Frame Central

I’m usually smart enough to leave my things with these masters to frame. But not this time. I thought, surely I can just put the thing in the frame and … Nope, I broke it. Just like that. So I came back and they fixed it no questions asked. Lesson learned. I really appreciated the help and no extra charges even though it was actually my fault. Good customer service is hard to find, but not here.

I’ve had 2 pieces framed here and I’m very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the framing I received. Remember, qualify framing is expensive, but well worth it!

I went on a cruise in February and purchased some prints. I got the first 3 at one time and brought them in here in March. These were the first items I was having framed and I was very pleased with the customer service I received. Brought the other print in when I received it in June — same experience. Have come in for some small frames in the meantime, as they have a pretty good selection, and good prices.

Got a text-​based cross stitch piece framed here and when I looked it over at home, it seemed like the top edge of the piece was dipping down to the right. I measured the distance between the top line of text (at the leftmost and rightmost spots) and the mat, and sure enough, the right side was somewhere between 3/​32″ and 1/​8″ lower than the left side — a small amount, yes, but noticeable to me right away because the text and the mat are both supposed the be horizontal. I called and was told that they worked with it for a while, this was the best they could do, and no other framing place would be able to do better, because the piece was not truly square. Sure… except (a) it’s fairly straightforward to pin needlework pieces down to the edge of a board (along the same line of stitches) for framing, which will make them totally square even if they wouldn’t be square when lying loose, and (b) if they were going to cut that corner and let it be irregular, it’s pretty obvious that the top edge of the piece — the one the eye is drawn to first, since it’s text — is the MOST important one to get lined up straight. (In this case, the top edge alignment is actually measurably the most crooked of all four sides.)
They offered me a refund, but I paid with a Groupon so I’m not sure there’s actually any easy way for them to do that, and I don’t actually believe them when they say this is the best they can do. I have friends who’ve framed their own cross stitch pieces themselves in their apartments, and none of them would call the job done if the right side of the border obviously dipped.

Frame Central is my favorite place for custom frames as well as pre-​measured budget frames. I think my entire frame collection is from here! The staff is always friendly and helpful — not to mention having a great artistic eye for complimenting the artwork that I bring in to get framed.

A young lady helped me and denied me the DIY options that they offer and advertise, claiming that they are too busy to let people do DIY. She then proceeded to aggressively push a custom frame job that wasn’t what I was asking for and was out of my budget. At the end of this experience I was exhausted and I was forced to shop around and found a shop that was more reasonable.
I know framing is expensive but I have never had customer service this bad. Down right mean.

I walked in on a bright and sunny Sunday afternoon to try and find a simple frame to make a photo collage. I wasn’t able to find the right frame, and of course, I was in a time crunch. But the gentleman working (I am so sorry, I forgot your name,) came and assisted me and gave me some simple solutions. It wasn’t an expensive project or frame, but he took his time and helped make a custom matte for my project. The end result was PERFECT. He even offered to assist in assembling it. Most retailers wouldn’t bother in taking that much time for a $ 65 sale, but he did. I will forever be a customer here. Thank you.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. They will answer any and all of your questions and make sure you leave happy and satisfied with your purchase/​framing. It is expensive but you are getting great quality plus framing is never cheap!

It seems crazy to dish out a 5 star review for a Frame place but I’ve spent at least $ 1500 here in the last 18 months and every time I get a project back I jump for joy.
I’d say that of the 8 or so times I’ve been in I’ve had 4 or 5 different people assist me. They’ve always been nice, they’ve always been helpful, and tonight I ended up getting 3 projects done in 20 mins! Typically anything custom would take weeks but if you need glass cut or you want a standard size mat cut that they have in stock, a lot can actually get done while you wait.
Framing is expensive but if you think about just keeping the frames and the mats, you can swap out art or posters and keep the frames for years and years. Looking around my house I can count at least 12 items we’ve had framed or mounted and I’m so glad for it. I’m moving in a few months and it feels nice to get old posters out of tubes and get things framed and ready for display in the new place. Because of their location and their customer service, I’ll always come back here. If you pay attention to your ValPak deals in the mail, they almost always have some kind of sale going on. Sometimes upwards of 50% off custom frames. Always great to take advantage of this and save up a few things to get done at once.

