I am giving this 5 stars for everyone but Travis, who I believe may be a manager.
I came in as a walk in, and I had already picked out which prescription sunglasses I wanted online. I found them on the wall and then turned and asked the nearest associate to me (Naomi) a question about insurance. She was already helping another lady pick out glasses, but she answered my question with kindness, and then brought me over to the desk to ask someone (Travis) if he or another girl could help get me set up with these glasses. I knew this was because I had interrupted her helping another customer, so she couldn’t help us both. She asked him if someone could help me, and he snarkily said back, «Here’s a novel idea, YOU could help her. Wouldn’t that be crazy?» She never lost her cool, she just found me a sweet girl (Maddie) to get me all set up. I was so angry for her though. Travis-​that was a dick move. That was so embarrassing to watch him treat Naomi like that, and I believe he was also the manager on duty. Naomi knew why she needed to find me another associate, *I* knew why she needed to find me another associate, but HE quickly jumped to a very rude conclusion and it was so unprofessional to belittle her like that right in front of me, a customer.
For review purposes, my prescription sunglasses were ready in just over an hour which was amazing. Also they were completely covered by my insurance. My regular eye place I would have owed $ 214 on top of insurance, so this was a very welcome surprise. I’m super happy with my purchase and cannot believe they were ready so quickly!
So to Naomi, Maddie, Lydia, and Lizz.-you guys are rockstars. Travis-​I hope you’re embarrassed for yourself.

Excellent customer service, especially when I got my glasses’ prescription updated. I made an appointment for an eye exam to update contact lenses and glasses in December 2015/​January 2016. The optometrist was really nice, professional, and the wait time was short.
Love that they are open on weekends. I had frames already, and they did a great job updating the prescription. My contact lenses were a little cheaper than I expected.

Drop-​off: As advertised walk-​ins are welcome and attended to immediately. I had made a point to call for a price quote as I am bringing in the frames from a different place. This interaction is the main reason why I am rating 3 stars instead of 5. The overall interaction was condescending and unnecessary. The associate assisting me made remarks on how the frames I purchased were not sturdy. He also commented «wish me luck on correcting these frames» as he proceeded to change the fitting. He offered the insurance for the lenses, however from past experience I never found the need for the insurance. I have also lost a pair of glasses purchased from Lenscrafters with insurance. Unfortunately, they only cover damaged. His comment was «well if you are willing to pay full price for replacement lenses.» The final comment was «these online stores sometimes do not provide people with the right fit.» I physically bought the frames from a legitimate establishment and not online. The associate took his time to accurately measure sights and ensure centered markings on the lenses. I’ll give him credit, he was very thorough and precise in his process.
Pick-​up: The experience was night and day. The associate was much more pleasant to converse with and even complimented on how the frames and lenses looked and fitted. I was provided with a complimentary case and cleaning wipes. I was originally quoted up to 10 business days, however to my surprise it was only 2.
Overall, professionalism goes far in the business world. There are times when customers will select multiple vendors for supplies based on preferences and need. I would have rated LensCrafters a 5 had it not been for the unnecessary condescending side comments regarding my selection and preference of frames.

A-​ok. I am a huge fan of LensCrafters in general, but the customer service at this particular location wasn’t as great as the service I’ve experienced at other locations. The associate who helped me was named Dan… and while I really appreciate candid feedback on how lenses look, I really hated the way he phrased his opinions. For example, «Your cheekbones are too low for those» felt a little rude… maybe he could have said «Lets find a pair that sits higher on your face to highlight your features.» I don’t know. Maybe I’m just too sensitive.
Also, he had to completely re-​run/​re-​quote the price for my glasses and lenses because he forgot to include my insurance… yeah… that’s a pretty important part of purchasing lenses and frames. As is true for all LensCrafters, I feel that the associate properly measured my face and set the lenses up just right. I wear multifocal lenses, so this is very important to me.
PS. If you’re parked by Nordstrom Rack… take the elevator up to the food court level. Take a right towards Auntie Anne’s pretzels and exit the door by T-​Mobile. LensCrafters is there on your left, outside of the mall.

Outstanding customer service here. My consultant Josie was first rate in not only handling my needs, but also working with others during a busy time frame.
I have been here on a few different occasions, and always treated with kindness, and honesty.

Lens crafters is absolutely great for what it is. Their selection is good, however, they are not high end or independent. If you have children though, it’s ridiculous to take them anyplace else. You must purchase the insurance. The kids lenses are almost always in stock, and they understand the need of kids lens is being repaired quickly. If you want independent, local non-​Luxottica products go to one of the new web glasses services.
The only consultant to see at the Northgate LensCrafters is Lizz S. She’s the most knowledgeable and will help you find your perfect frame, educate you about options that may be less expensive and better for you that are not advertised, she’s definitely a customer advocate. On top of that she’s about as sweet as pie.

