came in for a simple oil change. Guy at counter was nice enough and said my car would be ready in 2 hours. Granted, I didn’t have an appointment but went and ran some errands and figured I was good. Called 2.5 hours later and was told that my car hadn’t even been serviced yet and it would be another 2 – 2.5 hours.
I told them not to do anything and went an got my car. I was not very happy when I got there and it showed in my language. For that I am sorry, but there was no apology, no offer to re-​book at another time or incentive for me to come back.
on the way out the guy behind the counter yelled sarcastically «have a great day» as the door was closing.
Suffice to say I will not be coming back here. I would have been fine with the truth right off the bat and said I will come back another time but they fully expected me to waste a full day with no car and they had NO Plans to call me to tell me it would be 5 hours.

Scheduled a simple oil change. Came back 1.5 hours later, not even started. Anywhere else.

My experience was very positive.
Went in with a slow leak and the tire pressure monitor saying it was the Right Front tire whereas the actual problem tire was Right Rear.
They fixed the tire and reprogrammed the tire pressure monitoring system and all with no charge to me.
(This was with a set of tires that I’d bought there a few months ago)

AVOID! After years of going to this place with 5 different vehicles, I finally had enough. The straw that broke the camel’s back was them telling me (after $ 2800 in repairs) that the car needed a new alternator as well due to «accessories not performing well». Trouble is that the alternator had been replaced a month before I bought the car (I had the paperwork) and I’d only owned it 3 months. The accessories performed just fine. Another mechanic confirmed that the alternatir was «like new» and bench tested as normal.
Read the other reviews. Elliot will do anything and everything to upsell, jack up the price, etc. including trying to tell you that things that aren’t broken need fixing, sometimes to the tune of thousands of dollars. To the owner: don’t bother trying to contact me to «make things right». Your business has done way too much wrong to me and tha ship has sailed. I prefer to let my review stand on its own to act as a warning to others to avoid your shop no matter what. Their wallets will thank me.
Update: 2 months after extensive repairs for a coolant leak (to the tune of $ 2K), I now have — wait for it — a coolant leak.

i’ve only been here twice but this past time I had a really bad experience and feel that either they tried to scam me or they are just not good with auto repair (either option is not good). The last time I came here, I had an adjustment and there were no issues. This time I had an allignment & also mentioned that I had some squeeling when turning corners and could they check this out. So after waiting 1.5 hours (and I had made an appointment) they finally came out and talked to me. Said they had done the alignment and there was some «toe issue» that they needed to fix. The total for aligment & fixing this toe issue was $ 160. They also told me that they thought they squeeling noise my car was making was because of my power steering. They said the cost for a new power steering was $ 500 and then a power steering flush was $ 89, so they wanted $ 589 for that. I asked them to the fix the toe issue but that I couldn’t afford the power steering issue right now. It still took them another 1.5 hours to fix this toe issue that they found while doing the alignment.
On the way home I was driving by First Choice and decided to just pop in & see how much they would quote me for the same power steering issue. When I explained the situation to them, the guy at First Choice had some red flags, as if you buy a new power steering, then I wouldn’t need to a power steering flush (I asked the guy at Elliott twice if both were necessary and he said yes). He asked if he could have the keys to my car real quick, he’d drive it into the garage, and that it may be as simple as tightening a belt. He took my car for 10 min and all it was was a belt that needed tightening as he had thought, and he did that for me for free.
I will never go back to Elliott as I feel like they either tried to scam me or are idiots when it comes to fixing cars.

Buyer beware! They know how to sell you tires in their old facility that is clearly non-​EPA or OSHA compliant. You’ll enjoy watching the big mustache guy walking around the auto bays smoking like a chimney, looking like he’s somebody important. They lied from the start; no one in the shop wears shop gloves so they get everything dirty, they left tire lever marks on previously perfect OEM wheels, their service «lead» tells me my battery is dead and needs immediate replacement as well as my front brakes. They were dumbfounded when I declined their recommendations and then went straight to the Volvo dealership, who then tells me the battery tests good (630 verses their 260) and the front brakes are 6 mm, well within Volvo specifications. These guys are looking for every opportunity to rip you off, be aware, and while Ballard continues to get more built up, they see more opportunity to rip unsuspecting people off.

I had my tires replaced and my brakes fixed here a year ago. My tires are constantly losing air pressure slowly which makes me believe that they are of poor quality, and my brakes are squeaky whenever it rains (which is a lot). I guess that’s what a $ 1000 gets you.

I love this place. They have the friendliest staff and they explain things in terms that I can understand without being condescending, or taking advantage. Normally I leave my car with them while I am at work and they take care of it at their convenience but today I needed my car back quick and they delivered. I always feel like they try their very best to be accommodating.
I became a loyal costumer of theirs when my battery died a few blocks away from Goodyear. Before arriving at Goodyear I had stopped in a les schawb and a grease monkey — they couldn’t help me. When I explained my problem to Goodyear, they walked back to my car with me, portable battery/​jump starter thingy in hand and started my car. No questions asked, no account, just helping a girl who left her lights on out! I’ve been a customer since.

Service here was FANTASTIC! I took my 4Runner in for a slow leak in one of the tires. I went in without an appointment at the end of the day, and despite them being very busy, they accommodated me. (At first they indicated they were too busy, but when I explained that I was planning a weekend road trip, they were eager to hep out.) When I went to pay for the tire patch, they said «don’t worry about it» and simply told me to come to then if/​when I needed tires or a larger service on the vehicle. Needless to say, 6 months later, the tire is still working perfectly! Could not say enough positive things about this place! Thank you, Elliot Tire!

