Mike and Fred worked overtime to get our van fixed because we had to have it. They didn’t charge extra and did a great job. Thanks you guys!

1: Mike and Fred are honest and personable guys! This place is by far the most helpful auto repair shop I’ve been to.
2: They are not only willing to take time and show you what’s wrong with you car but also why.
3: They will even give you tips if you want to try to fix the issue yourself. They’ll also let you know – without any pressure – that they should do the work of it is too complicated.
4: They will help to write up a plan for essential and non essential/​non urgent work to help save you money.
5: Their work is quality.
6: Their prices are straightforward and reasonable.
7: they’re just damn honest!
8: You can tip them with beer! They prefer Saint Paulina Girl, or some other kind of hefeweizen.
My experience with them is based on two different encounters where each time they wanted me to be able to save money and time. They just wanted what was good for me and helped me make an informed decision!
5 stars – but more importantly, they are great human beings!

We have had Harvey’s do a fair amount of maintenance and repair work on some older Subarus. They have been very fair in their pricing (even offering a discount I wasn’t aware I qualified for) and the work quality has been good.

I just moved to the area from Boston and was hesitant to find a new mechanic (since my Dad has always done all my car work and has long warned me about mechanics.) Mike was literally the exact opposite — he could not have been nicer, quicker or more helpful. Not only did he help me out, he didn’t even charge me for the small fixes he made to my car.
I couldn’t have been more pleased or more grateful. Thank you!!! You would not regret coming to Harvey’s Auto!!!

FINALLY! An auto shop that is honest, friendly and accommodating! Mike is so awesome and every time that I leave this place I am smiling! Waaaait, what… how is that possible?! It just is. He has never sold me a service that I didn’t need, even when I was convinced I needed it. This place rocks!

My grandfather loved to explain to us why you should hire the absolute best in the profession for the services you need. Commit to building a relationship with that person, he said, and they will treat you like gold for the rest of your life. Two years before my grandfather passed, he had me drive him up the street to Harvey’s Auto Service for a tune up– because the neighbors had recommended them. He was so pleased with the friendliness, professionalism, and advice, that he turned to me and said, «We are always going to bring our cars here, they are The Best.» I looked at him funny and said, «That Mechanic, Mike, just told you that you don’t need an oil change today. He said that your car is like new, has low mileage, and has only been driven 75 miles in the last 3 months. Unlike Michigan, where my grandfather was from, the weather in Seattle had less impact on vehicle performance, and the oil he’d just tested came out clean as a whistle. –Well, my grandfather had him change the oil anyway, and he was very pleased at the high level of service for the low price of the bill.
Long story short, our family brings all of our cars here now for oil changes, tune ups, and repairs, and I will always recommend them like a surgeon. My grandfather lived here in Seattle for 25 years, and had his oil changed religiously, almost every three months. And they were the first service shop to tell him it was probably didn’t need to be changed as often.
Oh, and I don’t know why they’re hidden, but there’s 3 other great reviews to check out on Unilocal that are «Filtered» and not averaged into the ratings.

I keep referring people here but haven’t written a review myself. Mike is awesome, he doesn’t jack up the hours and will stay late if they’re almost done so you can have your car sooner. I greatly appreciate his help!

You know that nearby, honest, do-​right mechanic you keep looking for? Weill if you live near Crown Hill in Seattle that guy is Mike at Harvey’s Automotive. We’ve brought him multiple cars from multiple countries and he doesn’t bat an eye — they’ve all come back clean, working in top form, and with advice on what can wait, and what should be addressed next. He’s thorough, hard-​working and honest — exactly the guy you want to know when the car is having a problem. Top rating for me.

I’ve been coming here for service since I moved to Crown hill in 07. Sad to see Tommy (previous owner) gone– but Mike C., will definitely treat you right. They vacuum out your car too for the oil change– that’s kinda cool. $ 33 with tax isn’t too bad. They are good at calling back too for any questions you might have. Will definitely keep bringing my cars here.
