Lisa Orth Custom Tattooing

Incredible human. Incredible work. She books really far out so schedule a meeting, have a concept and be prepared to wait a month or more before you get in for your first sit. Look at her work –it speaks for itself. She’s incredible.

Everything everyone else has said is true, you guys. Lisa is amazing. This was a very different tattoo experience. She’s got the heart and soul part of tattooing down pat, along with the skills. What an awesome, talented lady! I could not be happier!

Lisa is the shit!!! I’m from out of town so I set my appointment up via email and she was very clear and responsive throughout our emails!
I had never met her or been to her shop, she gave me instructions on how to find the place and the minute I walked into her shop I felt welcomed and very comfortable. As a tattoo artist Lisa is very clear and communicative. Even though I already have tattoos she still was letting me know that she could place the stencil as many times as we need! (But it was perfect the first try!)
During my tattoo (I got a piece on my calf) she kept checking in to make sure I wasn’t hurtin and that everything was going good. Also, I was tattooed on a massage chair, it was comfortable!
She was also very personable and I got to hang out with her adorable dog too! The space is awesome, she was awesome, and most importantly my tattoo came out AMAZING! Exactly how I wanted it and even better than I imagined!
She is talented but also has a great attitude. The best experience I’ve had being tattooed. Can’t wait to go back!

Hadn’t had a new tattoo in over a decade. I had been researching for some time and came across Lisa and her work. Let’s say I fell in love with her work and knew that she was the one!
From the original consultation to the actual appointment I was impressed. She is fun, funny and a damn good artist. My tattoo is amazing! A custom and one of the kind piece of Amazing! I am already thinking about what I want to do next!

I had a simple design I really wanted, and sometimes I can be timid, nervous and picky. Like when I’m getting ink put into my forearm that will be there for the rest of my life. Ink that is the Quake 1 video game logo, with my alias «EVOL» underneath.
Let’s just say Lisa is as good as it gets. When my wife and I have more spending money, we plan on helping Lisa put her future adopted children through college (after our own kids, of course)

I got my first tattoo with my sister from Lisa Orth and she books like 5 months out in advance. I had to reschedule once, but I finally got it done in May. We talked to her about designs via email (I would’ve like to have done it in person) and she isn’t very responsive. But don’t let that deter you! (I was a bit put off about it, especially since I hadn’t gotten a tattoo before). We ended up finalizing the design day of, which once again, is not my way of doing things. BUT Lisa’s «bedside manner» is awesome! She puts you at ease, walks you through all the steps, and is 100% genuine. We were with her for over 3 hours, and I never felt uneasy or apprehensive. Plus our tattoo is awesome :) Definitely would recommend her for a newbie. The 5 month wait is worth it!

I walked in very excited about getting a tattoo or getting my ideas heard since they have amaizing reviews however when I walked in I spoke with LISA about what I wanted done and she interrupted me and said she’s booked till September so I had to talk to TARA who heard my talk without looking up at me. After that mess, Lisa told me that I can schedule an appointment with Tara for Thursday. Instantly she requested $ 50 cash or credit! No one paid close attention to me so why on earth would I leave a deposit!
First you meet the customer, talk about ideas then and only then do you request a deposit and appointment!

I got my first tattoo from Lisa today and I have decided that she is my person. There are so many things wonderful about her so I’ll try to list all of it: super easy going, I had NO nervousness, my tattoo was exactly what I wanted even when I didn’t know what i wanted going into it, she was patient with me while we were corresponding about the artwork, her shop is clean and cozy, she prepared me before we started and walked me through what to expect and told me pain coping tips, she made me feel super comfortable and she’s just lovely all around.
I also, like many of these other people researched and slowly looked for a tattoo artist. She was booked out, so I basically waited to get a tattoo for 3 – 4 months (mostly because I had to reschedule once) and it was worth it and gave me time to think about it. Love her and my tattoo. She’s one of my new favorite people.

After years of dreaming of a tattoo and countless hours of researching, I made the plunge to get some body art. And boy am I glad Lisa’s name kept coming up, over and over and over and over again.
There’s nothing to be said about her that hasn’t been said already: amazing, extremely talented, hilarious, gracious, welcoming, LEGENDARY… Did I mention she is extremely talented? We worked on a custom piece and she took all the thoughts that were flying through my head, nailed them on paper and made them a thousand times better. She is a true artist and freaking magical. Make your appointment now and trust in her. You will be beyond happy!

