Maybe non-food-court locations are better, I wouldn’t know as I’ve never done another Jimmy John’s before(and am unlikely to after this). The positives are this: they are fast, the staff is nice and friendly, the product is consistent, and the place looks clean. But the sandwich is just not good. If I’m going for a fast-food sandwich, give me a Quiznos or Subway any day of the week over this. One would be hard pressed to tell the difference after unwrapping these sandwiches from any flat, slightly smashed, pretty much filling-less sandwich one quickly picks up from a deli case in a gas station. The only question I got asked when they were throwing it together was if I wanted cheese. Not what type of cheese, just did I want cheese. And that was extra. So for $ 8 I got a flat, over-mayo’d, sandwich with some meat, some tomato, a bit of cheese, and no flavor. No thanks.

This place is a solid three stars. The service was friendly, the location is convenient(in the Columbia Center food court) and they were indeed speedy in making my sandwich. As for the sandwich itself, it was mediocre. I didn’t expect a lot since it is just a sandwich, but for the price I was nonetheless hoping I’d enjoy it more. I’d say the bread is better than what you’d get at Subway(i.e. less chewy, more fluffy and fresh tasting), and the meat is certainly higher quality than that on Subway’s sandwiches, but the amount of meat, cheese, and other condiments was rather lacking. I ordered the Vito, and I felt it was 85% bread, 15% meat, cheese, and condiments. And, for $ 5.75, you only get an 8″ sub, while for the same price you could get a full 12″ at Subway. Overall, it’s expensive for what you can get. I might be back, but it would be more out of convenience than anything.

This was my first Jimmy John’s location and most likely will be my last. It seems like Jimmy John’s isn’t known for much else other than how speedier-than-Speedy-Gonzales they can make your sandwich. Even before I’m done paying, the sandwich will be waiting for me at the end of the station. But speed doesn’t account for taste, and I’d rather pick up an airport sandwich that’s been sitting in the refrigerator for an ungodly amount of hours than to eat another bland Jimmy John’s. By bland, I mean the taste differentiation between the list of choices is low. Probably because they slather on mayonnaise on an already limp bread, pack in a bunch of pre shredded lettuce, meats and cheese and call it a day. It’s cheap, it’s big but by the second days’ helping– it becomes an oily, mayonnaise-soaked, unappetizing mess that looks like a sad sandwich made of Subways’ reject leftovers.

Good sandwiches and wicked fast service. Kids working here are friendly and I appreciate how consistent their sandwiches are. This is my goto spot when I am in a hurry, and even when I am not.

Whenever I think of Jimmy John’s, I think of their ridiculous(but now funny) commercials. I see where all the buzz is at too… and I agree. Jimmy John’s is FAST. Super fast, I feel so pressured to order as fast as possible. I came here for lunch, and since I’ve never been here, I ordered the #10 Hunter’s Club – full of deliciously fresh and perfectly made roast beef. Just the way I love it. I got my sandwich within a minute of ordering, and it was fresh. Lettuce was fresh, so was the cheese. I love the genuine taste of the roast beef and how it just made my sandwich perfect. I love how their bread was a bit soft, but also a bit hard – better than soft, drooping bread that sometimes doesn’t hold your sandwich together. The only sucky thing is the additional charge for getting a cup of water, and for adding the cherry peppers… I think that’s a bit sucky. That’s how they lure you in because they ask you, «Would you like cherry peppers on that?» And of course, I say«Heck yes» because who the heck doesn’t love some extra spice in their life? Then, you see that additional charge that could’ve been just for tax lol. Anyway, sometimes, i wish we were able to add different sauces like Subway, but then again, this makes JJ pretty distinct. This location does have long lines as it is in Columbia Tower. It is pretty small, but it goes by super fast, which is nice. Anyway, very informative and friendly people here. It overwhelms me how fast they are.

My favorite sandwich shop! They have all the traditional sandwiches with Jimmy John’s unique meat, dressing, or sauces combos. It’s not like subway where you have make decisions on about everything. I like it when you give me simple choices but options to change it up if necessary.

Super fast super delicious friendly kids deliver your sandwiches. Fresh ingredients and yummy bread. We order online for the office and they are literally there with sandwich in hand in under 5 minutes. Its much much faster than going down to get your own lunch.

Absolutely the worst customer service in the Columbia Tower. I will never eat here again. I’ve eaten lunch at the tower for 3 years and I’ve never been treated so poorly. Last week the sandwich artist rudely refused to wrap my «unwhich» tightly so it ended up leaking all over the place(read: on my clothes). I called and politely asked them to reevaluate the way they treat customers. Yesterday I decided to give them another chance; bad, bad idea. The young lady who did a bad job last week was rude and condescending, «I want you to look at how beautiful this looks, I’m going to wrap this tight, really tight… here’s your tight wrap». What a joke. I’m not going to waste one more cent on this place. What a waste.

Great things about this place: (1) Veggies are super fresh and crisp. (2) Happy employees serving people with big smiles. The negatives: (1) Their sandwiches are often missing ingredients. Once, I paid to add avocado spread in my sandwich but it wasn’t put in, but by the time I realized, I am already half way in the sandwich. The second time I paid to add avocado spread again, it was either not put in, or was spread on so thin, so little, that I couldn’t tell it was there or if they forgot to put it in again. If it was, it was definitely not worth the 50 cents, which is too bad, because I really like avocado. Another time, I ordered a BLT sandwich but didn’t get the tomato. I think they would have remake it for me if I asked, but I didn’t like the idea of going back in the store with a half eaten sandwich. It does irritate me though, to be charged for things that wasn’t put in my sandwich and that it happens so frequently. I wish they would be more careful reading the orders when they make the sandwiches. Another thing, it is hard to order in the store, because there are a lot of signs in the store, a new customer couldn’t tell where is the menu. It doesn’t help when the staff expects you to know what you want to order as soon as you step in. They also speak super duper fast that I cannot follow. One time I had extra cheese added to my sandwich because I just gave up and said okay after having asked the clerk to repeat himself three times. Good thing I am not lactose intolerant to cheese or sensitive about the extra charge, so I just ate it right up. Anyhow, I much prefer to order online, that way I minimize time interacting with the staffs in the store. Their online menu is great, it tracks the calories as you add or remove ingredients from the sandwich.

I never understood why people were so excited about JJ opening in the Columbia Tower. I literally had co-workers salivating over it. I’ve had one or two quick sandwiches from here & I must give them kudos. The lines are always long but the service is super fast. It’s no joke at how quick they get your food turned around. I also love that they have ‘plain’ sandwiches for people like me. I don’t like mayo, etc on mine and they have menu items just for that. A-mazing!

The food is good and their service is fast, good selection and not far from the office if you want to walk to their westlake location. Always friendly!!! The price is good and fair.

Good sandwiches with quick service, however the pressure they give to place an order immediately can be a turn off. It’s one thing to be fast; it’s another to stress the customer out when they are still reviewing the menu.
