We take joy in play and offer an environment where parents don’t need to say «Don’t Touch.» We feature hundreds of brands including Kathe Kruse, Trudi, Breyer, Corolle, Faber Castell, Schleich, Plan Toys, Automoblox & Ravensburger. We also have a wonderful selection of puzzles, games, gift bag goodies, science kits, arts and crafts, infant and toddler toys, wooden trains, plush and puppets, construction toys, dolls and figurines. And, of course, a HUGE collection of dragon figures and products!

Established in 2005.

Dragon’s Toy Box was started in 2005 by mother/​daughter team Gail & Brekke. We wish to share our joy of hands on play and the growth that comes from interacting with the physical world. We also work to bring socially and environmentally conscious safe toys from around the world to an aspect of children’s lives that can be saturated with indifferent mass market products.

We loved this store! It had so many fun and intriguing toys and games — many of which you don’t often see. My granddaughter enjoyed showing me the cute sign «Grandchildren at Play» while I was thrilled to discover packages of the old kids’ game, Jacks, with REAL METAL pieces. This store is a delight for grandparents and grandkids, not to mention Baby Boomers who love to spot older toys from their past to share with loved ones in their present. Add in the great staff who were friendly and helpful, and they definitely earned 5 stars from me. :)

This place is great. I went in and immediately asked for help finding a gift for a co worker’s kid. The very friendly clerk helped me pick out an Alaska Airlines plane play set ($ 17), offered to gift wrap it, and told me about their toy club where you earn points on each purchase. I can’t wait to come back for more toys when my baby is older. Definitely check this shop out for unique, quality toys.

This is the toyshop that books and movies and other fantastical tales are written about. It’s full of all kinds of wonderful items for kids (and hey, I buy myself something every time we visit too I admit) and the prices while not ‘discount store cheap’ are truly reasonable for a shop on what’s likely the most expensive real estate block in town.
We bought our daughter’s first teddy bear here, and it’ll always be ‘Babu’s House’ now, but even without the emotional pull, we love stopping in and seeing what new cool toys, games and things we don’t need but sooo want are this time.
The staff have been 100% perfect, asking if you need help, never hovering, always offering valuable tips/​advice when asked and just nice as can be.
For sure, you’ve got kids and you’re near the market, stop in. You’ll thank me later.

On both of my trips up North I’ve made a point to stop at this wonderful little toy shop in Pikes Place. They have some great stuff here– although most of it is for the younger crowd and sadly my oldest is getting too big for a majority. However without fail I always end up finding something here.
Added bonus– the staff here is SUPER friendly and helpful… and even remembered me (and told me I should move up there) on my last trip this weekend.
If you have kids 13 or younger, you’re bound to find something. There’s lots of learning oriented activities for a wide age range as well as some more artistic stuff. Last time I was here I got a constellation globe and this time I got a doodle/​coloring activity book & a wind up skeleton (which ended up being for me).

Great little toy store. My youngest daughter found a stuffed animal she adores, but my older daughter had her heart set on Playmobile. While they don’t carry Playmobile the person working didn’t hesitate in letting me know who in the neighborhood did carry it. I appreciate the honesty and helpfulness. We’ll be back the next time we go to the market.

Dragon’s Toy Box ist ein tolles Spielzeuggeschäft mit einem etwas anderem Sortiment. Hier gibt es zum einen viel für den Kopf, also viele Puzzle (Ravensburger, auch 3D), Denkspiele und Geschicklichkeitsspiele.
Andererseits aber auch viel liebenswerten Kleinkram, wie z.B. Kreisel, kleine Fallschirmspringer zum hochwerfen, u.v.m.
Ich bin schon oft hier gewesen und entdecke in dem eher kleinen Laden immer wieder Neues!

This was a fun place to walk into if you are young at heart like myself. They have great games, stuffed animals and a great staff. I even asked the salesperson (I didn’t get her name unfortunately) if Nanoblock had squirrels in their collections and she took the time to check. Unfortunately, Nanoblock has not thought of this idea :(but overall if you want to buy for babies, toddlers, small children all with helpful staff, this is the place to go!!!

