History
Established in 2003.
We met in art school in the early 90s as dance majors at Cornish College of the Arts. We were leaders working in student government, organizing events in our department, making stuff happen with some great artists! There began our network of dynamic individuals who were and are movers and shakers. From there we made a lot of art, received a lot of attention and grants and publicity, and met more interesting movers and shakers. And, for our day jobs we freelanced as event coordinators. This was the late nineties, we were young and full of energy and eager to make things happen. Then in 2003, Kristen had an idea to formally join forces, Alex agreed and now 10 years later we have helped more than 60 couples wed, over 100 non-profit organizations raise nearly $ 10 million and produced in nearly every hip venue in the greater Seattle area including The Triple Door, Fairmount Olympic Hotel, EMP, Seattle Center, Macaw Hall, On The Boards, ACT, The Woodmark, Bellevue Arts Museum & more.
Meet the Business Owner
Kristen T.
Business Owner
Prior to my life as an event coordinator, I worked in the restaurant industry as a server, a bartender, and a caterer. My world was art, travel, food, wine and people. In those days, I learned about customer service and providing quality experiences for people. I learned about wine and food and which knife goes where. I learned that I love culture and want to be a creator of culture. In my moonlighting life as an artist, I worked to blur lines between life & art, audience & participant. Some call what I did performance studies, I called it contemporary dance. I worked in non-traditional spaces all around town and became known for craft, big vision & being able to make grande events happen in unusual spaces. Since then I have taken my skills as an artist and my life as a restaurant gal and woven them into my life as an event coordinator. I work as a designer picking colors & finding flow in a space, a menu planner, a surrogate hostess & a matchmaker who finds you the right vendors.
