They have an entire WALL of Funko Pop Vinyls… my jam! And my husband totally gacked out on their comics. They had an amazing selection of games and I think I spent a half hour at least looking through all of their posters!
It’s expensive. and touristy. and kind of hard to find if you’ve never experienced the maze that is the Pike Place Market Underground… but, totally worth it to at least pop in, you nerds!

It’s a nice comic shop but way too expensive. If your picking up regular issues its not bad. But variant issue are double the cost.

I spend over $ 200 every time I come here they have a great selection of older books. What kept me from buying more today was the asshole behind the counter, younger in his 20s dude. Came in with a bite of a sandwich left and he asked me to finish it (which is fine) but his attitude. Then my girlfriend he asked her the same and made her go outside of the shop. Then laughed because she had to. It’s 12÷28÷15 6pm only he and another lady were working and she was nice. But this guy really got on my nerves. Because after telling me what to do I had to tell him what to do. «Excuse me can you help me with the comics in the case?» He didn’t even offer to help he was too busy smiling all proud he made my girlfriend go outside

Being a huge Batman fan, I feel the need to visit comic book stores wherever I go. I found Golden Age Collectables at Pike Place Market and strolled in to have a look. Although this store is not that big, they have tons of stuff. I’ve never seen so many Pop! Vinyl Figures in my life, they have a huge collection. I found some Batman items that intrigued my interest so I went ahead and bought them. They offer a wide selection of comics and books as well as pop culture collectables. Given that the new Star Wars movie is being released in December of 2015, they do have a lot of Star Wars toys and figurines for sale. If you’re looking for vintage tin lunch boxes, you will find them here. Unfortunately they didn’t have any Batman lunch boxes or I would’ve definitely bought one. Those brought back memories of when I was a kid, you just don’t see those around anymore. The staff was very helpful and friendly, don’t be afraid to ask questions, they are glad to help!

These guys are asshats they charge 10 times what everyone else does and are super rude.
The last time I was looking for a specialty item I called they said they have it I went in and even though it was right after and they said they would hold the item actually never was there.
On top of the fact that they were charging over 100 $ for 20 $ chase Funko’s and don’t seem to know much as much as they should for the prices they are charging. I understand having to make money especially since Pike Place rents are probably through the roof but I don’t see how they sell much to non tourists with their prices. Which leads Me to My next point this is more of a tourist spot then anything alot of novelty junk but alas it is a Seattle staple and has been since I was a child.

Harness your inner geek and check this place out when in Seattle. Yes, it is located in the partial tourist trap pike street market. But they have managed to keep it down to earth real without jacking up prices. Most likely due to native Seattlites still shopping at the open market as well? Who knows? Who cares, a great experience none the less if you are there to buy, or just browsing. There is something that appeals to everyone here. The staff are there for you, they are knowledgeable and friendly! Pop culture paradise.

Use to be comic book fanatic back in the days. Remember going down to the comic book store just about every weekend with my brother or friends. It good times. Go through comic book rows and rows looking for your favorite title (always always been X-​men fan). Each week thinking about the new release in the series or just browsing in the store hanging out with other comic book fans. I turn to collecting baseball, football, and basketball cards. So collectables there always been place in my heart growing up and hell still have all my sports cards although none of them are worth much in this day and age. Michael Jordan rookie card only thing worth in the transition of technology and producing higher quality cards in todays market.
Anyway…I never knew they had comic book store in Pike Market Place cause am use to walking around the street level the times visited. My friends visited he was telling me always make stop to this store whenever stopped by Pike Market Place. So we were killing time me playing tourist. Why not. I found was really cool shop underground. It not very big but surprisingly found that had decent walk space between rows. Sure they cram few things in the store but like the diversity in the store. The collectable section one thing that stood out was all the POP merchandise. I think never seen that many in one store and just about covers every television series to movie character can find. The comic books have nice amount not sure if have the hottest or current ones. This was first time been in comic book store in years and so out of the game just enjoying walking around being kid again. The action figures they have current ones. Some in glass displays that are assume current and old time classic Star Wars. Also have nice section for MAGIC card players and Pokeman assortment.
If your walking around Pike Market Place and feel like being kid again. Just walking around Golden Age Collectables is lot of FUN!!!

Over price comics but they got some cool figures and random things in shop but not a bad place

Despite the fact that I showed up before the doors opened, and despite the fact that they were in the middle of setting up a new system on their registers, the staff dropped everything to help me find a going-​away gift for a treasured co-​worker. The theme was the Supernatural television show, and the manager was able to rattle off every piece of merchandise that involved the show: games, posters, keychains, magnets, etc. I ended up with a lifesize cutout of Castiel and a printed script of the pilot episode. Great customer service, and a great parting gift!

This is a fun place with fantastic customer service.
I came here with a group of teenage girls for a birthday party on the opening day of the latest Avengers movie. I had contacted the management ahead of time and they were wonderful. They treated each of the girls specially, greeting them and giving them treats.
Their selection is AMAZING to me. Besides a great selection of comic books and games, we saw cards, toys, figurines, lanyards, posters, and my favorite… movie scripts. (How cool is that?!) There was so much more.
If you are looking for a fun comic book store, check this one out!

