Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt

Half marionberry pie, half passion fruit in the medium size. This one will be worked on throughout the week. Smooth thick texture like having an extremely fancy dannibals yogurt. Fruit/​toppings give it a nice kick without making it seem artificial. Service was prompt. Generous samples. I could use this in Austin.

The marionberry and lemon curd are both amazing. But you know what’s even better? MARIONBERRY PIE! This yogurt is totally different from the Greek yogurt you find in the grocery store. This yogurt is creamy without being too thick.
I really wish they would sell it in more stores in town!

Never thought I would crave yogurt. Yogurt is usually just something I grab like once a month if I’m really really hungry and really really lazy in the morning. Not my favorite. HOWEVER, Ellenos has changed all that. I currently have 3 huge tubs of Ellenos yogurt in my fridge and can’t stop eating it.
I’ve tried nearly all the flavors — all great so far, but the lemon cheesecake is just out of this world good. Tastes like a New York cheesecake and a lemon bar got mushed together (although not as disgustingly sweet as that would probably be in reality). All of the yogurts are the perfect balance of not too tart (it’s a veeeery smooth tartness) and not too sweet.

OMG! This is the best greek yogurt ever! So good! We tried tried the marionberry, the chai, and the natural. All 3 were really good, but flavored ones were the best out of the 3. Marionberry is probably the best out of what we tried. The yogurt is pretty heavy so don’t let the small size of the walk around food you. It’s about $ 3.95. I REALLY wanted to bring some home (California) with me. That’s how good it was. They have the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and creamy. I will definitely be back.

Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the blueberry crumble (ask for extra crumble).
I would move from sunny San Diego to Seattle for this Greek yogurt. I miss you Ellenos :(

Ellenos has a prime location right across from Pike Place Market. I hadn’t planned to go there at all but it looked really tempting as we walked by looking for the Gum Wall. The only thing I would change are the sizes… I wish they had one more size smaller. The small size is a meal in itself, very very filling! But for my first one, I couldn’t complain about the size… because it was so good! I’ve never had anything like it — fresh Greek Yogurt wins over any other yogurt! I ordered the Caramel Slice flavor… it was so creamy and perfect with the crumbles on top. It was almost cheesecake consistency. We also tried the mango and latte flavors at the Ellenos stand inside Uwajimaya Market. The mango was refreshing, and the latte flavor wasn’t too strong. Ellenos, please come to Sacramento!

It’s really good yogurt, slightly on the dense/​heavy side but that’s more greek in style.

Mind readers across Seattle heard me scream internally this afternoon, «HOW have I not reviewed Ellenos yet!?»
Luckily, after a brief search, I realized that I hadn’t reviewed their Pike Place location (maybe the listing is newer?) which makes sense — this is a not-​to-​miss spot in the Market!
If the market is crowded, this may be a tough one to find, but persistence pays off! Ellenos lies diagonal from Rachel the pig.
This is the best excuse to eat dessert for breakfast EVER — lovely and rich Greek yogurt. DON’T just get the handheld container — you’ll want some for later, so just bite the bullet and get one with a lid.
Take advantage of the samples. I think their pumpkin pie (seasonal) and marionberry pie flavors are best. Tourists — listen up! Pretty sure marionberries are a NW thing and they are amazing. So don’t miss this killer flavor!

Yeah, this was amazing. I really enjoyed how there is a honey base and not something excessively sweet like some vanilla-​based parfaits. It’s certainly rich, very smooth, still with some of that early dairy edge to each scoop.
All the flavors I tried (ginger raspberry, latte, marionberry) were nicely blended to match the intensity of the base, so with each bite I felt I could appreciate the full timeline of tastes. Was glad I could chose multiple flavors to layer in my serving.
I found the cup-​size surprisingly small at first glance but when taking my time to pick away at the mix – all while enjoying a stroll through the market, it took maybe 1.5 hours to finish. It’s definitely can last the morning and definitely feels filling.

BEST PASSION FRUIT GREEK YOGURT EVER.
All of their yogurt tastes good, but their passion fruit stands out most to me. The seeds are crunchy, unlike anywhere else I’ve tried before. (I guess I never had fresh and real Greek yogurt before). I had it twice on my short visit to Seattle. The Greek yogurt is very creamy in texture and well balanced in flavor. It’s not too sweet or too tart. Just PERFECT.
Try all of their flavors! The staff are very friendly and give you rather generous samples.

Why isn’t Ellenos in LA? If it was, it would totally be a hit.
I love how fresh and tasty it is and it’s not all tarty like most Greek yogurts. My favorite? The Marionberry Crumble with Lemon Cheesecake together. They let you sample whatever you want, so you can choose your favorite combinations. They probably have about 15 flavors everyday.
If you’re having trouble finding the stand, it’s right near the main entrance of Pike’s Place. Ellenos, please make your way to LA, you would do so well!

