I’m a real estate agent who has need from time to time of rank inspection. There are many things that immediately set Filco apart from their competition:
First, responsiveness. Seems to me that it has become the «thing» in the trades to become unreachable. Utterly. And then when you do reach someone, they can’t see you for weeks and the rates are SO HIGH! Not these guys.
Next, they have a Flat rate for the first hour of inspection. $ 175. The other guy I talked to who couldn’t get there until the middle of next week was $ 175 for the first 15 MINUTES!!! And then $ 25 every 15 minutes after!!! These guys have a flat rate. No piling on the fees.
Last, they could get there in 2 days. Not a week. Not 2 weeks. Two days. Anyone who has bought a home knows that the inspection deadlines are stressful. These guys get that and they have the time you need, when you need it.
I would recommend this company to all my clients.

When I bought my house a few months ago it came with an old oil tank buried in the back yard in need of decommissioning. Filco got back to me right away after I sent them an online request for an estimate. They gave me a very reasonable price, didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need, and had the work done the next day. If I ever need another oil tank decommissioned (which hopefully will be never), I will definitely use Filco.
