My Zen is in my little garden plot. I’m a novice for certain but experimenting with the magic of growing a flower garden(inspired by my English mother and grandfather), my very own herb garden and the joy and satisfaction of growing beautiful and quite delicious«real» tomatoes(doubt I’ll ever match the smell and flavor of the one’s my dad grew by the side of our house in Pennsylvania tho’) is meditative! My desire is always to tend to it more but with a busy life… This garden is magic! Despite my lack of true devotion somehow I am delightfully gifted with treasures at each and every visit! Once it was a strawberry shaped like a heart(I have picture proof)! Another visit astounded with a true embarrassment of riches in tasty tomatoes! Sometimes it’s just the busy birds flitting back and forth at twilight… Whatever the occasion, I am enchanted and delighted I get to participate albeit just every once and a while…

What a fun place to meet people who are into gardening. Even if you don’t have a plot there, you can invariably find a lot going on from May through September on Tuesday evenings(Food Bank gardening), Friday evenings(potluck dinner), and lunch time Saturday(soup lunches).
