Group 2 Motorsports provides comprehensive automotive maintenance and repair services for daily drivers, as well as for street-​track cars, dedicated track cars and for full race cars!

We employee seasoned technicians versed in all brands of modern, classic, and vintage vehicles. We also specialize in custom fabrication, engine /​transmission, brake and suspension conversions, and provide onsite private vehicle storage.

The motorsports component comprises of building, repairing and maintaining track cars, as well as dedicated race car builds. G2 also offers a large range of merchandise and accessories including Sparco, OMP, Motul, Planted, Red Line and many more, available onsite!

History

Established in 2002.

Group 2 Motorsports was established in 2002 to service customers across the entire Puget Sound region, with a presence in close proximity to Seattle’s Queen Anne /​Magnolia /​Ballard /​Fisherman’s Terminal neighborhoods near the Interbay area.

We also service many customers from the Kirkland /​Bellevue /​Redmond and general east-​side areas! Group 2 is a bit of a destination — one never knows what unique projects you will encounter — so we always encourage a visit!

In order to adequately service our growing customer demand, the business was relocated in 2014 to a beautiful, spacious facility just one block away from the original location. With the two founding partners well into retirement, G2 was acquired by an enthusiastic former customer of 14 years in July of 2015!

As a well-​established fixture in the PNW track and race scene, we employ a team of five very experienced and qualified automotive technicians, a dedicated parts manager and an experienced, professional service writer.

Business Owner

I have been a devoted Group 2 Motorsports customer since inception at the original space (around the corner from the our bright, spacious new location!)

I built my own personal 3.7 litre 24 valve monster Milano /​75 Alfa Romeo DTM tribute project, at that original space, so my history with the original founders goes back 14 years! The opportunity to acquire G2 then and to develop the business — based on that solid foundation — and taking it to the the next level, is a dream come true for me personally! I am passionate about the brand and the people.

As a closet racer myself, I truly love the motorsports aspect of the business and enjoy interacting with the daily driver clients equally! While my personal background is in business development, financial and energy trading, my passion for anything with an engine in it, goes back to my early youth — growing up in South Africa!

Seattle is now my home, and with it — Group 2 Motorsports!