After a bad experience at Elliott Service and tire the owner personally reached out to me and offered to correct the wrong and make me a happy customer. That goes a long way in my book.
I had my brakes replaced and after the kept squealing Elliott eventually agreed to replace them and refund some repair work which I eventually put towards more service.
They rode around with me in the car after the work was done to insure the situation was fixed.

Their customer service is top notch, and the people there are very friendly. It certainly isn’t the cheapest place, but I always feel like they have helped me. They’ve pointed out issues with my car, but I’ve never felt like they were trying to force me into any unnecessary repairs. I would recommend them.

Only go here if you are looking to get ripped off. Shelly tried to sell me repairs I just had done at another shop. I only went here because it’s much closer to my work than my regular shop. Shelly also added $ 300 to the original quote she gave me. I’m not happy to say the least

I can only comment on customer service I recieved when I limped in with a rapidly deflating tire. Chris immediately came to see what I needed, gave me a price quote and upon learning I’d bought my tires originally from Les Schwab, filled the flat up to get me to them so I could pay less for any repairs. He was friendly, helpful and honest and I have to say I wish I’d had them replace my tire as Les Schwab was okay, but nowhere near as great customer-​service oriented as Elliott Tire service. As for getting full tires done or nickel and dimed, I cannot comment.

I just recently moved to the area and have been going to a lot of the local businesses. It’s true I was «lured» in with a great oil change coupon, and they did give me a list of things wrong/​broken with my vehicle. I appreciated the fact they took the time to explain everything to me and gave me an itemized list. The last thing I want is to go to an oil change place and just leave without knowing the heath of my car. Over the years I have been to many auto repair shops and had some bad run ins, this place is not one of those. I have a feeling I will be going here for years to come. All-​in-​all friendly staff and quality work.

They get you in the door w/​inexpensive oil service and then up-​sell you after that. If you are ok playing that game but be warned that any minor fix you ask for turns into an astronomical charge. I figured they could replace a fog light in my 02 Subaru which turned into a $ 60 expense! Like others have said, shop around and go somewhere else.

DON“T GO HERE, BUYER BEWARE: I just took my Honda Fit with 44k miles in for an oil change and tire rotation, and I left with an itemized bill of problems my car is having, unbeknownst to me. After speaking with a mechanic that specializes in Japanese auto repair, he told me to never go back to this place. Eilliot Tire made it sound like I had a few weeks at most to drive with my brakes, when in reality I could drive another 5−7k miles more with 3 mm of brake pad. They also said my rear cylinders were leaking, and if that were true I’d be going through brake fluid which I am not. Also, I have replaced my windshield wiper blades before, and Elliot Tire offered to do it for me $ 88 plus tax. Their entire itemized bill came up to $ 856. RIGHT… not all women are idiots. Not cool.
PS: After reading the response below, I’m even more convinced that they are shysters. Elliot Tire did not present me with another option for my window blades, and the guy at the front desk told me I «should not delay, my brakes were about to go». And it was written that my rear brake cylinders were leaking (no mention that «they were starting to leak») These deceptive business practices will eventually catch up with them.

They have inflated retail prices and charge you way more than industry standards. Shop around and go elsewhere. Your pocketbook will thank you!
Their work is also sub par as you’ll get one thing to find out the next day something else needs work. I won’t go back here again.

The staff here is awesome! Everyone upfront is very knowledgable and takes time to explain to you what they are doing with your car and what will need to be fixed in the near future. I am a girl and am very sceptilcale when i go to shops because i dont want to be taken advantage of, i am definetly not a car person. But here at Elliot Auto Center Good Year i feel like i can trust the staff. I will never take my car anywhere else again i have had my last couple of car repairs done at this store and will be coming back for any repairs or tires in the future! Hope this review helps anyone who is looking for a great shop with intellegent workers and friendly customer service :)

The good: I went in for 2 new tires and that is what I got. I told them I had a crock pot on at home and needed to be gone in about 2 hours and they had me out of there in 45 minutes. Also, everyone was friendly and seemed to be doing their jobs.
The bad: The only reason I’m not giving more stars is that they don’t have any selection in tires. I was literally given one choice at $ 64 dollars a piece (even though I just got a coupon for Les Schwab at $ 40 a piece). Also just a heads up if you go there and have never been there before, they’ll tack on the «tire care package» at about $ 20 per tire and a «road hazard» at about $ 11, whether you like it or not. Supposedly it’s supposed to help you out if there are any problems with your tires post this visit.

Going with the cliché of being a woman at an autoshop, I took my car in to get a mediocre oil change and walked out paying over $ 800 worth of services. My car is about 6 years old and has been taken care of extremely well. Having moved to the Seattle area not too long ago, I trusted that I would be in a safe environment when I took my car in. After giving them several chances, some guy by the name of Mike decides to stiff me with a laundry list of things my car «immediately needed.» I had a feeling he would do that. Not knowing what to do and not having anyone to get advice from, I just gave up and forked over the money. My car does not feel or run any better than it did before. They charged me $ 25 for a flat repair, and over $ 50 in labor just to replace a cabin air filter. These little bogus charges added up quickly. d
If you are a woman going in there alone, they will try to milk your wallet for all it’s worth. They will try to tell you your car needs to stay there for hours and that you should leave it there. Then they will call you wherever you are and try to convince you that all of this crap is VERY IMPORTANT and that is should be done immediately. Then you will go home after paying about a month’s worth of rent on work and realize it was all a scam. Please do your research as I do not want anyone else to go through this.