I have had some lovely tattoo experiences in my time, but I think Lisa is the best! She did a wonderful job developing my amateurish sketch into a full-​blown piece of art. She was really good at identifying the important elements and creating a cohesive piece that looked aMAZing on my arm, and she never made me feel rushed or pressured. She’s the kind of awesome person you want to hang out with, even when you’re not getting tattooed. I am SO STOKED about the way it came out, it just looks amazing. I cannot say enough great things about Alleged Tattoo.

Lisa gave me my first tattoo and I had a fantastic experience. Lisa is very approachable. I immediately felt at ease, which is important when you’re about to have a permanent image drawn on your skin with needles.
I find it helpful to hear details about the logistics and how things work with these kinds of experiences, so here’s how it played out for me:
I did research on tattoo artists and found Lisa, so I emailed her with some info about what I was looking for. Within a few days, she emailed me back with feedback about what would be realistic and possible. After a couple email exchanges, I decided to move forward so I paid a $ 50 deposit through her website and she reserved an appointment time for me (the deposit goes toward the final cost when you pay for the tattoo).
On my appointment day, we looked at pictures and she quickly edited some sketches until I was satisfied (my tattoo is small and straightforward – so this worked for me).
She took time making sure I was happy with placement and then we got started on the tattooing. Throughout the process she chatted with me and others in the room and often checked in to make sure I was doing okay. It took maybe 45 minutes. At the end she gave me thorough aftercare instructions.
After about a week she emailed me to see how healing was going. I told her my concerns and she gave me advice. It was great to have that follow up.
Today I had my free touch up. I was a little nervous, honestly, because I didn’t want her to think I didn’t try to properly care for my tattoo – and I had some trouble with healing so it lost some color. But she was nice as usual and re-​added a bunch more color. And you know what I really appreciated? Even though it had been two months since I got the tattoo, she knew who I was and knew what concerns I had had during healing. She either has a great memory or took the time to look at our email exchanges before meeting with me again.
She books up with appointments, so be prepared to wait a few weeks or a month to see her. It’s worth it though! I will be going back for my second tattoo.

Lisa is the bomb. Is anyone still saying «the bomb?» If not, please replace with whatever term conjures amazing awesomeness. Her work is fabulous and her energy is contagious. She instantly puts you at ease and is a total pro. Not having a boatload of tattoos, it has been intimidating finding an artist that I clique with. I wholeheartedly believe in Lisa’s work ethic and moral compass… she is no tat shop douchebag. AND… she is a true artist. She rendered a cartoon for me that came out even better than I envisioned it. And her choice and input on colors made it even better!
I will most definitely return as I am so impressed with the two pieces she created for me. BEYOND pleased that I now feel I have a tattoo artist of my own… OK, we can share her…

I just got home from getting my tattoo from Lisa and boy was it a fantastic experience!
Lisa was absolutely amazing and so kind. She chatted with my friend and I throughout the entire process and was very concerned with my welfare and looked out for me the entire time. This was better than what I ever could have hoped for for a first tattoo experience. She was so efficient without sacrificing any of the quality of the tattoo and just an absolute pleasure to be around. I was so relaxed that I totally zoned out of the actual tattoo (and the pain) because I was having such a great time. She is also incredibly professional and has an art background, not just tattooing experience.
I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great artist who is ALSO a great person and who will put you totally at ease throughout your whole tattoo experience!

Lisa was amazing to work with. I had been planning a trip to Seattle, and around the same time finally decided that I was ready to get the half sleeve of flowers that I had been thinking about for a few years. I was living in Michigan at the time, and was on the verge of moving out to the New England area… so basically I did lots of research and a silly amount of portfolio checking, all over the midwest and New England (including NYC)…and came across Lisa and her incredible portfolio and amazing reviews.
I was lucky enough to be able to get an appointment during the dates I was to be in Seattle! Lisa was great to work with in the planning stages, and I LOVE that I had the opportunity to see and work with the design a little bit before actually getting the tattoo done. I always have a hard time just showing up and jumping in to the tattoo without having a couple of days to think about it. I mean… it’s permanent, right? Shouldn’t I get to think it over a bit? Lisa’s right on the mark with that — I don’t understand why this isn’t a more common practice. The tattoo that Lisa designed was amazing, and exactly what I was looking for and had tried to describe to her through an email with lots of descriptions and photos.
Anyway, the tattoo — I sat for 5 hours, and Lisa was awesome the whole way through, checking in to see if I was okay, needed a break, water… and even fed me chocolate. (Win.) She was fun to talk to, very down to earth. I enjoyed being at the studio with her and the apprentices that she works with. She took photos of it afterward and emailed them to me — also above and beyond. (If you look at the photos attached to this page, you can see where I uploaded a front/​side/​back-​view composite of the photos she took of my tattoo.)
I get compliments on the tattoo literally nearly every day, and people always want to know where I got it done. Most are pretty disappointed when they find out that the artist is in Seattle… I almost feel a little guilty for being the cause of so many dashed hopes. ;) The tattoo fits my arm beautifully and it couldn’t be more perfect for me. :)
Once I come around to thinking about my next tattoo, I bet I’ll be trying to figure out a way to get back out to see Lisa in Seattle. Best tattooing experience ever, hands down.