Hilarious. In what universe is mounting a poster in a ready-​made (not custom) pretty cheaply made frame $ 70? And that’s just the «labor” – like a thick swath of fatty icing over a bad cupcake – the pre-​made frame itself was a ludicrous $ 50. So that’s $ 120, plus tax, to frame a poster. Um… no?
The $ 70 of labor didn’t involve any special additional backing added to the frame (I asked), any additional anything (I asked), literally just putting a poster inside of a pre-​made frame with two hands and closing it up. And that 30% off coupon they mail you? Well, all of the pre-​made frames are already «marked off» by 25% (but not really – they just invent a «retail price» about 25% higher than what the manager wants to charge, which is never the price the frame sells for, anywhere, ever) so the coupon is actually only 5% off. What a racket.
The workers are very nice, of course. And I’m sure they should make more per hour than they do. I mean, 5 minutes of work for $ 70… yea, I’m guessing the gal will get, what, $ 1.25 of that? Minus tax. Maybe she should start her own shop!

I got nice quality frames, with in the next few hours at a fraction of the cost at the other frame shops. Plus regular frame shops make me stand in a line for like30−60 min. These guys were very fast in attending to me.

All the people we interacted with here were very helpful. We were able to find on sale standard frames that fit our two pieces of artwork and were extremely reasonable and then picked out our mat and glass. The woman helping us was very patient even as we were indecisive and had a great eye. We are so happy with the way our pieces turned out and there’s no way we would have come to the same decisions without her advice!

The people here are super nice. My husband and I have a somewhat odd dimensioned picture we’ve been procrastinating. We visited a few places, but it would always cost more than we wanted to spend. We brought a smaller picture here and got it framed for less than we expected. I brought our difficult picture in and bought a frame and mat for it. They even let me use their workspace to put it all together there since I hadn’t planned ahead enough to figure out how to get it all back home. I would definitely come here again for any of my framing needs.

I had some posters framed and was very satisfied with the work and the price. I have used other frame shops but the prices here are terrific and I plan to come back. I live in Everett but spend a lot of time in the area and have found a place that I will use again and again.

Want to pick up some apocalyptic art of zombies destroying Seattle? Then look no further! I mean, who wouldn’t want a pic of the Space Needle on it’s side while tourists in the background are feasted on. There are non-​violent depictions as well, but those didn’t tickle my fancy as much.
This place not only has some good quality frames, they have some awesome prints to purchase as well. From bands to Emerald City culture, it’s unique and art that’d make any room stand out or at least be the topic of conversation. They’re super reasonable, too!
The staff was awesome and super helpful and a lot of locals go in to get custom framing done. I’ll be back next time I’m in the city.

As a photography student there have been times I’ve procrastinated and rushed to Frame Central nearly in tears: fairly broke, over deadline, stressed out, and panicked.
But guess what? The wonderful, knowledgable employees always FIX EVERYTHING. No one has ever been critical or rude and EVERY SINGLE TIME the person who helped me actually HELPED ME and did a PERFECT JOB.

What a great shop! The guy who helped me when I came in was polite and very friendly, and didn’t make me feel dumb for knowing nothing about framing. He helped me pick out some frames personally. And the shop had a very good selection. Awesome place.

Let me say off the bat, if you want inexpensive, you’re better off leaving your photos bare and vulnerable to the elements, because framing is just a pricey biz, no matter where you go. On the bright side, it’s worth it at Frame Central. Why?
— Service: friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Framing is an art form so it’s nice to be helped by people with an eye for color and discerning taste
— Price: get ready to empty your wallet unless you carry fat stacks (lucky bastard). $ 118 for a custom job framing an 8×10-inch painting, and I even saved $ 10 by going with a cotton rather than linen matte job. (The linen looked a bit nicer but c’mon, I’m not Bill Gates.) Gonna be lovely tho, I’ve bought from them before and it’s always quality.
— Quality: Poyfect. They look great and they are protected against wear-​and-​tear by mysterious backings and glass that only people who listen to their spiel understand.
Once you buy art you love, you wanna display it right and keep it in good shape — these guys will allow you to do that!

Minimal selection, especially in the ready-​to-​go frames. There’s a bigger selection even at IKEA! After spending almost a half hour with the staff choosing materials for me, they only told me the price (for the most expensive frame, matting, glass, etc that they carried) after everything. I felt completely trapped into it, and was shocked by the price. I’m fully aware that custom framing is expensive, but it was ridiculous. I forwent the pricier materials, against their advice, and still felt the pricing was ridiculous. Also, despite what they said, they never called me to say my pieces were ready for pick up. I had to call 3 weeks later to ask. Next time I will go to Michael’s.