This frozen yogurt place is so good that I had to get it twice during my stay in Seattle!!!
Ellenos was sooooooo hard to find. I was getting so frustrated because we walked around the area literally 3 – 4 times, but I was determined to find it.
They let you try as many samples as you’d like, which is a plus. I ordered the marionberry pie. Mmmmm!!! Delish! The Greek yogurt doesn’t have that tart flavor. The pieces of pie crust were my favorite part of it all. I’d never tasted marionberry, and I’m normally the pickiest when it comes to fruit, but wowzaaaa, I loved it!
My other half got the passion fruit flavor. He said the flavor got old pretty quick. I tried a bite of it and it was a bit too tart for me.
The second time we came back, I tried their pumpkin pie flavor. They have actual pieces of pumpkin pie in it!!! I thought it was so cute! But that I chose to go with the marionberry pie again lol! Where am I gonna get that back home?! At least, if I want pumpkin pie, I can find it anywhere.
Their sizes include a small cup (which I think is more than enough) for $ 3.75. I saw someone get a small size and they mixed two flavors, so I thought that would be a good tip for someone who can’t decide which flavor to pick. They go up to a family size. I’d bring some home if my flight wasn’t so late in the night.

tldr; Marionberry and honey are my top picks! One is their specialty flavor and the other is a classic that lets you fully experience the greatness of Elleno’s Greek yogurt. If you don’t believe me, sample everything!
**TIP: If you’re from out of town then you can call them a day ahead to freeze your order and bring the yogurt on as a airplane carry-​on because it’s considered a solid. I did this this because I live in San Francisco and the TSA agent inspected it and said it was fine. You can also order the yogurts online but the shipping fee is astronomical. ($ 50 or more)
Easily the best I’ve ever had. Their yogurts are incredibly creamy (full fat Greek yogurt) and is eons ahead of Fage which you can find at the local grocery store. It’s not tart at all and just tastes like a heavier version of whipped cream that you have to believe is healthier! They are incredibly generous and will let you sample EVERYTHING. They last for up to 3 months in the freezer and 3 weeks in the fridge so get some to go!

Ellenos has won me over ! Greek yogurt is no longer just a breakfast food item, it’s delicious anytime of the day or night as a possibly «healthier «alternative to other sweet treats! It’s absolutely Delicious ! Depending on what flavor you chose, it can be sweet, tart, plain, whatever you’re in the mood for. The yogurt is handmade
, its rich and creamy and so satisfying. They let your try as many flavors as you want. My fave was passion fruit and lemon curd ! I will make sure to come back for more before I fly back home ! A+

Delicious!!! I had Ellenos before but I’m so glad I was able to visit the Pike Place spot. It’s a bit tiny so look carefully for it. It’s diagonal from the famous «Public Market» sign.
We tried the passion fruit and it was really good. I was already a fan of the original flavor and sometimes ate it with granola, but the flavored ones are quite good too. The prices are pretty reasonable and they give you a lot of yogurt in those little containers! Don’t be fooled because they pack it up real full.

Probably the best Greek yogurt I’ve ever had, and that is saying a lot, as I’ve had Greek yogurt in Greece many times.
Ellenos often has little samples out and once you try it, you’ll just have to buy your very own cup. They display the yogurt like gelato in a glass case and most of the flavors are loaded with tempting toppings from fruit to crumble.
I tried several flavors from the berry pie, to the espresso to the pumpkin and they were all heavenly. I decided on a cup of half natural and half berry pie. This was the perfect breakfast for $ 3.75. A must if in Seattle!

This place is so wonderful. Come here for life changing Greek yogurt! It’s delicious and healthy! I’ve had the marionberry pie, the lemon curd, the passion fruit and the mango and all of them are really good. A must try if you are visiting Seattle!
Update: the seasonal pumpkin pie is crack and so delicious. Get it if they have it in season!

I must be addicted because whenever I come visit Pike’s, I directly beeline it to Elleno’s because their Greek yogurt is just that damn good!
Located directly across the iconic Pike’s Place market sign, Elleno’s is an unassuming corner shop with trays of their yogurts on display. What makes it so good? The Greek yogurt that they use as their base is just insane! It is creamy and smooth with a slight sweetness to it. Each scoop almost melts in your mouth. What makes their flavors extra special? They incorporate actual pieces of the product that they use to create the flavor to produce a product that not only looks good, but also tastes good.
Although they tend to rotate their flavors seasonally, they do have several set flavors. My personal favorites from the regulars include the Mueseli and the chai flavored as they seamlessly blend into the traditional breakfast fare that yogurt fits along with. And as mentioned before, you see generous sprinkles of Mueseli and chai on top of the yogurt. They are also good about letting you try certain flavors before trying. You can also get two flavors in one serving but this option is probably better for flavors that blend well together.
The service is pretty fast and friendly. Parking is similar with all of Pike’s which is difficult to find and usually requires some fee but doable if you are okay with street parking several blocks away. If you are lucky enough to be close, a bike ride or walk is probably my best way to enjoy Pike’s anyway.
Overall, Elleno’s has amazing Greek yogurt that is out of this world good!