My favorite comic store in Seattle — it’s where my subscription list is parked so I can pick up my stuff when I get to it. Plus, they send out a weekly email that lists everything that is coming in. Very handy.
I don’t buy games, toys, figures, etc., but for keeping up with new comics, this place is my go to.

Now THIS is what I’m talking about! I visited Golden Age collectables for the first time today and was quite impressed. The staff are friendly and accessible without being pushy. The comic selection is well organized with fair prices. They also have other geek stuff (posters, board games, art, etc). It’s a truly fantastic place and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.

I am little spoiled ’cause we have a Golden Age Collectables in Vancouver with similar awesome selection, however, there is something that is really comforting about walking around in a comic store and making comic book related jokes in a store that seems like a social safety blanket, especially for yours truly. I noticed that they have whole series of graphic novels instead of piece meal which is a huge plus for me. I love their super hero Id tags. The store is small and if there is too many people it can get cramped. Not all comic book readers bathe either so you tend to get really close in more ways than one.

Can’t support a business that doesn’t provide refunds.
Bought a tumbler cup a week ago, used it once, dropped it by mistake and it broke.
Called them, and was told «once you leave the store, the product can’t be exchanged».
Great way to lose a customer!

This is a really cool store with lots of good gifts and toys. Aisles are attractively displayed so it’s easy to see what’s available. Staff are friendly and willing to help.

What a wonderful place to get your geek on.

Another great store in pike place!
This is the place I go when I need something specific related to tv/​movies/​comics! They have a great selection of everything!
Comics, toys/​action figures/​cleaver phrased magnetics, buttons, mugs and everything else!!!
Also just a great store to look around!

If you know me, you know that I am probably equally as geeky if not more so than my 9 year old boy. We love comics, animé, cartoons, anything SciFi, toys, super heroes, card games, and video games. Golden Age Collectables touches on each of these things and so much more. We spent so much of our time in Seattle perusing the isles of this store, reading the comics, choosing funny magnets for our favorite humans. We left with a few items and a desire for everything we could not afford to bring back with us. Uh for someone who had never been to Pike Place Market I have to say this place was a challenge to find. But worth the hunt. Treasures. Galore. I can’t wait to come back and spend more time and money here! Geek. Out!

I heart Golden Age Collectables.
My boyfriend and I can’t stop by Pike Place Market without stopping in here. Like everyone has already mentioned, this store carries all the nerdy paraphernalia you could ever want: cardboard cutouts, mugs, movie scripts, bobbleheads, figurines, band aids, key chains, comic books,…and the list goes on…
Not only that, they also represent almost anything you could be nerdy about: science, Star Wars, Hello Kitty, Ninja Turtles, DC comics, Marvel comics, and so much more.
It’s usually packed during peak hours (weeknights and weekends) but you can still find your way around and the staff is always helpful.
I wish I were rich. I’d buy the entire store. Seriously.

Even in undiscovered territory (that I’ve never been to anyway), YES, there is geekdom! Wifey and I walking through the Pike Place Market underground, I was able to find my Dorothy — there’s no place like home! Yes, I may have said that out loud as well discovering Golden Age Collectables. And yes, the wifey did let out an «Ugh» somewhere along the way.
Needless to say the wifey and I were in the middle of a short weekend vacay together, and wow, comics and toys just had to somehow get in the way of killing our precious time! Sorry baby! But sci-​fi and nerdiness must make its way into my life like breathing. And banh mi sandwiches. With extra hoisin and jalapeño.
Golden Age Collectables is a very pretty store! Quaint, and stocked full of comics, toys, trinkets, random gag gifts, collectables (duh), and more. Love how they have the neon sign outside along with the life size standees to attract folks to their store. It was noticeable from half a mile away! Thank goodness I was able to find this on our trip to Seattle. Eating every 1 and a half hours was making me full.
Me being the Walking Dead and Star Wars fan that I am had access to much product. It was like finding candy in a… candy store! Old stuff, new stuff, limited stuff, wacky stuff, it was all there. That vintage comic smell you get from Golden and Silver Age? It was there. Breezy ocean air smell? It was there too. It was like a comic store almost on the beach. Complete with stinky rotting salmon heads too. But in a good way.
I looked around for what must have been an hour I left the store with… NOTHING! That is my only minor gripe. Being that Golden Age Collectables is proably the ONLY comic store on this side of Downtown Seatlle (let alone most convenient for all tourists), their markup is pretty high. Like 20% higher than I would usually go. Seeing that I wasn’t a regular to the store made me feel a bit uncomfortable to try and haggle with the staff. And I really, really wanted those Star Wars Expanded Universe figures they had in their display case to add to my collection. But oh well, at least I saved some money for more eating!
The wifey couldn’t escape the retail wrath though, she bought a bunch of gag gifts for her co-​workers back home. She actually enjoyed herself at a comic store! For the first time! Although she still can’t tell me the difference between Luke and Duke, except that Channing Tatum was also on ‘Magic Mike’ (but I guess I’ll have to give her half a credit on that one).
