Description

Specialties

Whether you are wanting therapy for anxiety, depression, career issues, a troubled relationship, or something more, I am here to help guide you through what keeps you stuck, so that you can live a life that is vibrant, satisfying and enjoyable.

I work with individuals, couples and family members. I treat trauma of all kinds, and offer support for those going through difficult transitions. Whatever brings you in, however it makes you feel, I look forward to meeting you there.

History

Established in 2012.

I opened my practice in the fall of 2012 after relocating to Seattle from Los Angeles, where I completed my degree and began my training. My studies there included a specialization in Spiritual & Depth psychology, which focused on Jungian-based depth psychology, mindfulness meditation as a therapeutic tool, and using art to discover the delightful and informative inner workings of the psyche. In the last year, I began to incorporate specialized trauma treatments into my practice, such as EMDR, as well as advanced methods in Couples Therapy. Prior to my relocation, I treated a diversity of clients in a non-profit clinic in Culver City, CA.

Meet the Business Owner

Lindsey W.

Business Owner

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who came to the field of psychology through the practices of yoga, meditation and art. Seeing how observing your mind in all of its forms can change it for the better, I dove into psychology and fell in love with the processes (and results) of owning and honoring the parts of us that don’t always feel so good. Whether you call it shadow work, soul retrieval, or being ok with feeling just plain shitty, this work has merit – the kind of value that can truly change a life.

Also a writer, I have compiled an easy-to-read ebook for partners of trauma survivors. It’s called «Love Over Trauma» and is available on Amazon.com. Additionally, I created a blog called «Waking the Image» that is meant to explain common psychological phenomena in a creative, unexpected way.

I volunteer with the Alliance Community Psychotherapy Clinic, and donate reduced-rate services to struggling artists and musicians.