I had to buy a cribbage set for work and this place is one of the few that carried it. They were nice enough to put it on hold for me and helped email me a receipt almost immediately after I called. The customer service here is unbeatable. Thanks DTB!

It’s not the game and toys, but the super helpful staff that makes this store fun.
I walked in looking for Taboo, which they didn’t have. But the saleswoman quickly figured out the kind of game I was looking for suggested a couple of games along the same theme. Also offered advice on checking with other toy stores in the area about Taboo.
Then she offered to teach me Anomia with the demo set, and also took out time to show me Mille Bornes. These guys know their stuff. And help you out without putting any pressures for sales.

I’m surprised that Dragon’s Toy Box has more 4s than 5s to be honest. While it’s true that you probably shouldn’t go way out of your way to visit this store, if you’re a 15-​minute or less bus ride from it and have some wee ones to buy for, I think it’s worth the trip.
The sales people are friendly and knowledgeable — good for someone who isn’t familiar with kids’ toys, like myself.
They specialize in high quality toys from around the world and have lots of organic toys — great in an age when there are so many toy recalls.
FREE gift wrapping!
They ship all over the world. The staff was very helpful and accommodating too! I purchased several items at the store, but I didn’t have the shipping address handy. They were more than happy to get started wrapping my gifts and wait for me to call in the address.
My brother and sister-​in-​law LOVED the gifts I picked-out…and I’ll assume my nephew will too… he just can’t talk yet. :)
I will definitely be going back there for all my other kiddie gift needs!

I actually love Dragon Box for their greeting cards. Never really bought any toys here, but as soon as I have some kids to shop for, I’m looking forward to patronizing them. I’ve spent a lot of time browsing and it looks like they have lots of great educational tools posing as toys which I am a big fan of.

If you’re downtown, the Dragon’s Toybox is a nice little place to stop to get presents for the little ones in your life. My sister in law is paranoid about anything manufactured in China right now… or anything dyed… or anything not reviewed by some independent board… so I’m lucky I live near the Dragon’s Toybox. They have a little section of toys geared toward young children made with all natural materials and inks, rated by developmental age. More importantly, my nieces go crazy for them. Every time we get them something new from the Toybox, it becomes their new favorite over any of the stuff their parents buy :)

The store here isn’t huge and isn’t worth going out of your way for, but if you’re in Pike Place Market it makes for a nice stop.

Overall great selection of everything from puzzles to model horses to art supplies to baby dolls. Although… they didn’t have the model horse I was looking for… just kidding.
But seriously… great all around toy store that is nicely laid out and his nice people working there. The prices are fine… ranging from a $ 6.99 tambourine to a $ 50 mobile and beyond.
Good place for stocking stuffers!

My only problem with Dragon’s Toy Box is that they have too much cool stuff. Well, that and they are only open 10 AM to 6 PM every day of the week. And the fact that I saw an educational game with a misspelling on the front of the box. So they «loose» one star (according to the game’s obviously over-​taxed spell-​checker).
Otherwise, crammed into the slightly small space they have great games, books, dolls, puzzles, science-​y type sets and lots of things for the child in everyone.
Also, their prices seem to be fairly reasonable, especially considering they’re located downtown. The staff was friendly but not pushy and I managed to find some kick-​ass gifts for my friend’s 6 year old. Go me!

This is a great little toy shop near Pike Place that carries a wonderful assortment of games and toys. This isn’t an average type of toy store. They have have better quality toys and classic games. They have carry lots of science and learning style games, fun desk top toys, and even a bunch of jewelry boxes.
I came in here seeking a Mancala board, that great African game where you try to collect all the stones and they had one at a great price.

I love toy stores, especially when they carry toys that I actually know how to work. The good olé’ fashion ones… without instructions or memory cards. They carry toys to make you smarter but also stuffed animals, costumes, and great stocking stuffers. You’ll have fun here no matter what age you are. (large sized bear stuffed animal in pic is $ 299)