I had genuinely outstanding service at this LensCrafters, primarily thanks to Lizz, one of their customer service specialists. I’m not sure what her job title is but it should be Glasses Guru because this chick knows her stuff.
I came in with a friend who needed new glasses – he already had a prescription from a previous office visit, so we spent a while trying on frames first and that’s when I saw them: the most tiny perfect pair of Ray Bans I had ever laid eyes on. I couldn’t believe how perfectly small and dainty they were; you see, I have a really small head. Like, almost have to wear children’s glasses. Normal glasses just aren’t made for people as small as me, apparently, so you can only imagine how sunglasses would be even worse given the trend the past few years to buy sunglasses that make you look as much like an insect as possible.
Although we’d already been politely approached and offered help by another employee, when we finally found the perfect frames for my friend and I made the decision that I could no longer live without these prescription Ray Bans, Lizz became an incredibly patient, glasses ordering superhero.
My friend’s insurance situation was complicated – one of those deals where he had to pay all of the cost upfront, fill out paperwork, and get a check from his insurance. Somehow that all got connected to a health savings account. It took a while, I had no idea what any of it mean, and Lizz handled everything like a pro. She explained all of it to him very patiently throwing in the occasional amazing occular knowledge about how our lenses and frames worked and were measured.
Somewhere in there, I mentioned I’d be paying for mine out of pocket and she asked if I had any health insurance because that could get me a discount. When I told her I had Blue Cross, she said not only was there a discount – it would be close to 50% off. Heck yeah! That complicated matters because the day we were in the store was quite literally the last day I was going to have that insurance and I had not brought my prescription with me. Lizz patiently sat through me making at least 5 phone calls to find out the name of the doctor I’d used in another state before I finally realized his office wasn’t open and I’d have to take a bus from Northgate to West Seattle to get the prescription. But naturally, Lizz came to the rescue again by giving me an email address to email a photo of the prescription and my insurance cards rather than coming back to Northgate. She even took my payment information over the phone after I sent the email.
To make this customer service level even more amazing, I told her about how I’d recently gone to a different doctor and gotten a new pair of glasses but they weren’t working as well as my prior prescription and she sat with me and listened to my concerns before explaining what was probably wrong with my new prescription and trouble shooting me through how to fix it. It was really over the top awesome. Now I know that my prescription must be a little off and what to say to the other doctor’s office when I got to get them to repair it.
My friend and I left with more than we came looking for – he’s got a new pair of glasses that actually make him even sexier than he is without, and I’ve got the prescription Ray Bans of dreams. All of this was made possible by an incredibly awesome sales rep. If you’re in here and you’re experiencing some of the frustrating stuff other reviewers have, highly recommend asking for Lizz. She seriously knows whats up.

They fixed my glasses for free, and the customer service was very good. I’ll definitely go back to buy glasses in future.

Busted the nosepiece on my glasses. Walked in here because it was closer to me than my regular optometrist. Friendly technician (Lisa? Lina?) helped me immediately and fixed it and cleaned them for no charge, in and out in less than 10 minutes. Can’t speak to the total lenscrafters experience, but I really appreciate that they’d do that for me. It was driving me craaaazy!

I have had three different people help me — all to simply put new lenses in my old frames. To a person, they could not have been more professional or nicer. Each one has gone out of their way — way above and beyond. Two dealt for HOURS with an insurance snafu, and just now when I showed up 5 minutes past closing, they let me in and took care of me. Really appreciate the customer service from everyone at this store.

The sales rep lied to get me to come to their store then retracted their offer after I came in.
When I called in asking if they accept VSP, their exact words are «We are not in VSP’s network, but we will offer you a discount on top of their out-​of-​network coverage to match them, and you’ll pay the same out of pocket». Don’t believe them if they tell you that.
When I got into the store, I asked them about what they said, and the rep confirmed it. However, he said he cannot give me the exact price until I pick my glasses. Ok sure, I spent 20 minutes picking out the glasses, and took the glasses up to them to pay. The rep told me to sit at a chair and he’ll be with me momentarily. He walked into the office and minded his business for about 10min before he came back out.
Then he ran up the number and asked me to pay. There was no discount on top of VSP’s out of network coverage. I asked him about the discount he mentioned and he denied he said anything like that. Then I asked if I can just buy the frame. He denied selling me just the frame, saying he would have to sell me lens if I want to buy the frame. I was about to walk out when he said he would sell me the frame by itself, but they would not even be able to get VSP’s out of network coverage.
Terrible service, terrible price, and terrible experience overall.

Make absolutely sure that they are in your insurance network BEFORE proceeding with your appointment! Also ask them if you need to PAY UPFRONT for lenses and frames.
After the exam, we proceeded to choose lenses and frames that were really expensive even with their“discount”. After all that I was rung up for a 400.00 bill and told I needed to pay out of pocket.
They produced a handy little «claim» form to mail to my insurance for reimbursement and assured me its sooo simple and quick. That was months ago and I haven’t been reimbursed. Been getting the run around from the insurance co.
Go to «Americas Best» in Lynnwood. Yeah, it’s farther but 79.00 and two pairs of glasses plus exam!
I learned an expensive lesson.