Lisa is so awesome! I went to her with a difficult coverup that required a lot of creativity and careful planning, and I was also on a time constraint, and she made it all work; she was happy and excited to do it!
She is incredibly professional and pleasant to work with, she really listened to me and she made sure that we communicated throughout the entire process. She keeps her shop perfectly clean and organized and comfortable which I really appreciate.

I know a lot of Lisa’s business comes word of mouth, so hear these words from my mouth: GET TATTOOED BY LISA ORTH!
I’ve now had two tattoos done by Lisa (my first and second) and I couldn’t possibly be happier with the experience. She really goes the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with your tattoo, emailing you the design for feedback and then making changes until you are completely happy with your tattoo. Her custom pieces are excellent! I went in both times with kind of a vague idea of what I wanted and she managed to completely capture what I didn’t even know I was looking for!
Lisa is very sweet and welcoming, and her laid-​back, goofy manner will totally put you at ease. She’ll also keep you completely informed throughout the process, which is especially helpful if you’re new to getting tattooed. (this ink vs that ink, what different needle groupings mean and do, what will hurt more, what is realistic detail-​wise for a particular tattoo, what the healing process will look like, etc.)
Lisa also has a very light touch with the needle, which is great since I’m a big ol’ sissy.
I will most definitely continue to be a return customer.

Finally saved up the money for my tattoo and I’ve got to say– Lisa has won me over through and through, the whole experience was amazing. I’m now a Lisa Orth canvas for life!!!

Lisa’s awesome in all ways. I’ve had the idea of getting No Face from Spirited Away floating off of my arm in my head for the last three years and finally decided to get it done. Lisa went as far as to do extensive research on Noface and the different philosophical interpretations on him in order to get a good idea of things, which blew my mind. When something like that has been in your head for 3 years, you have high expectations especially when it’s your first tattoo, and holy crap. Those expectations were exceeded in every way; I can’t stop staring at it and enjoying it.
It was my first tattoo, so I asked a lot of questions and she had the nicest and most interesting answers. She makes her own guns, knows so much about tattoos technically-​speaking and what happens to your skin, and it was just a really perfect experience.
I couldn’t ask for more, and you’d be lucky to have her art your skin up. Awww yeah.

Lisa is one of those Seattle legends thats had her hands into more than you’ll ever know, but is also one of the least pretentious people you could ever meet. Once she sets her mind to something, not only does she get it done she gets it done well — and it all shows in her work. I have a small collection of tattoo’s from different artists that I’ve done my homework on, also working at tattoo expos in the past has left me somewhat of a tattoo snob.
My first tattoo experience with Lisa was in her old place of employment and then a second in her new and improved tattoo studio. Both experiences left nothing to complain about. When it finally came time to get work done we went back and forth about a million times (aka each time I decided I wanted it «just a little different») until it was perfect. She worked at a great pace but made sure she was meticulous with the lines. The 2^nd time I visited her was just a touch up appointment to fill in any black lost in healing. She keeps everything super clean and follows the health codes to a T. She is a talented artist, both with pen and gun, and has a great personality making it a super pleasant experience. I cant wait to save up and get my next one!
PS not a day goes by I dont get stopped and asked about my work everywhere I travel :)

Lisa has done six tattoos for me now, I refuse to believe she is human but instead am convinced she’s some sort of cosmic conglomeration of magical particles, the skin of dead rockstars, and Andy Warhol’s retinas. She’s most likely immune to bullets so don’t try to stop her creative genius with any conventional means.
Tell her the idea of what you want but let her design it, you’ll never be dissapointed.
