DogWatch of Puget Sound

Dogwatch of Puget Sound is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with in as much as considering people who have come to my house to provide a service. We originally went with Invisible Fence company many years ago, but we were not happy with their service. One example was that the batteries for the dog collars, which we had 2 dogs at that time, cost around $ 75 each after tax, and you could only get the batteries from Invisible fence. Since we got the fence, it worked fine and unfortunately, we did lose one of our two dogs, but both had learned where the boundaries were, so they never tested them much if at all.
Well, since that time, our larger dog passed away, and we recently, had our yard entirely re-​landscaped, filled in our swimming pool that wasn’t even being used except by frogs and mosquitoes, so we have a big concrete area in the back for entertaining or whatever, but, while they were landscaping, they accidentally cut our dog fence lines in a few spots. This seemed to be ok since our dog we still had knew where he could and couldn’t go, but eventually he tested the boundaries until my wife was working in the yard and heard a car on the pretty busy road in front of our home honking it’s horn, and our Lhasa Apsa barking. Upon investigation, there was our «Howard» in the middle of the road barking at cars that go so fast on that road sometimes, we were very lucky that he was not hit by one of these cars, but it became imperative to get our fence fixed.
With a little investigation, we found DogWatch of Puget Sound
, and after our investigation, they seemed to have a better system, the collars were not pronged sticking into our animal’s throat, and their batteries for the collar were around $ 6 to $ 7 per battery that lasted about 6 months. David and his helper, Andy, showed up pretty much on time and got right to work, and set the new system up, and because we were upgrading from Invisible Fence, we did get a discount for that. The job went a little bit longer than originally thought due to some extra breaks we were unaware of, yet David was VERY fair to keep his bid at or close to what we had budgeted, and I was very impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail and doing the job correctly. He showed me how to program the collar, and gave us an extra battery or two and after showing me how to program the collar, he had taken Howard out on a leash and as he walked toward the busy road, the tone in the collar went off and immediately Howard turned and ran back toward the house, but still got a little buzz to his throat, but now he knows not to test the boundaries anymore.
I felt I got excellent value for my dollar, and I think both sides agreed to a fair price, as it was more than we originally thought, but David could have easily charged us much more, but he was so affable, and easy to get along with, we agreed to a price as they were finishing up raking the area where they last buried the final piece of cable and I told David that we would rake all that and not to worry about it, but he was very meticulous about doing the job right, I was very impressed.
I would recommend DogWatch of Puget Sound to ANYBODY who loves their animals but don’t want to spend the thousands of dollars for a full sized fence, but have that barrier there so you beloved animals are contained in the area that you want them. Thank you Dave and Andy for such a great experience coming to our home, doing the job right, and charging a fair price.

Dog Watch is the best out there. David responded to our inquiry promptly, provided an accurate and fair estimate over the phone, and set up an appointment, and arrived on time to replace our invisible fence brand fence. He spent a considerable amount of time tracking down, and repairing breaks, in the existing fence without complaint. Installed and tested the Dog Watch equipment and started training our rambunctious golden retriever pup. David will call a few days after install to check that everything is working to your satisfaction. Pup now roams free outside and wears himself out!

I live in Duvall and my two dogs were straying from the property all the time. The fence wasn’t working. I had a friend refer me to Dog Watch and the rep came out and showed me how he could save me money with a better product and could train my dogs. Actually I was skeptical because I had talked to some other companies that seemed kind of shallow and insincere. Dave put the quote together and it was noticeably less with I felt more value to the package. He trained both dogs quickly and the lab has always been a problem. No more ! I was always worrying about the coyotes. Thank God that’s over. I would recommend them to anyone.