Overall fine experience. Purchased my eyewear/​frame here (had my eye exam done elsewhere). Had to wait a bit to be helped– was told it would take 7 –10 business days to complete and that they would call me when my glasses was ready. Never got the call so I called them and they told me to come pick them up, Picking up my glasses was straight forward– overall, I would purchase my glasses from here again.
One thing to note when purchasing the frame pay attention to the items they add to your overall total/​cost– had to tell them to remove a whole bunch of stuff I didn’t ask for.

Convenient mall location and good selection compared to your typical optometry operation. Service was very attentive and helpful, particularly the guy with the handlebar mustache. Their input goes beyond subjective opinion and into details of fit — better and more personalized than reading 100 online guides.
The thing that made me purchase elsewhere was their lack of sizing options and their apparent unwillingness to special order a size. Mr. Mustache helped me find a pair of glasses I really liked, but I needed a size up. I asked specifically if the same model was available in a different size and was told no, then presented alternative models. Lame, since looking online clearly indicates otherwise. I heard the same from multiple associates about different models — one guy even went as far as saying that it wasn’t manufactured in a larger size which is verifiably false.
This weird sales tactic/​stocking strategy is what lost them my business. Other than that it was a great experience and I’ll be back.

The optometry clinic was busy but Dr. Nevett and staff were great.
The retail side was awesome. I wasn’t pressured into anything. Keilah was super cheerful and clearly enjoys her job. 6 stars for her! Lenses are pricey but luckily my insurance took care of part of it. My glasses were done in an hour (or less).

Good place to find a selection of glass and contacts. The down side was I feel they were very slow and pricey. Again, great and clean place, very informative and got me the correct lenses! I just wish I had not been sitting around so long.

I just saw Dr. Nevitt for the first time yesterday and am very happy to have found this optometry group at lenscrafters! I was there to have my eyes examined for new contacts and glasses. I tend to procrastinate going to see the optometrist but Dr. Nevitt and his staff are a very warm, friendly, and skilled group and I plan to see them regularly. Additionally, they have newer technology in their office which helps them give a quick and precise evaluation of eye health and correction needs. Very happy with this office. Probably my best eye exam experience ever and my contacts are perfect!

I’m actually pretty surprised by the negative reviews when it comes to the customer service of this place (but maybe the reviews have made management pay attention, so I get to experience better service now?).
1. Lens Crafters is horribly over priced, so just know that coming in. Even with a «sale» (my frames were $ 400 with lenses, from the «cheaper» section with 30% during a sale, GAH!). Frame selection is pretty limited to a few very classic styles and 30 versions of whatever is popular. (Right now it’s big blocky frames and cat eyes, neither of which are very flattering on me). You can get frames without a brand stamped on them for much cheaper elsewhere.
2. The service was completely fine. Nobody was rude to me, nobody got mad at me when I said «Yes, I want that insurance, I’ll be seeing you every two months when I break these» and everybody was REALLY nice. Like, «Hi, we’re pretending we work on commission and you actually just spent $ 1000 for those frames» nice. From the sales person, to the technician who had to smell my coffee breath every time she put my glasses back on my face.
3. Adjustments are hit and miss. One guy will get frames so straight on your face it makes you prettier, the next will spend 40 minutes desperately trying to figure out why they won’t sit well on your perfectly normal ears.
4. Nice guy with mustache is nice, try to get his attention if you need an adjustment or even just some idle chatter.
5. The optometry clinic staff are all perfectly nice, though the front desk situation is a little weird (there’s not much space due to all the crap all over the desk like pamphlets and sales brochures, so signing your bill feels super awkward). The doctor is great, but seriously with that front desk. I just gave you guys $ 150, maybe give me some space and a pen to fill out all the crap you hand me and then stop pretending I’m not there. I’m six feet tall, I don’t exactly melt into the background.
TL; Service is fine, selection is expensive and just «meh», lens turnaround is fast as hell. You’re paying for convenience when you come in.

My partner and I stopped here yesterday after noticing the huge sign in their window advertising their 50% off sale. He needed new lenses for his glasses and had his new prescription which included bifocals and transition. Since he is blind in one eye, he only needed one lens with the prescription and just the glass and transition in the other. We got an estimate for the new lenses, using his frames. It was $ 500. dollars! That is their sale price. I asked what the price would be for new frames with new lenses, she said it was also $ 500.
What a joke!
We went to J.C. Penney’s at the mall and got brand new designer frames and the lenses for $ 200. total. So much for Lens Crafters and their deceptive sales practices.

I’m surprised Lenscrafters got such mediocre reviews. Perhaps I came on a good day. I came in to get my frames adjusted as they had become somewhat loose from the countless times that I take them off with one hand rather than two as advised.
I was in and out in 15 minutes flat, my frames fit nicely on my face, and the woman helping me was pleasant. No complaints.
