follow-​ups. Not only that, he also constantly updated us of the progress and took his time to explain us the situation.

As a first time home buyer completely new to the process, Matt really took me under his experienced wings and helped me find the perfect property in a great neighborhood. Naturally, the one I chose was a short sale, so him being an expert in that field really saved me some time and money when negotiating all the intricate details of a 3 month transaction.
Matt was very responsive in getting back to me with questions, which I really value. I don’t like waiting around for information. Matt’s knowledge of real estate far surpassed my expectations of working with such a young, energetic guy. I recently moved from Hawaii to Seattle, and Matt was truly exceptional in helping me find my new home, negotiate my home, and finance my home. We looked at 10 locations the first day, 5 more the second before we found the two I liked best. He asks questions to figure out exactlty what you want, then goes to work negotiating on your behalf. He expertly negotiated my purchase, getting me a few extras and politely refusing unfair counteroffers. While working with my financial processors, he was adept at keeping the paperwork flowing as fast as possible, using modern electronic databasing to get my property found and closed in 40 days, a remarkable feat! One month after closing, he is still periodically checking in on me to see how I am transitioning and if I have had any problems, he truly cares!
